Someone takes good care of this hostel. It's obvious it's very well run. There are generous little things that indicate guests are given the benefit of the doubt, like the pool is open until quite late, nobody cares if you have a late arrival, the TV room is always open, etc. Kitchen is accessible from something like 3:30am. There is a nice relaxed friendly vibe. It feels like a place you could spend a few weeks, if you could think of something to do in Port Macquarie.

The room decor was a little basic and it was hard to close the curtains in such a way that there was no gap for someone to look in. Not a big deal.

Though I only stayed at Ozzie Pozzie for one night, I really enjoyed my stay and am appreciative of the friendly staff :) I liked how the YHA allowed me to check-in after hours and for providing clear instructions upon my arrival. With plenty of great natural sunlight, a comfy and clean bed and brightly coloured teal walls, I really loved the gorgeous little corner room I was in. I liked that the private rooms were secluded in their own section and found the shared bathroom to be very clean. The street parking was great as well. I'd definitely stay here again :)

So many beautiful plants. The plants are well maintained. Spacious and relaxing public area. So many different public rooms for choice. Walking distance to beachside. Staff is nice. 11am noise curfew is the best!( for a shared space.). And the surf, bicycle and yoga events for option!

The mattress is a bit way too soft which is not so comfortable for one’s back. A little bit ant problem remind me of the latest Netflix serious A hundred years old of solitude. Lol

I had a single room in separate building to dormitory sleeping area and couldn't recommend more highly. There are 3 single rooms in the separate building and if you had 3 friends staying together this would be perfect and private as there is a large living area with a couch, in the building outside the rooms and an excellent bathroom, so clean and large. There is also access to a massive kitchen with literally everything you could hope to find in a good kitchen and more. Also an excellent location, very quiet if you want that too and a pool and outside area if you want to socialise there. I will definitely stay here again. I have stayed at motels in Port that aren't close to the great quality you can expect here. Happy times much appreciated!

Absolutely nothing I didn't like as everything was perfect, even a fresh bathmat in the bathroom.

My stay at the Ozzie Pozzie backpackers hostel was amazing! Clean kitchen, clean room, there was enough space to sit down. Nice pool with cozy places to sit , tv area and there was also a room with a pool table. You could always go to the reception for questions and they where happy to help. Really enjoyed my stay here!

The room was very clean but in the evening al of a sudden there where a lot of ants in the room

Communication and check in arrangements were great as we arrived late off the greyhound. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Shared bathroom and all other areas (kitchen etc) also very clean. Kitchen was well organised with all equipment needed to cook (although just be aware there is no oven). Check out process also well organised as again we left late on the greyhound. Kitchen does get locked at night (11pm I think it was) so just make sure you get everything out before the if you're leaving in the night. It's about a 40 min walk to the koala hospital which is worth a visit.

Hostel provided all that was needed whilst in Port Macquarie. Roughly a 15 minute walk into the town this hostel was in a convenient position, as well as roughly 15 mins from the Greyhound Bus Stop. Hostel was clean and tidy, and provided lots of common space with a decent sized kitchen and dining area. Rooms were of a good standard and provided lockers. The hostel also has a pool and TV room. All staff were friendly and helpful if needed.

Whilst the kitchen closes which is very understandable it would just be handy to have somewhere to be able to gain water, e.g water machine.

This hostel has a really nice feel to it, I felt welcome and comfortable. Lady at reception was excellent! It's centrally located, I could walk to get some dinner just around the corner. The room and bathroom facilities were clean and cosy. I got a private room and it was perfect for a night's stay.

Only thing I probably wouldn't book this room in summer because it only had a fan and was front facing so it did get some heat. Staying in April it was fine though and for the price well worth it.

Everything was amazing here! The number of common areas such as the reading room, movie theatre, games room, pool area with nice seating, and the amount of tables outside under shade to relax and chat. The TV room is open 24/7, the kitchen has food facilities, and the staff are so lovely! The washing line is really decent for the amount of people, and the cleanliness is great. Definitely the best hostel I stayed in after 6 weeks of travelling the East Coast!
