I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sandcastle Apartments in Port Macquarie! The ocean view from my balcony was breathtaking, and watching the whales play was a truly magical experience. The apartment itself was incredibly spacious and felt like a home away from home, with all the comforts you could wish for. The staff were outstanding - their friendliness and exceptional service went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The location couldn't have been better, with shops and beautiful beaches within walking distance. The easy and secure parking was a bonus. I highly recommend Sandcastle Apartments for a fantastic and unforgettable getaway!

There wasn’t a single thing that I didn’t like. It was amazing.

The location, very close to everything and good view of the beach just across the street. Friendly staffs. The property is clean and maintained not just the apartment we stayed at but also the common areas including the parking space. Overall happy with our stay.

The studio apartment is a good size for a couple, clean and everything you need is available. The only downside for us is the actual bed, although big and well made with fresh clean linen, the mattress is not firm anymore and not as comfortable, a little worn out, it hurt our backs. But overall it was enough for a weekend getaway.

Jenny at reception was very enthusiastic and clearly had a detailed knowledge of Port Macquarie which she was only too happy to share. The apartment was big and spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

The bathroom was very small and the shower was one of those in the bathtub types, which personally I don't like. A word to the tall, I am only average height and the shower head was in line with my chin, which meant I had to crouch considerably to wash my hair. On check out you are provided with a list of instructions, such as stripping the bed and placing all the sheets in a laundry bag - not a big ask I agree but the reason I stay in nice places is that on holiday I am paying someone else to do that. There is also a requirement to take all your rubbish to the rubbish room which was locked and difficult to access.

Location was fabulous with fantastic sea and beach views. The apartment was very nice with a lift to the door. Car parking was excellent, a dedicated garage was available for the apartment in a secure underground car park (this is not mentioned in the advertising). A lift took you directly from the garage to your front door. The large balcony gave a good level of privacy.

No cleaning products were provided and no welcome pack. The fridge/freezer was very noisy and there was a stale smell in the bathroom/toilet areas. Only one bath towel each and one tea towel was provided. I found the bed uncomfortable, but resolved this by placing a blanket under the bottom sheet (this is more of a personal choice as we are used to softer beds). The wifi was good but was not secured, as was shared with whole block of apartments. The apartment didn't quite meet our expectations, and therefore, we felt it was overpriced.

The location on Town Beach is outstanding, the views breathtaking and the apartment is large, light and airy and well appointed. The King bed is exceptionally comfortable. Close to 2 great cafes and a short walk into town centre along the Breakwall, we parked our car and didn’t use it the entire 2 weeks we stayed. This is our fourth stay at Sandcastles, it never disappoints.

Lack of off street parking for higher than average vehicles.

Amazing accommodation. My partner and I stayed at Sandcastles for a week and it was the best stay in Port Macquarie. We had the one bedroom with the balcony ocean view. The apartment was updated and the bed was comfy. Directly across from the apartments is Town Beach. From there you can walk into the main part of town or go for an afternoon stroll along the boardwalk hoping to see dolphins. Security is fantastic and the parking is secure as well. Also at the back of the apartments is Port City bowling club where the meals are very delicios

Fabulous location & furnishings, the lounge was a bit uncomfortable but it was still ok. We took push bikes & location was great for this & lots of beautiful walks too. A nice relaxing holiday, no rush for anything.

Although we had an incident with a dining chair breaking, the manager & service was fantastic in resolving this issue. Top notch & professional friendly service xxx

Loved the location and the very helpful staff that called me, and then met us on arrival and walked my husband through everything from parking to room entry. The view and accessibility to the beach were bar none. The master bed was so comfortable. The place was huge!

The bedroom doors don't have a lock. The master ensuit toilet is exposed and situated inside a glass shower-like cubicle and smelt a bit of some cloying cleaning product. The place was a little tired. The toilet roll holder fell on the floor as the toilet paper was reached for in the guest bathroom. The toilet button came out while flushing in the master bedroom and the bathroom drawer was stuck. The light above the mirror would flicker on and off. All of this though for the price we paid you can easily live with.
