Right from the onset, the warm and amicable team at the motel made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and courteous service were the hallmarks of our stay. The room and amenities were impeccably clean and well-maintained, offering a comforting retreat after our day's adventures. What caught us by surprise was the spacious double room we were allocated. The photos on booking.com hardly do justice to the spaciousness and comfort of this room - it's a hidden treasure that families, especially those of 5-6 members, will find absolutely delightful. I strongly recommend updating the online listing with more photos to fully showcase the charm and space the room offers. Our family felt at ease and thoroughly enjoyed the cozy ambiance the room provided. It was airy, large, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, making our stay stress-free and enjoyable. A nicely appointed property, tidy rooms that were comfortably warm without being stuffy. Coffee machine in the foyer that was free for guest use was a nice touch and much appreciated. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There wasn't anything much to complain about. Reception closed at 7PM and after that you needed to use an access card to get into the building. Not a huge issue, but 7PM seemed a bit early to be closing up.

Great location, close to main street. Large spacious room, comfy bed. Very clean and quiet.. We asked for a ground floor room with no stairs and were accomodated. Plenty of easy parking and lovely staff.

Wi-fi was unusable the night we were there. Although they have a commercial kitchen, there is no breakfast option (which we knew in advance) however there is a comfy guest lounge with a free coffee machine. The room also has tea and coffee facilities as well as a toaster and microwave, so no problem.

Tremendous customer service here. I arrived outside their normal closing hours and had an issue with my booking not going through properly. They were super helpful and took time out of their evening to make sure I had a place to stay. Very friendly and accommodating, rooms were brilliant value and in a beautiful part of the country. Would recommend highly.

stayed her many times over several years and I have never been disappointed by the service and presentation of the hotel. I understand new owners have recently taken over and they have maintained the level of really good quality service. There was a minor mix up in terms of the configuration of our room…ie we requested twin beds but the room was made up as a king bed. However, when I bought this to the attention of the new owner her acted promptly and fixed the situation….even upgrading us, extremely grateful for this. I will continue to stay at this lovely hotel.

A minor issue, but I did notice a slight unpleasant odour in the hall. I had not noticed this before so I’m not sure if there was some sort of problem with ventilation. Maybe automatic air fresheners would help. But really this was not a real problem but might be a little off putting for people who have not previously stayed there.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful in answering any queries we had in relation to the room. She was also very accommodating when we requested to temporarily store our bikes on the property. The keyless entry is a great idea and avoids the need to carry a physical key.

Our room was facing onto the main road which meant there was a reasonable amount of noise from passing cars and trucks. Aside from this there was nothing else to fault. We enjoyed our brief stay at the Grand Country Lodge!

Cas was extremely helpful when the fridge wasn't working and the aircon was playing up. She got it all sorted very quickly. She was polite, responsive and quick with her problem solving. It made what started off to be an unpleasant stay after a long day's drive from Brisbane, to be a good one. Thanks Cas!

The bathroom, set up for disability access, had a problem with the floor flooding after a very short shower. They had provided an extra towel and bathmat to cope with this.

It felt clean and cared for. Pretty sound proof so you couldn't hear people in the room next to you. Room was clean and felt fresh. Sheets on beds were really crisp and clean and the bed was comfy. Close to town, walking distance. Parking was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were also complementary water bottles. The room just felt really nice.

The only thing was the noise of the trucks, traffic which came through the windows at night in the early hours but you can't help that. Maybe a hedge might help.

The family room we upgraded to was so spacious and well equipped. The room was very clean and was serviced to a high standard every day we were there. We would certainly stay in the same room again the next time we are in Mittagong.

The bed was a little too soft for us. That is just a personal preference thing and would be different for everyone. We really do not want to be too negative as we really did enjoy our time there.
