Very polite staff with nice people. There is three parking available in case the front one is busy. You can get free parking if you sign up as a member. We liked the location and the view! It was quiet and cozy. The bathroom was clean and breakfast was good enough. The mini fridge was good, the tv was good, and the sheets were clean.

We saw two black spots on the wall next to the tv which gave me anxiety hoping those are just moth/fly eggs, but nothing else. I am not sure. I inspected the whole room and it was clean, but only those two spots.

The hotel location was wonderful! The only issue was some construction around the area but overall very easy to find. The breakfast was very good for the price of the hotel, the room was amazing with even more of an amazing view. The bathroom/bedroom were clean. WIFI was included in the price of the hotel. Overall I would come back here again!

The pillows were uncomfortable to sleep on for me as I have neck issues, they were quite thin! The bathroom - the only downside is that the toilet and the sink were very low (well below waist) but still usable. The toilet seemed a bit rusty on the bottom but it didn't really affect my stay in any way, it was more of cleanliness thing.

We chose this place for its amazing view of Ottawa river and Parliament building and we weren't disappointed - heart of the city visible from your room is wonderful! Room is comfy; bathroom is new and very comfortable, has everything you need (except mentioned bathrobes), also has a large window with nice view. Great benefit - free coffee machine with tasty coffee and microwave near reception (there is also small coffee machine in room, but the coffee is not tasty). Daily room cleaning. Great area: quiet but close to store, restaurant, park, museum, bus stop, bridge to Ottawa.

The only one real problem is the air conditioner: it's noisy, and the worst part both ours and next room's air conditioner were placed on our balcony - this makes it almost not possible to stay on the balcony since it's very noisy and very hot.

The hotel is already a bit old, which is visible in the installations and equipment. But the rooms are clean, the price is OK for Ottawa. The advantage is free parking. The area is quiet, but the bridge located nearby was closed, maybe that's why. You can get to the city center on foot, but the hotel is located on the other side of the river, so it's a distance of over 1 km.

The hotel is OK for short stay

Walking distance to parliament. Nice hotel overall. Really good breakfast (eggs bacon sausages pancakes toast etc).

The hallways/hotel room had a weird smell. Our room door didnt close easily. The guy at reception told us we had a room with a view of the parliament but it was a room with a view of the back street where it seems homeless frequent. We barely spemt any time in thr hotel so it didnt matter too much but it was a disappointment. As we came in late, we got a bag of popcorn. He never told us there was no microwaves in the rooms.. so we had to come back down. It was just annoying as we were tired. The coffeebar/microwave area was dirty and not stocked.

Good location and very nice view of the river and Ottawa. Staff were nice. Walking distance from the Canadian Museum of History and Children's Museum.

Parking was scarce but we were lucky to find one and we didn't use our car for our entire stay (2 nights) so we wouldn't lose our spot. Very long line and wait for breakfast and the dining area is quite tight and small. No more bacon on the second day. They easily run out of other food, too like pancakes. The shower knob was loose so it was hard to control the water temperature.

The hotel was close of the city center of Ottawa. The room was clean and we had enough towels. The soaps (hand and body) and the lotion smelled really good. It was quiet. The lady at the front desk was bilingual. The parking was free if we created an account, which we did for free too. Everything in the room worked as planned and we didn’t encounter any issue in our stay.

The elevators were tiny, super slow and always crowded. One of the two seemed broken, as it was never moving. In the end, it was faster to use the stairs all the time. In the shower, the shower head was way too low : I’m 6’2 and the water was coming out on my neck. It wasn’t comfortable to wash my hair. Having softer toilet paper would have been nice as well, instead of the transparent one available. Finally, there was almost never enough pancakes at the breakfast. They disappeared super quickly, and the poor guy working there was doing everything by himself : cleaning tables, refilling the food trays, etc. Give him some help so it can be a more peaceful job.

We had a king-bed room with balcony on 9th floor. The view is incredible, both daytime and night. The location is also fantastic. It is only 1 block away from Histroy museum/Children museum. We could walk there in 10 minutes in the morning, come out for lunch and a nap, then walk back again for afternoon.

Space is really limited in the main parking lot. But it has 2 other parking lot in the back of the hotel. There is also noise, but I didn't figure out whether it's from equipments on the roof or from the old Alexandra bridge.

Room

Front desk officer at time of check-in wasn't friendly. Seemed like he was not happy doing that time shift. Wanted to make a tea in the reception area machine there were no tea bags and when we asked front desk for some we were told they hadn't any. Big table in reception area was very dirty; when we sat down at it, front desk officer didn't even offer to clean it up.

River view with balcony overlooking the Pont Alexandra and Parliament Hill. Beautiful sunrise over Parliament. Buffet breakfast, friendly staff. Organic citrus shampoos. Convenience store next door. Short walk across to Parliament, Rideau Mall, and OTrain station.

No balcony furniture to sit or eat. Lots of cigarette ash from past guests. The pool is just off the lobby but you have to goto the first floor and take a staircase down, then take the staircase back up. No water bottles provided in room.
