Location, perfect little room and great beds...also very clean.

Difficult with a very early arrival 7 am...no one was at the hotel ..door locked...luckily we entered when a guest was leaving and we rested on benches...by 8:30 someone arrived and I took out my early arrival letter with their response for early check in by 9 or 11...the 11 check in was made possible . After no sleep over night, we coulc not have waited longer. So thank you for that. Perhaps a system can be set up for early arrivals.

We stayed here twice - before and then after a multi-day trip. Great location - right round the corner from bus stop #9 Snorrabraut for tour/airport bus pick ups. Surrounded by restaurants and only a short walk from supermarkets - Clean and warm - the central heating was very much appreciated due to the exceptionally cold weather (by our standards!) when visiting Reykjavik. Plenty of clean towels and comfortable beds. - Wifi was very good in our pre-trip room when we were on the 2nd floor. However, it kept on cutting out post-trip when we were on the 3rd floor. Note: The Wifi password is posted up in the hallway outside the rooms - A little street noise from outside (as rooms overlook a crossroads), but not enough to disturb our sleep - Secure entry using room key. The hotel is on 2 floors above a cafe and gift shop, and has its own separate entrance up a couple of steps - There is an small lift/elevator, but we found it easier to go up and down the stairs - Reception is not staffed continuously. There was someone waiting to check us in for our first visit when we were coming straight from the airport and handed us our room key card. The second time we had to buzz to be let in, and then within a couple of minutes someone came from another building to check us in. That time, the room key card had been left in our room (as per their check in process for arrivals after 18.00). To check out, you just leave the key card on the desk - Very reasonable room rates - especially as you probably won't spend too much time in your room, given all that Reykjavik and Iceland has to offer. Perfect for coming back after a day's exploring to sleep. Tip: If there are any restaurants you particularly want to visit, do make reservations in advance to avoid disappointment. We had to make alternative plans when a couple of places we'd earmarked were completely booked up for dinner the whole time we were there.

Although there was a kettle and cups, there were no tea bags or coffee available. So bring your own if you'd like to make yourself any hot drinks. - We knew from other reviews that the bathroom floor could get a bit wet, as it's essentially a wetroom. So you'll need to make use of the supplied squeegee to mop this after a shower. A bath mat would have been great to stand on, especially for the area in front of the toilet

Checkin was quick by friendly staff. The hotel was clean and comfortable and location was excellent. Bus stop across the street to meet up with planned tours. Many restaurants and shopping within walking distance as well as major tourist sites. We were able to walk to every place we visited in town. There are also a couple grocery stores nearby for anything you may need including one east of hotel about 1/2 block that I believe is open 24/7. This was where we went for breakfast food and coffee/tea out of a machine. Across street from that grocery is a large food court type of place with a lot of food options.

Room was small without much storage area for luggage and clothes but was clean and had comfortable beds. Bathroom could have used a shelf or 2 for toiletries. No amenities in lobby and would have been nice to have at least a coffee machine.

The location was excellent, beds very comfortable, and staff clear and helpful. We had more than enough room for our family (2 adults, a teen, and a preteen). I also appreciated that the curtains were good at darkening the room for sleep and that the heaters were easy to adjust for colder nights. The budget-friendly rates make up for all of the minor issues I'll note.

The bathroom could use some updates. The bathroom door lacked a lock, but we simply kept it ajar if not in use. It also had no towel hooks or toilet paper holder. (Both towels and toilet paper, however were plentiful and accessible.) Finally, we would have liked having complimentary shampoo rather than simply soap.

Cleaning is ok, I mean after sleeping in camper 5 days u can sleep inside every hotel for one night. Location is really good it's on top of most famous street. And value for money is totally ok I'd u compare to other hotels

Entrance to the building is really weird. There is some Chinese restaurant/coffee or whatever restaurant, with really funny reception and to be honest I was even a little bit scare somehow doesn't look like hotel at all. It's possible to left your bags in some space (it's really weird space again) but real issue is that check in is from 3PM. I mean people, from 3 PM? It's best that we don't stay at hotel at all and just pay u.

Location was perfect easy to get to the city center and also to bus pick ups.. The 2 rooms I stayed in were both excellent... bathrooms were super clean and up to date.

No one was there when we arrived early am, although I had indicated we would arrive at 7:30 am or so. Door was locked. Luckily a guest was leaving soon after we arrived and we were let into the lobby. I had requested early check in and had received answer that they would try to accommodate. They said perhaps by 9 am or 11 am. We did get in by 11 am which was good as we had not slept for 24 hours and could not do a thing before we got some rest.

Had read a lot of mixed reviews, so wasn't expecting much - but this was the only hotel that had rooms at EUR 100 AND was right in the center, so we booked it bc it was only for one night. All we needed was a bed and a bathroom, and that's what we got - it really wasn't bad at all. Nothing luxurious, but in Reykjavik, where a hostel bed costs almost the same, this was a great deal! And the location can't be beat. Super central to the Downtown, and also to various bus stops (we took a public bus to the Cruise terminal the next day - it's only like 10 minutes. ) Oh, and on top of that, they actually had the room ready for us early - I had messaged them about this, not expecting any luck!

If you want luxury, don't come here. If you want a very reasonable deal and a great location, do!

This was a great hotel for me, it's right at the beginning of the big shopping street so it makes shopping downtown very accessible. The room is not huge, but let's be honest if you are on holiday in Reykjavik and spending all your time in your hotel then you are doing it wrong! The bed was great for me but had plenty of room for two. The bathroom is very typical, the shower is also pretty typical for what you see at a lot of the hotels there. The room was super clean and was better than I had expected for the price I paid. If you want to be close to great food and great shopping then this is the hotel for you.

Really if I had find one thing to not be happy with I would say the batteries being dead in the tv remote lol but really there was nothing I didn't like about this room.

It was in a good location to shopping and restaurants. It very close to the stop where most tours by buses would pick up and drop off. The room was very basic but comfortable. I didn't book the room to plan on doing more than sleep and shower. If you are looking for a hotel that offers all the extras this isn't for you. If you want somewhere clean with friendly staff and good location and price this is for you.

I wouldn't say I didn't like the shower but a bit more up dating. A lip to keep the water in the shower area and a couple of hooks.

Very convenient location, literally across the road from Bus Stop 9. Check in and out was easy. For twin share with a private bathroom, I'd say it is one of the better places in town. Rooms were cleaned daily. Staff was easy to contact via Booking.com and they responded within a couple of hrs.

The whole bathroom is a wet room, which can make getting changed after a shower tricky (especially when sharing with someone you don't get changed in front of). This type of bathroom is common in Iceland, though. The desk is not staffed all the time. Which is fine for the most part. The only time it was an issue was checking out. As there was no one there, we couldn't ask to leave bags at the desk.
