I liked having access and use of a kitchen, Iceland being quite expensive this was a big bonus (with also the more cost effective supermarket ‘Bonus’ around the corner) The room was clean and nice, having a hand basin in the room was convenient (bathroom and shower is shared and is perfect floor, I never had to wait to use the facilities and it was always clean) the heating was adequate, the host was responsive and helpful, the proximity to one of the bus stops (not the main bus station) was great, overall it was good stay.

I would have liked a desk in the room, but this is not something included this is just a personal preference. The only other small thing was I found the lighting in the room a little too dark, but this is a very minor thing.

The lobby was very modern and the kitchen was large and well equipped. Comfortable distance to the center of town and free parking outside - rarely struggled to find a space. The Kringlan mall is 5 minutes away by car and the Bonus supermarket is 5 minutes away by foot. The room was warm and comfortable.

The communal bathroom in the lobby was often poorly stocked with toilet paper and fresh towels. Some guests less considerate of others cook strongly scented foods - as it is usually cold out the smells tend to linger in the lobby and stairwell. Bedroom doors seem to need to be pulled firmly to close, which results in lots of door slamming through the day and night.

It was surprisingly well finished inside. The room was big, the ensuite bathroom was also good size and clean. Waterflow was strong and hot. Beds were comfortable, the windows opened, radiators were working. Honestly it was very good quality. The field kitchen was small, but tidy. We had a look in shared bathrooms as well, and they also looked clean. Overall everything was as it should be.

Just the fact the are where the hotel is situated, is a hotels area and there is quite few of them there. And the touring buses were just coming in out out 24/7, but we were on 4th floor so it want too but for us, just a bit of annoyance, but ppl on ground floor must have been a bit cross.

The hostel is located 700-800 meters from the center, and there is a Bonus store 100-150 meters away! On the third floor, there is a kitchen... The room was clean and spacious, with a sink and mirror inside... the beds were comfortable! It has a few shortcomings, but overall it's great for the money I paid.

There are four floors without an elevator (we had to carry our huge luggage up to the 4th floor). One kitchen is too little for four floors (it gets very crowded in the evening) and the oven is very old (we spent 3 hours baking 3 pizzas). The bathroom is cleaned only once a day!

Great location close to centre of Reykjavik. Comfy beds shared kitchen and bathroom. One great thing was you could store your luggage on the last day when you have checked out as they have lockers abd able to enjoy your time before your flight

Cleaners were noisy in the mornings shouting and banging around cleaning rooms where people had checked out. I understand they are just doing their jobs but could have been more thoughtful to those who are still trying to sleep and enjoying their holiday

To be honest, this accommodation totally exceeded my expectations. Don’t expect fancy as it’s budget but it had everything I needed for my stay. Knowing how expensive vacationing in Iceland can be, this affordable accommodation was a gem! To start off, the communication with the hotel staff was very smooth and they were extremely helpful and accommodating to my needs and really helped me with lifting my heavy luggage, storing it and helping me bring it back to the bus stop. Very friendly hard working staff. The kitchen had all the kitchen essentials in order to make your own food which was handy. The room is basic but was clean and ideal for my stay. The location is very close to local Bonus supermarket, shops and coffee places and downtown Reykjavik is just a stone throw away! - a mirror missing from the bedroom that wasn’t a big problem. - no lift in the accommodation and having to walk 4 flights of stairs but that’s common in Iceland that there are no lifts in these type of guesthouses. Thankfully the staff were very helpful with helping me with my luggage.

The location of the guesthouse was very central and pretty good value for money. Dalfoss was quite helpful in arranging an empty room for us when the radiator in our room was not working. He was quick to respond and resolve issues. The room was clean, and the kitchen was the highlight. More than enough cutlery, utensils, glasses, mugs, and appliances to make whatever you want. The guesthouse was quite clean, including the shared bathrooms.

The radiator in my room was not working, but Dalfoss immediately offered a replacement.

The location is good with nearby grocery store, bus stop, easily reachable by walk to the attractions. The kitchen is good. Toilet were clean.you can store luggage if we reach early or have a late flight.

Kitchen timing is not convenient if we have an early flight, there's no light till 6 am , it's centrally operated,we cannot put it on and cannot use the kitchen to make tea or coffee. The beds are small atleast they should 3 feet width a standard size.

Very clean, the cleaning staff are the only ones you will see it's self check-in.The shared showers were very clean. Use the 3rd floor they have more changing room. I think I saw a guy that worked there the first day and last day by chance. The cleaning staff are so nice and do a really good job. There is a good food hall nearby. Flybus and other tours do pick-up at the door or nearby.

I stayed there with some friends and then booked an extra day. The first place was a shared room with a bathroom. The bathroom was a fun layout that we had a giggle over. The shower wouldn't drain, though. The location is about 15-20 min walk from the main areas. There are scooters everywhere, though, so it's not a huge problem.

I booked an en suite room for 7 days. I have sent checking in instructions which were easy to follow. The room had a bathroom and two single beds. The room was satisfactory but on the 4th floor without an elevator which made taking my 22Kg case up to the room difficult. The hotel is location within 10 minutes walk of the city centre and a Bonus supermarket is just around the corner from the hotel. There are cooking facilities on the 3rd floor with cooker, kettle & microwave.

The blinds did not fully cover the windows and there was building work opposite the hotel so work men were able to look in to the room which gave no privacy. There was no wardroom but a clothes rail (see pic) so had to keep most of my clothes in the suitecase. There was no room housekeeping so had to ask the cleaners for fresh towels.
