1. Old World, Authentic Charm: We loved the apartment's traditional character, mixed in with new design elements. The windows had functional shutters which added character and blocked out light at night, great for a good night's rest (or a nap during the day). 2. Convenient Location: Just beyond the bustling historic center, this apartment gave us a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle. The area had a genuine city neighborhood feel, providing an authentic glimpse into local life than we would have gotten in the historice core. The apartment hotel is a stone's throw away from the Bolhau Metro station and there are tons of mercados, cafes, restaurants, shopping all around. Most of the city's attractions were within a manageable 5 to 20-minute walking range. However, make sure you wear comfortable shoes, this city is super hilly. Up and down, up and down! Lastly, parking was at the mall for only 11 Euro/nt. 3. Bolhao Market is Right Across the Street: The nearby Bolhao market was an absolute highlight of this location for us. There is an assortment of farmers market stalls and ready-to-eat culinary delights from morning to night! We loved being able to get fresh foods to take back across the street to cook. There are restaurants in here, prepared foods, and even bar service. 4. Comfort and Functionality: We found the one bedroom, two bath apartment to be very comfortable with a functional layout. The air conditioning system worked well (there were two units). The fully-equipped kitchen, complete with a dedicated dining space, made it feel like a true home away from home. The bedroom's noise separation helped with creating peaceful evenings after putting the baby to bed. There was enough space for a crib in the bedroom (provided by the hotel). 5. Exceptional Service: The true icing on the cake was the impeccable service provided by the hotel staff.

Not a "negative" but worth noting that while parking was available in a nearby shopping mall for only 11 Euros per night, guests need to know to pay the attendant on the 6th floor of the garage to secure the special rate.

Perfect location in the heart of Porto- bonus that across the road from wonderful food markets as well as supermarkets next door. Great to have a light filled apartment, very quiet, really clean, excellent kitchen facilities and having washer/ dryer was a bonus. Absolutely lovely helpful staff who gave us lots of information for getting around Porto. We stayed 5 nights and we were offered to have our apartment cleaned with towels and coffee etc replaced during this stay. The pictures don’t do this beautiful apartment justice! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Leaving was hard!

Superb location right across the Bolhao market. Bus stop practically outside the doorstep and the metro stop just kitty corner. One block away from the pedestrian street, Santa Caterina. Walking distance to everything. Cute cafes all around. Mini market just steps away. The accommodations had everything we needed! Much appreciated was the full kitchen-every major appliance cleverly designed into one spot. Nespresso machine was an added bonus! The staff were incredibly helpful and were always in touch to check if we needed anything. Major plus was the elevator- hard to find in older buildings in this neighborhood. Recommend! Would definitely stay here again!

The sounds of neighbor walking in the hallway are amplified due to the hardwood floors.

The location was excellent - within walking distance of all our planned activities, although the hilly streets toward the river were challenging. The building is charming. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was nice to have to keep drinks and restaurant leftovers cold. There were several electrical outlets which was a big plus! The hot water was almost instant, thanks to the dedicated water tank in the apartment.

The room had a comfortable queen bed and a small loveseat, but no table space where we could spread out and look at our map and write down our walking routes. There was a single clothes hanging rod with hangers, but we couldn’t fit both of our small suitcases on the shelf below, so we had to put one on the floor. There were only two narrow towel racks in the bathroom, which were nearly useless, because they were halfway under the cabinets. I also wish there had been more than one small ice tray in the freezer. I think too much attention was paid to the decoration and artistic style than to the convenience the room provided to guests.

Loved the fact it was right across the street from the market. Staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. Kitchen had nice appliances, even an oven if you liked. Was great having the clothes washing machine. TV worked well as did the WiFi for us. Nice having an elevator as we were 4 floors up with a lovely balcony view of the street.

Our main complaint is upstairs has a very low door frame going into the bathroom. I am 5’7” and hit my forehead twice on this. It is marked, but in the dark at night you don’t see the warning. I could have seriously injured myself. Luckily didn’t.

Great central location across the street from the Bolhao Market. The pedestrian streets, historical sites, restaurants, and waterfront are all within walking distance from the apartment but there is also a metro station 1/2 a block away if needed. The apartment is in a historical building but the amenities are modern. The clothes washer, elevator, and air conditioning were much appreciated during our 10 night stay in early September. We loved the option of choosing the days for housekeeping refresh our room, and appreciated the reminders we received through What's App. Nuno and team were great communicators and helped us plug right into all Porto has to offer.

Everything was perfect but if I had to name something it would be to supply more hangers since there are no drawers, and place several hooks in the dressing/closet area and bathroom.

The atmosphere and quality of the accommodations was even more spectacular, more special in person. The blend of historical building with modern design and amenities was extremely nice to spend time in, and plenty of space to relax. It was perfect to be right across the street from the Balhou Market and a couple doors away from both a grocery and a bakery. Was happy to have the fridge and sink and microwave to not eat every meal out. Of course, if you are partial to the river and don't want to walk up and down the hill, this might not be your place, but if you enjoy walking, it's a reasonable and enjoyable walk and a great way to see the city. The staff is incredible. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and even helped me book a Douro Valley tour. Someone's on site 24 hours a day. This felt extremely safe and welcoming for a solo traveler. You want to stay here! You'll be so happy you did.

Very nice apart/ hotel , very well positioned. Well equipped and really friendly staff. Great shower which was small but worked well in the apartment.The complimentary taxi shuttle was safe and efficient. We used them on the return and again really fair value at E30 (25 mins). Would 100% stay there again.

Slight noise between room s and street but this is in the centre so only an observation NOT a complaint. Could do with a better kitchen sink tap as not very user friendly. Again just an observation. ON arrival it wasnt obvious how to enter the reception as we stupidly (as did other guests) thought it was the wooden doors with enty system and key holes. ATheres doors are for use once checked in. A phoito image might help. Again only a comment which we observe.

Location: Excellent location in the heart of the city and Unesco heritage area just opposite Balhao market. Walkable to most sites including the 18th century Santa Catarina chapel, the oldest cafe in Porto, Majestic cafe, the shopping street, etc. Service: if there was anyone that examplfies service and hospitality with a smile - this team is it! Always helpful, quick with queries and responses and suggestions to enjoy the local scene. From Emily (who assisted when we had questions with the washing machine and heater) to Rafaela, to Nuno (who checked us in and shared tips on where and what to see), to Luz and Rita (our initial contact person over WhatsApp). Thank you all 🤩 Facilities: This is a heritage apartment so it wont be for those who are used to modern Hilton, Marriott type hotels. Beautifully st4uctured with high ceilings and wooden flooring it feels homey and you csn look out to thr market from the balcony plus its fully fitted with an oven, microwave, cutlery especially, sugar, espresso machine, dish washing sponge and liquid soap - couldn't ask for more.!

The only thing we have a slight issue with would be the Queen sized bed which seemed small...enough for 2 a couple but can be rather squeezy if big sized.

Quite a stylish hotel, both old and modern spirit at the same time. Located in the best neighbourhood as it is the centre, but it is not noisy and there are no construction sites nearby like in the lower part of the old town. Supermarket right at the entrance, not a bad kitchen, dishes and appliances, everything is there. Very friendly staff, was willing to give advice on the city, solved questions quickly. There was a lift shaft right outside our room, but we couldn't hear the movement of the lifts at all!

From the photos we expected a slightly nicer view from the window. The wardrobe space is not designed for a long stay, but for a few nights it is okay!
