The room was impeccably clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a lovely view of the Main River!

Our only complaint is that the listing in Booking.com shows there is a restaurant in the facility. We did not have a car and booked the hotel specifically because it had a restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant is permanently closed and the closest restaurant is closed on Wednesday (the day we arrived) and the next closest restaurant is a half mile away. After traveling for 12 hours from the US, we were disappointed that we had to walk that far for dinner.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I arrived late but there were still people at the restaurant finishing up eating and drinking. They helped me bring my bags up the stairs then told me not to worry, they’d keep the kitchen open until I had time to come down and eat. The food and drinks were great and reasonably priced and the terrace outside was so charming. This is a local favorite restaurant and not your typical bland hotel restaurant. This was a great place for an overnight layover (a 16€ taxi ride away from the airport). The bed was comfortable and there was abundant hot water and excellent water pressure in the shower.

There were a few sleepy mosquitoes in the room when I arrived which was annoying but not surprising for summertime in Europe.

The location by the river and proximity to the airport made this a top pick. Additionally the staff was very friendly and the food was great. Additionally the windows are able to be closed with shutters to block out noise and light. Plus the room has AC

Nothing negative to report

Close to the airport with good access via taxi (20 euros) bus (stops across the road from the hotel), and train (short walk). It is on the Mainz river with nice walk along the river side (towards Kelsterbach is prettier).The little square outside the lutheran church is pretty. It looked like some of the guests got on a river cruise boat next to the hotel.

Busy restaurant took more staff attention than the hotel. Not much in Kelsterbach but some cafes and small restaurants near the train station.

The rooms were nicely decorated. There is a lovely restaurant serving great Greek food & the location was fantastic, overlooking the Main River which has a footpath laden with flowers...But more than all of that the Greek family that owned & ran the Hotel Restaurant treated us like Family - the difference to staying in a big brand hotel with all the facilities but you are just a number! You can't pay the staff enough to treat you like we were treated !

I liked the location, the restaurant (I had breakfast and dinner twice) and the room overall. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfy. Big plus: Individual A/C.

Noises from cleaning crew in the morning hours. The steep. narrow and winding staircase to bring my suitcases up and down. The shower holder was broken, and the shower slit down all the time.

Stayed for one night due to an early flight out from Frankfurt the next day. Location was good for airport access and is next to the river. There is a walking path and small playground nearby which we did not use due to getting in late, but was nice to see. Check in was fine, but as soon as we got our bags and came in a fire alarm was going off and there was no one on site to fix it (I think we were the last check in for the day). However this was resolved quickly, I think another guest called the owner.

The TV in our room turned on and then would not turn off. The owner said he would send someone to fix it but it was already so late and night and we had to get up so early we told him to just have someone fix it after we left. We had to put a blanket over it so it didn’t keep us up all night.

The host was very patient and thorough explaining to me about transportation to Frankfurt. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. I was absolutely satisfied. The location was right in front of a bus that goes to the airport and to Frankfurt and is along the river with a very lovely 10 minute walk to the train station.

Tastefully remodeled room and bathroom with all modern amenities. The room was on the top floor with skylight windows that could be opened wide and provided beautiful views of the surroundings and the Main river. The same windows also came with motorized blackout curtains to darken the room at night. Everything was very clean. There was a real Espresso machine, a kettle to make tea, and I even received two large bottles of water. I only stayed one night before a flight, but this place is worth staying longer.

The onsite restaurant was closed on a Saturday night, which was a bit disappointing. The staircase and hallways to the rooms (though also remodeled) were quite dark and didn't look very inviting. Brighter, more cheerful colors, and maybe some artwork on the walls would fix that easily.

Everything went well with the checkin process and very helpful getting our luggage to the room. Nice restaurant on the ground floor. Waiters were very patient with all of our questions. Nice breakfast in the morning. Just a short easy drive to the airport.

Stiars were a bit narrow to the rooms but the cook help carry our luggage up the stairs. Thank you very much.
