Location was excellent, a short walk from the beach and a short drive to shopping centres. Rooms were nice and spacious with comfortable beds. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Bottled water in the room isn't free ($8) and they manage to put this in very tiny font which I think is rather dodgy. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay at the Gates Hotel. Valet parking was available and worked out well. The restaurant on site was nice to have if you didn't want to go out in the neighbourhood to eat. The rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The pool area was very nice and had a variety of options for lounging which was nice.

When we first arrived we had to enter through the back door access as there was some construction going on out front, I needed to call the hotel to figure this out, there was no email or notice of this. There was some construction going on inside and out of the hotel which was a little disruptive as they were painting the driveway one day and we couldn't get access to the electric bike rental. We had a minor booking issue with our room and were assigned a different room than we had booked but it was quickly fixed for the next day and we were given a free breakfast and upgraded lounge access around the pool.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found its location to be absolutely perfect. Situated within walking distance to all the major attractions, it made exploring the city a breeze. What I appreciated even more was that it was on the quieter end of the strip. This meant that despite being close to all the action, I could still enjoy a peaceful night's sleep without any disturbances. It's the best of both worlds - convenience and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-located and peaceful stay!

While my stay at the hotel was overall pleasant, I must admit I was a bit disappointed by the 4 pm check-in time. After a long journey, I was eager to settle into my room and start exploring the city. However, having to wait until late afternoon felt like a significant inconvenience, especially considering that many other hotels offer earlier check-in times. It would have been much more convenient and accommodating to have the option for an earlier check-in, even if it came with a small fee. Hopefully, the hotel management will consider adjusting their policies to better accommodate the needs of their guests in the future.

I stayed at the Gates Hotel just for one night, short time though. The position was really at the center, close to the main streets on foot (Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive, Espanola Way and so on). Also there is a free trolley bus (the stop is outside the Hotel), which connects you easily to the center. The Hotel has also a swimming pool and a concierge, really nice view from the room, staff was kind and polite, room was clean and there was all the necessary.

There was no porterage service, so you have to bring the luggages in the room on your own. We just realized there that we had no breakfast included. So we decided to have breakfast there anyway and it costed us around 60doll for 2 omelette and 2 orange juices, but still it was good but a bit expensive :).

You can tell it is an older hotel. The lights in the room were hard to figure out. For example, you could not turn on the light switch in the bathroom without turning on all the lights in the room. Also, there was only one really small trash can in the room. Lastly, I was advised by the front desk staff that we should call them about 30 min before we planned to check out so our vehicle would be ready to go. The issue was the phone in the room did not have a button for the front desk and zero did not work. I had to leave my room and use the phone by the elevators to reach the front desk. The whole thing was inconvenient.

Beautiful, clean resort in Mid/South Beach with a VERY nice heated pool, jacuzzi, and daily entertainment -- even a free sip & paint night on Fridays. And of course, the famous DoubleTree cookies! The Hilton app allowed me to easily message hotel staff to ask for housekeeping and get questions answered. Rooms were comfortable and ours was extra accessible with a beautiful view of the MIA skyline. We also appreciated the microwave room downstairs, along with the in-room mini-fridge and iron. Beach was only 1 block away, and much of South Beach was walkable from the hotel. Aside from our check-in, we had a fun and comfortable stay here, and we'd definitely return!

Check-in was a bit rough as we messaged the hotel early for luggage assistance upon arrival, and were told it would be ready; however, we still had to ask multiple times and wait at the curb after our Uber dropped us off with considerable baggage after a rental car mishap. (There were also no luggage carts for self-service, otherwise, we would've done this!). We also got some inconsistent info on what the resort fee included, but the paper we got upon check-in helped!

My family loved the pool area. The room was a good size with ample space to store luggage. The closet was large as well as the bathroom. The art work throughout the building was amazingl Front dest staff were friendly.

Many times, the key card did not work in the elevator and one had to stand in line (sometimes for 15min) waiting for the front desk to reactivate the card. The cleaning staff did not always come to clean our room and sometimes it was not cleaned well at all.

Staff were very pleasant and we liked the pool area. Use of the water/ice machines in the corridors was helpful in a very warm climate. The rooms we had were good and the beds were very comfortable. 5/10 walk from Miami beach.

the restaurant was closed while we were there. We would have liked o have had the option of onsite breakfast or lunch. Its slightly away from the action down on 5th, which is a good 25/30 minute walk in the heat.

There was no breakfast included in the price which was a little disappointing considering the basic room rate is still quite pricey. However, I enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. The pool, room, and the location is superb. Such close proximity to the hustle of SOUTH BEACH

The price we paid on booking.com was cheaper than the hotel rate. In fact when we checked out we had to let them know of this as the hotel attempted to charge us a higher rate (room rate by the hotel).

When we arrived the check-in was late but the front desk made it up for it. Eloisa was kind and helpful to understand and gave us the best room with a pool view. The cleaning staff from the house keeping were kind enough to keep the rooms clean on daily basis. Bob the concierge / bell desk man is the most amazing guy always on his toes and extremely helpful. God bless you Bob. Over all had a good stay the location is very close to the beach. Good eating joints, coffee shop and the warm welcome cookies will make you smile the efforts hotel team takes to make your stay comfortable. The beach service they have is good. Worth it. The pool table and swimming pool (temperature control) is a bonus and upto date always. Thank you team Gates.

Nothing as much to be precise. I think they should supply two bottles of water everyday instead of just once during the check in.
