Excellent cost benefit in Miami, where prices are so high, it's possible to stay comfortable without paying much at Freehand. The staff is very kind and the room is very comfortable. The location is not the best if you're looking to go and come back from downtown, but it's possible to take the free bus Miami offers and the beach is quiet and great to relax. The hotel provides free chairs and an umbrella, which is AWESOME. Overall experience was excellent.

Lightning in the room wasn't the best, but honestly, nothing to complain, Just mentioning it.

I stayed for almost 30 days. The location is perfect. One block from the beach and bus around the corner all the time going everywhere.

The bedroom i stayed in was a shared room for 4 girls. I was lucky with the girls. We had the same manners towards each other, no problems. BUT they need a deep cleaning urgently. Sometimes I was in the bedroom when the girl was cleaning and she would spend maybe 2 minutes in there. Barely cleaned anything. Most of the staff was super nice!! Just I’d say to some of them “it doesn’t hurt to answer a “hello” or a good morning” every now and then.

I always like the service and the relaxing atmosphere after traveling or working, also because I have learned each time a new that I will encounter great people from diverse ventures of life, chives regarding space and common areas, great food, friendly staff and safety. The staff team has always been great like the smile and diligence of Alex, the patience and anticipation of Victor, the welcoming greetings and service of Agustina, the dedication of Florence to detail and modesty, the prudence and consistent work by the cleaning and maintenance team, the cautious and permanent serenity and politeness of Security team; the radiant attitude to inspire and transcend . We all love to be served as equals in respect. Thank You. I will always want to return. Great energy all around!

I realize how comfort can be diminished by disregarding extra hands on maintenance of though clean bathrooms, tiles on showers and humid environments. Godliness is something so surreal as feeling clean and finding everything else as clean and sanitized as towels. I would like to find an air refresher in enclosed areas as well as a toilet brush.

It’s insanely close to the beach! On the way there you’ll pass a market and a couple of sandwich shops. It’s really cheap and clean.

A communal refrigerator would be nice and a water fountain to fill bottles. A cooking area would be asking a lot but it’s an idea. They have this towel system where you only get one and if you want an extra it’s $5. Five bucks isn’t too bad but I wish you could just get another towel. However, they do provide a beach towel that you can trade.

Great location for the beach. Only a 5 min walk! There’s a supermarket just down the road that opened early until late and a 24 hr subway shop if you get hungry. Very close to bus stop which is very handy. Also make use of the free Miami Beach trolley loops from those stops too. The room was great and spacious! Beds were so comfortable. Very clean! Had a pool which looked alright. The bar was small but had lots of seating outside. There was also a club which we didn’t know about. The drinks are expensive though. One drink set me back $22! Would recommend for sure

We stayed in a private room, and while the building in all honesty is a bit dingy, the important things like bedsheets and towels were white and clean. Location is what made this place for us. Right by the beach, walking distance to many shops, restaurants etc., easy to uber/drive from if going further. We were initially worried about parking, but were able to buy overnight parking right next door for $17 at the reception which was great. Bar/poolside downstairs is cute!

Majority of the guests seemed to be teenagers on big organised group trips which interferes with the ”young adult” vibe we were hoping for, a minor thing. However based on other reviews this seems to be a consistent contract so maybe something to be aware of. If you’re booking solely with poolside lounging in mind be aware that the pool is not huge and was constantly very busy - great for a quick dip but not a resort pool day type setting.

The hostel was great for 4 people and it had enough space to sit in the room and chat. Beds were okay. Bathroom was okay. The lobby of the hotel and garden were great for chatting. The location of the hostel was close to the beach. You can go to South Beach by walking, it will take some time to go there but the coast line is great. And the room cleaning was great. In addition there is a 7/24 open subway near the hostel so it can be helpful for long times.

The lights near the beds were not working and the electric outlet near the beds are not holding the plug so it is hard to make the plug stable.

First of all, thank you so much to the manager, Alexandra, for her excellent work, her understanding and the way she accommodated us throughout our stays. It warms your heart to see people taking good care of you. The employees were very nice and the service was impeccable. Then I also liked the location of the hotel, very close to various amenities, a bus and a trolleybus are right in front of the hotel. The hotel has a driver service to pick you up from the airport, they offer towels for the flat or swimming pool, beach chairs, a parasol, bicycles for a period of 2 hours free of charge. We were a little skeptical, but ultimately it was a great find. Finally, the garden area with swimming pool was my favorite. The atmosphere in the evening was very pleasant and relaxing.

The room was less soundproofed. therefore, music from the next room was expected at late hours. It wasn't fun with a baby.

Friendly staff. Very clean and smelled good. We loved the vintage feel and cool decorations. AC worked great. Bed was comfortable (private room with king) Beautiful outside area. Great vibes. Clean pool. Street tacos and margaritas off the chart. Free towels umbrella & beach chairs. ATM in lobby. It’s a block away from the white sand clear water beach,a supermarket (beer n ice for the cooler) and a few restaurants. We felt safe here and loved the atmosphere. There’s no parking at the proper so We parked our car at Courtyard Marriott on 79th (found it on Cruiseparking.com) Uber was $20 and minutes away. Also $20 and a short drive to the cruise terminal. There is a free trolley but we didn’t use it. Check in and out is so easy. We will make this our go to in Miami.

Water pressure is so-so but it worked. A new shower head would help but it wasn’t a big deal.

Incredible staff & such a fun night!

There was a private event one night — which was fine, but the security guard was pretty rude when we were simply trying to walk through the party. He was skeptical of where we were staying (the guest house) so we had to walk through the event. I would suggest they just have a lesson on friendliness. Double checking our room & explaining the pool was closed is okay — but the rudeness left a sour taste in our mouths.
