Second time here and it's the most comfortable stay we've enjoyed within Noumea. It's a bit of a walk from the restaurants outside however, an easy stroll. Direct access to the beach through the pool Lots of pillows for a great night's rest

The food at L'escal which offers a takeaway menu after lunch and before dinner was very disappointing. We paid a lot for food that wasn't fresh and stale unfortunately. No available spots at the Spa, even though we were staying there for a full week. It's the second time I've visited and unfortunately keep missing my turn. My recommendation is if you're looking to book a spa session for a massage, book well in advance before you arrive to new caledonia.

Beautiful property with lovely gardens, great pool, bus stop out the front, access to a safe beach area with nets for sharks. The staff are really lovely and accommodated us with our noisy toddler very well. The restaurant was reasonably priced for the tourist area and the food was very good. Recommend adding breakfast daily as it’s much easier to eat at the hotel then explore the island. Rooms are well equipped with small kitchen so you can cook in if needed. We did with a small human some evenings.

The only big downfall was the wifi. Very hit and miss if you could connect to it. Worked better in the lobby, pool area and restaurant, next to impossible to connect in our room on the 5th level but we were there to relax so it was a good rest from IT.

The room was comfortable, clean and had a great view of the sea and the pool

The restaurant food was not very good. The hotel didn't offer any tour information or services.

The 2 bed apt was beautiful with fabulous views. Nice spa treatments. Quiet nights Monday to Wednesday. Lovely staff.

This is such a shame and out of the control of the hotel. 200 mts away on a jetty is a restaurant & bar. It plays VERY VERY heavy base loud music until 3:30 am Thu to Sunday. Impossible to sleep through .

This is a beautiful beachfront resort which is very high quality throughout. Our suite was modern, well-equipped, very clean and everything appeared to be almost new. Julie at the front desk was particularly helpful throughout our stay - Merci beaucoup! All the staff we encountered were generally friendly and helpful. As we had a rental car throughout our stay, the onsite free parking was an added bonus. We would highly recommend this lovely resort.

We were a little disappointed in the restaurant in terms of food quality and menu offerings, although the serving staff were very helpful. However, there are numerous other restaurants within walking distance which offer a wide range of choices.

The property is situated in a position that makes it easily accessible to the local shops (Le Promenade) and bus service for trips to local museums and the cultural centre. The staff were exceptional, the restaurants amazing and the view from the pool out over the beach and ocean exceptional. Rooms were large and felt modern and the staff were willing to help with any of your questions or needs.

No negatives and the only minor inconvenience was the lack of accessibility to the main footpath/sidewalk due to construction. There are gates I noticed that allowed easier access to Anse Vata but these were closed.

A great place to stay in Noumea. Sea views are fantastic and the pool right near the beach is a bonus. The semi private beach has a shark net and life guards so it is a pleasant spot to swim in the ocean. There are many restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk and if you are not a French speaker I would suggest trying to book as much as you can (in terms of activities and day trips) before you arrive as it is not so simple to organise on the ground. The staff at this hotel were fantastic and very helpful at all times. All in all this is a great hotel in a great location.

We travelled in April so a only the main restaurant was open and not the other hotel bars which would have been nice to try. Not a complaint just a call out for travellers outside of peak times.

Room with kitchenette facilities exactly as described... we were fortunate to get a room with a gorgeous view! Great service from the front of house team, who helped us organise airport transfers and other day trips.. and all round lovely group of people! Loved the seclusion... we initially booked the meridien but reviews on cleanliness and service levels put us off.. glad we made the decision to switch to Chateau. Highly recommend for famililes. We travelled in a group of 13 (4 families).

Music at night club near the pier was extremely loud meant we could hear very loud techno music into early morning. Also depends if room is facing in that direction... other friends who had rooms facing other directions did not hear it.

The hotel exceeded our expectations with its location, amenities and most importantly the staff. From the pool cleaner, and restaurant personnel to the housekeeping staff and the fantastic front desk staff always with a smile and a 'Bonjour'. They were all the most friendly and accommodating we have experienced in our world travels. Our family enjoyed a prestige two-bedroom unit that had modern decor detailed to a high standard and super clean. The room was oversized for a hotel and the kitchen was a great bonus. Views over the water from the two balconies watching the kite surfers and boats were mesmerising. Along with the most beautiful sunsets over the water, imaginable. The large beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were well-stocked with fluffy towels and the usual amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Breakfast had a good selection of French pastries and hot choices plus fresh fruit and meats. A massage at the spa is a must if you stay and the choice will astound you! The hotel is located in a quiet area but a convenient stroll along the oceanfront to restaurants and retailers. We would recommend the Chateau Royal to any traveller.
