The staff was very helpful, they managed to check us in earlier than we expected as our room was ready for our arrival. We had our window facing inner yard of the building but it reduced any noise from the street, so we would have our windows open during the night. For breakfast you are offered a menu of warm dishes that we mixed, removed or added ingredients, so there was plenty of flexibility offered.

We had slightly clogged sink, but we did not call the staff or left any note, so could not say that was a big inconvenience to us. The elevator was not working if someone would forget to close the door on their floor. We would just go 1 floor down and notice the door was not shut there, so we would take the elevator from this floow to the reception.

Staff were exceedingly helpful, polite and provided exceptional service. A good choice at the break buffet and additional hot food to order also available. Wonderful view of harbour from the restaurant. Bedrooms very comfortable and with all necessary facilities A reasonable walk to Gamla Stan (20 mins), and about same to Djurespark. We loved it.

Hotel didn't take cash at all. I understand why we might pay actual stay on card, but smaller ticket items eg a glass of wine, or tonic water from the mini bar - I would like to pay cash

This property is elegant, clean and efficient. The location is ideal, especially if you like to walk. All the big areas to see are easily walkable (with in 1 mile). It is also beautiful, quiet and comfortable. We splurged for a deluxe room with a view, and it does not disappoint. It was exactly what they showed in the website, not the old bait and switch, where they give you a room that you have to stick you head out the window and around the corner to see the view they promise. The breakfast was great too. Even though this hotel is only #21 on the trip advisor hotel ranking, it was fabulous. And less expensive than other higher ranked ones. It also had the old world charm that is hard to “create” in a newer property.

The coffee machine in the room looked fancy but when you made it, the water didn’t seem to get as hot as we like, but that was probably our fault. Some instructions would have been good.

The staff!!! Everything you want and need in a 5-star establishment. I had booked the deluxe sea view room, and specifically requested the one showed on the website because of the windows/balcony, as I was getting married and we were going to shoot. On check in, I was checked in to another room, which was not at all what I had envisioned. So on the morning of my wedding day, the staff (Murtaza and Henrik specifically) helped organizing a room change. They went above and beyond in correcting and turning around my experience, for which I am so grateful.

Being located on one of the most beautiful addresses of Stockholm has its perks, but be aware that the sea view rooms come with a whole lot of noise from the street.

A home away from home in the truest sense! My dog was as happy as I was. Staff are very friendly, always smiling and personal in their helpfulness to make you feel at home. The decor is classical, warm, intimate and fresh. Restaurant has a great selection of dishes based on local produce. And a good choice of Champagnes and wines to go with it.

The gym was ok, but ceiling was too low to raise weights above head. There could be more free weights too. At some of the tales close to windows, in the restaurant you can feel the cold from the outside. Valet parking was efficient but a bit pricey.

Booking .com is the worst online booking site in spite of being a genius level 3.i was overcharged by booking.com by SKR 2300 and I had documentary proof to confirm this. I couldn't reach them by phone.Tthey do not respond to emails either. Hotel diplomat wanted to help me but being a third party boking, they were helpless.. I would not use booking.com anymore.,

Excellent Hotel, great and kind service and certainly an great location - surrounded by all the hotspot of stockholm. It was a great stay I would recommend to everyone

Small details I would consider adapting: - no « free » water in room - excellent breakfast, only the bread isn’t very qualitative (regular bake off bread you van find in a supermarket) - missed « basic » bathroom necessities like cotton pads, ear sticks, tooth brush,..

Beautiful hotel with the best address in Stockholm. Very high quality throughout with friendly and professional staff. The hotel is very popular with locals so the restaurant and bar are always busy. We had breakfast in their coffee shop, lovely informal feel, great food and coffee.

The lift is small and with only one for the hotel, it maybe a problem if on the higher floors. We had a bedroom on the first floor so used the stairs.

Martaza a gentleman that i meet with at Hotel diplomat offer us a great room view of the Stockholm canal. And of cause the handsome boy that help my family with all the luggage is sweet and polite .

For the breakfast part , we don’t have enough service, first, there’s no usher to lead us to the table , second of all until the next day we found out that there is a free menu of omelette for guests to order, (reminder for myboo who want to stay here) the croissant wow so tasty!!!yumyum!!! I hope the hotel can improve that part beside that everything is great and the view is perfect.

Beautifully located near boat, train, and tram/bus transportation in a gorgeous part of Stockholm, one of the most splendid cities in the world. The Diplomat is also close to so many museums, shops, parks, and waterways. The staff speak English so well and are very solicitous without being intrusive. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious.

I liked everything about the property.
