Beautiful resort in Harbor Beach. We stayed in the executive king suite and it literally was an apartment without a stove! We had everything we needed and lots of coffee was provided. Small sink near microwave, utensils, cups and dishes. Bathroom was huge and very clean. Nice black granite countertops with a tub and a separate shower. Lots of hangers and an in-room safe. Furniture was a bit dated but nicely appointed and comfortable. Pool area very nice with lots of chairs that were comfortable with lots of palm trees and ample shade if desired. It was very clean and was not over clorinated. Adults only pool was very nice but since it was smaller you had to get there early to get a chair. Towels were always available and clean. They have a soda shop and your can purchase small sundries, coffee, etc. Bartenders at the pool bar were very nice and made excellent drinks and the prices were very reasonable. You can also eat lunch and dinner near the pool. Very good ahi poke with fried plantains!! Beautiful private beach and you can rent cabanas, chairs and umbrellas. It was nice that the resort fee is NOT charged unless you use those items. They have hammocks, ping pong tables, slides, swings, fooz ball table, shuffle board, tennis courts and a giant chess game. Very nice resort for families and couples alike. Spa is very nice and not overly pricey. Very good service, excellent value and a very nice resort. So glad we chose to stay at the Lago Mar. 15 minutes from airport so an easy ride share drive.

My only complaint was the bed. While the king was roomy it was too hard but that is a personal preference.

beach and pool were really great and very clean. Staff members, except for one or two, were amazing and put a lot of effort into helping us with our little one, and keep him entertained.

Rooms are nice, but construction is cheap. Walls are too thin and you can very easily hear other people which proved difficult when putting the baby to sleep. We made the decision to have all our meals at the hotel. I think that some things are overpriced. Example, cocktails are 12 dollars and smoothies are...12 dollars as well! How can it be that a non-alcoholic drink costs the same as one or two fruits with water? The main dining restaurant also feels a little expensive for the type of food they provide.

Me and my two teenage daughters had a wonderful time! The pool, the beautiful and clean beach, our view from the room towards the sea, the beach play zone, breakfast at the Soda shop (including funny chats with Fran&colleagues) - perfect. A special mention goes to Jerry at the reception: Not only being very welcoming and giving us a room upgrade (thanks!) due to lower season, but being really our guardian angel when we had a car breakdown miles away - he kindly stayed in touch with us, waited for hours in the hotline with our car company and organized a tow truck. Incredible!

Everything wonderful!

The resort and room were very clean. Every day you saw the workers cleaning. Pools were clean and the beach was really nice. The hotel is well kept but like other reviews stated the rooms are a bit dated, but I was okay with that since the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Kelly at the pool bar was very attentive and friendly. Jaime on the beach was very helpful.

Booking.com stated an ocean view room, and it was not. It was the side of the hotel where there was a dumpster. Not sure this is the resort's fault but that's the only reason this rating is not a 10. There was an employee providing pool service at the adult pool that never asked us if we needed anything, so we were thinking she was only providing pool service to members.

WOW- this was a beautiful resort that completely exceeded my expectations!! From the entrance and welcome from the staff, to the services provided- the spa, restaurants, staff, pool, location- everything was simply amazing! It was family friendly yet perfect for families without kids too! Wonderful location- right on the beach and the beach had ample seating and chairs to use (or rent if you chose to do so). And the location of the resort was perfect- nearby many restaurants and activities! The resort had so many options for activities- from the food, pools, extra activities like chess and putt-putt and hammocks, etc. it was just wonderful! And the food - WOW- very delicous and a great selection! Many great options and very reasonably priced! We can't wait to come back and plan on doing this again very soon! We LOVED it!!

Absolutely nothing-we LOVED everything about it!! There was nothing that we would have changed.

I was able to check in early. They upgraded my room to a suite. I received a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for me when I returned from supper with the family which had a happy birthday card attached. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating to my being alone. They took the time to talk and visit with me while dining. They gave me a Mimosa to start my birthday off. The front desk was great and I was shown to my room when I missed the elevator. The Spa was especially relaxing and I took advantage of the July specials for a facial. I highly recommend staying here and I will be returning.

The hotel was great.

The amasing location, almost on the beach, very good planed rest area, a lot of space at swimming-pool area, enough deckchairs, very green, enough shadow places. Deckchairs for the hotel guests also between bar area and the beach with view of the ocen. View of the port everglades entrance to see container ships und cruise ship - very nice attraction. The beach is very big, one can go hours along the beach in the Fort Lauderdale direction. Hotel decoration and style very nice. Very beautiful Iguanas and lizards to see in the rest area or on the roofs. Good breakfest buffet with pancakes, waffles benedict eggs or omelette to make.

Bathroom in rooms are old, need a renovation, not enough cleaned by the personal, also restrooms in swimming-pool area with not enough cleaning during the day, food in Aquarium restaurant very average, no restaurants in foot distance (for us no problem, we had a rent car), only 2 very, very slow elevators. No fresh vegetables by breakfest buffet (for example tomatoes, cucambers or pepper), the most often only salt butter The 2 chairs with umbrella on the beach cost 35$ per day

This was our second visit to the Lago Mar, albeit 18 years ago we were there the first time. We came back for the pleasant atmosphere and vibe and we were not dissappointed. Time is standing still when in the Lago Mar, relaxing around resort and beach. Sure, time has taken it's toll on the property, but in a good way. Everything is nicely kept in what could be the 1960's. Don't expect a minimalistic, modern hotel, but a charming Florida decor. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Surely we will be back.

Nothing really.

It was right by the beach. Nice pool and lots of cool games outdoors for kids. Suite was very spacious, kitchen was useful and they provided everything to cook. Room service washed dishes too.

Booked ocean front but was on the 3rd floor. You could go downstairs through the elevator but had to go around to get to the beach. They should have a way through the back that allows you to go straight to the beach instead of going all the way around. The rooms are too contemporary looking, they should make them more modern.

The resort was kid-friendly. It was nice to have everything right there from food to games, to the pool and beach. Everyone was friendly from staff to the other visitors. It reminded me of a little secret community.

The only thing I would recommend is that they invest some money into the upkeep of the mini golf course, shuffleboard area, upgrade the beach chairs.
