Super location, very clean well presented rooms. The Bed and linen was very comfortable . As a solo traveller I liked that there were key checks prior to entering the lift area making me feel very safe . The Hotel was very busy , yet all the staff I encountered had time for their guests and were very professional. As previous Front of House and Exec Housekeeper for Marriott I really notice how the staff interact with guests along with the cleanliness of the property. I’d have been really happy to have this Team back in the day . Job Very Well Done ….i will happily return here …Thank you

The hotel is very nice. Located very confidently to wall to most restaurants and local attractions. The valet parking was very convenient.

The yogurt on the little breakfast “bar” was expired. There is an event venue in the lobby area. The reception that was happening when we were there went till 11 pm with very loud music. If you want to go to sleep before 11 pm on a Saturday, do not stay here. One of the elevators was out of order, so we had to take our luggage up a small flight of stairs.

The room was decent size for our family of 3. The location is ideal for anyone wanting or needing to be in downtown Hartford. The morning breakfast room was quite cozy and situated on the ground floor at the corner of the building with street front windows. Such a prime spot is not your typical morning coffee location, but very much appreciated. The old (style?) leather couches and chairs were a nice added touch.

Given the historic building, I was kind of expecting a more interesting lobby area, but its quite basic. The morning coffee area helped make up for it a bit. The rooms were also rather ordinary, but I think we were staying in a room in a new extension part of the building.

It was a gorgeous historic building and very well kept up. We loved the complimentary robes in the closet and how clean the room was

There are no coffee pots in the room and the lobby only serves coffee until 11am. When I asked about the complimentary French Press that was available for the room, the front desk said they weren't sure how that worked. They said they'd get back to me but they never did. Sad that the hotel bar was closed on July 4th, but understandable

I like that everything was great, from customer service, cleanliness, and comfort. Every person that I encounter myself with is very friendly and polite. People who stood at The Goodwin were also very friendly.

I didn't like that it didn't have many options for breakfast. I think that a breakfast bar or something similar should be added to the hotel. It would be great if the rooms had a jacuzzi as well. I had a bad experience in parking on the side of the hotel, and I will do valet next time. Downtown Hartford didn't look as bad as what happened to my car. It's not a hotel issue, more of a city issue.

Room was beautiful. The round library area was lovely. Close to center city

No outlet at the mirrored dressing stand area, so can’t blow dry or curl your hair there - and too dim for makeup application, so kind of a waste of space and everyone needs to use the bathroom for this. Also, there was a sock in with the extra sheets for the sofa bed and no extra pillow. Housekeeping brought us new sheets right away but didn’t have pillows.

Property was spacious, clean and staff was very friendly. Bed very comfy.

No breakfast, no restaurants close-by for coffee! Keurig machines outdated and not hygienic. Needs hook in bathroom: huge bathroom and dressing room but no hook that makes sense. No main trashcan or small sink at front counter area. Weirdly noisy at night outside and empty in day (not hotel’s fault).

Arbon and Merima went out of their way to help us!! We had some teething issues with the rooms and Merima was sooo helpful! Arbon in the lobby was always around to help and guide us around! Hotel was very buzzing and its location is v central - walked around everywhere.

Toilet door in the rooms needs to be changed as it does not provide adeqate privacy!!

Mostly everything was great! I loved the bar and the ease of getting in and out of town. Loved the location.

The pillows were way too stiff. My neck was very painful. Had to come up with creative solutions for this. Was hoping for a window that looked anywhere but inside the lobby. Lights were left on out there and it made it way too bright to sleep if I didnt get the curtains JUST RIGHT!

I requested to check in early to prepare for my wedding. Not only did they accommodate that request, they even gave us a larger room to have space for the team to set up AND gave us a card and champagne. I could have cried from how kind everyone at the Goodwin was to us.

I had no issues with this hotel. They made my wedding day/stay home honeymoon so lovely
