We have read the 8.0 rating and was surprised as we are used to a decent Boscolo experience. After complaining about our first room, we got a new room with a bottle of Prosecco. Its a nice touch, but one would expect this to work on the first try at this level. Overall the 8.0 is a realistic rating.

The hotel is a bit outdated, first we got rooms outside (!) of the hotel in a gangway, with windows pointing to the gangway. Definitely nowhere near 5* experience. After complaining we got a room in the hotel, which is large and fine. Unfortunately the shower was broken, the minibar was not cooling, the king bed was 2 mattresses and overall some of the nearby 4* hotels look better at a lower price range.

We had an exceptional stay here at Boscolo Nice. The staff were wonderful, especially Melanie and Antony. Everyone went out of their way to help me with my young daughter. The food and drinks on the rooftop are delightful and general feeling and ambiance up top is sublime. I will definitely be revisiting, to be honest we didn’t want to leave! I will most definitely visit the other Boscolo in Lyon when I have the chance. Location of the hotel is fantastic, 10/15 minute walk to everything you need. Complimentary drinks in the mini bar daily which is a very nice touch. My only advice would be to get the tram to the hotel from the airport, it’s €10pp and around 13 stops, Line 2 - (blue) super easy. As apposed to a €45 taxi for the same journey time. Lots of Ubers in the area also, quick, kind and efficient. Finally the spa, really relaxing and nice facilities, we virtually had the place to ourselves. Excellent location, right in the heart of Nice and close to all the restaurants. The hotel staff is excellent, and it is without a doubt the nicest place I have ever worked. We had never been treated so wonderfully; champagne and a loving card were waiting for us when we got to room one (this was a special trip for me and my fiancé). What a wonderful experience working with Boscolo! Congrats to the entire staff.

I just had one complaint, and that was regarding the sauna. Wasn't working for repairs, however this is a little concern compared to the wonderful experience. Everything else was flawless, and they pay close attention to every little detail. I highly endorse your visit.

We loved : - the main decoration of the lobby and building, looks like an art gallery, all hotel in white color (withe walls, ground white marble, white fourniture) and stylish architecture is very relaxing - guys in the reception are very helpful and gives helpful advices - we got our room at 11h of the morning prior to official check-in time, which was very appreciated - large buffet breakfast is nice and available until 12h that is very helpful if you wanna wake up late. The best thing here is that bread and pastries (croissant) is cooked just in time, hot and tasty. - location, very close (400 m) to Massena walking street and promenade, just in front of metro station that bring you directly from the airport (very easy and practical) - shower with glass window is centrally located in the room, in front of bed and mirror (along with privacy curtains), which i really appreciated, that brings some fantasy for couples. - the bathroom and WC corner is well designed - rooftop outdoor swimming pool, a fancy place to stay in summer time - underground indoor swimming pool is also available

We mostly loved our staying, here are some points to improve - the sport fitness room is not as well designed as other parts in the hotel, too many old machines in a quite small room, not enough space, no windows ... better put in upper floors with larges views on city - free water bootle was not renewed in the room (we thought it will be daily renewed), i do not know if this was ablivion or hotel policy

There was a good choice at breakfast time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We loved the roof top pool area and deckchairs. The food in the evening at the restaurant on the roof was excellent.

The croissants and pasties at breakfast were not under covers and there were quite a few small flies around. Also a suggestion in the rooms a Nespresso machine would have been better than Nescafé sachets. Lastly there was no real hotel bar to have a drink in the evenings.

The staff were excellent, and the architecture and decor of the hotel was exceptional. We had breakfast included which was fantastic.

There is a rooftop bar which is lovely, along with a great pool. The DJ at night was often playing club bangers very very loudly, it was as if he was in an Ibiza club. It was so loud that we couldn't speak to each other, so we left. It did also keep us awake into the small hours one night. More chilled out pool vibes probably would have been more suitable for a luxury 5* hotel.

The hotel is very well located with the metro and shopping center at less than 5 min walking distance. I loved the Christmas decoration and the very “feel at home” it gave me. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a spectacular clean superior room with a huge bath and nice balcony. The bed was super comfortable. The design of the swimming pool was very nice. The food (dinner and breakfast), the service and the restaurant venue itself was amazing! The staff at the reception were very helpful and lovely. I will definitely come back and recommend this hotel!

The staff at the spa was not very welcoming. They did not offered me any towel and were not very helpful like if I was bothering them.

I loved the decor and the art- the size of the rooms and their quirky furniture. The breakfast was excellent - everything you needed and could have asked for, including a bit of bubbly. The reception, waiters/waitresses and bar staff were lovely. It was in the middle of everything shop wise and plenty of local restaurants - with a rooftop and indoor pool. Tram 2 to he airport is under the road outside which you could not hear - the tram carries on as far as the old port which has some nice restaurants too - 1.70 euros a journey. Location was between the station and the seafront.

Outside the breakfast, which was excellent: the rooftop pizzas were a bit bland, soft on the base and expensive and the restaurant was expensive, with portions a little small. The wine was pricey.

The property is in a great location, 10 minute walk from the main station and the tram stop is right outside. The staff are wonderful and so helpful. We had a bottle of Prosecco in the room from the hotel which was a lovely touch. Breakfast had so many options and the pastries were wonderful. There is a beautiful roof top pool and eating area and the spa is lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel and will def book again

i saw small details and finitions that are showing a high level of use and need refurbishing. like for example the sink in the restroom of the angelo restaurant. could use a fix of the placo. small dents here and there. the hot vs cold water ratio in the shower was not very good but with patience you get the right temperature.
