Rooms are spacious and clean. Facilities are also super clean. Location is great, right across the road from the old town and the harbour is one street behind with some cool old buildings. Wifi works great. Staff were lovely, especially the ones doing the fries on the Friday nights. Morning waffles and sauna are great too. Building is old but well soundproofed, street noise isn’t too bad either.
Only minor things, not problems but things that could be improved, in the private room I had the light switch was down the far end of the room and there is no lamp near the bed. Also, you have to leave your room key at the front desk every time you leave the building, and there isn’t always someone there when you come back as there was only one person working the desk each day.

* Ideal location close to old town and relatively close to harbour * clean bedrooms and very spacious * shared bathrooms and toilets were clean too and well maintained (renewal of toilet paper etc.) throughout our stay * luggage storage space before check-in and after check-out is possible due to 24-hour manned reception * 1 liter bowl of dough (approx. for around 16 waffles/8 ppl) is being made every morning by the receptionist for guests so that you can make yourself a waffle for breakfast, however you have to get up early to enjoy!
* shared toilets (we found 3 only) and bathrooms (we found 1 only) are limited on the 2nd floor for more than 10 rooms on that floor * if you stay on the upper floors, you have to climb down lots of stairs to get to the showers in the cellar. However, once there, there are plenty of showers (around 10) and toilets! * when going to the shared showers in the cellar, you have to pass the kitchen: in the morning, people are passing in pyjamas or with only a wrapped towel through the kitchen, where others have breakfast, so that might appear a bit funny or weird to some

Location, quite, big place for socialising, making waffles, kitchen. The receptionist put me together in a room with my friend. It would be nice if there was a map provided and some tips given regarding sightseeing. Didn't use the sauna it could be open during the day, not just for a few hours. It is not a party hostel but I liked it. Massive lockers and secure. Close to the ferries, old town. Safe.
Some toilets are separate from toilets with a sink. Had to go downstairs for bathrooms when it was busy. Could clean bathrooms more often. Fairy was finished. I needed it to wash dishes. I could hear people next wall, but it was grand

Very comfortable hostel in a wonderful, quiet location, close to the old town and right by the sea. The staff was helpful and professional. We could store our bags before check-in and after check-out. All of the shared facilities were clean and well maintained. Room itself was spacious, beds comfortable and we didn't hear any noises from the outside, which allowed us for a good night sleep. The windows had good darkening blinds. I can recommend this place without any hesitation, and I would certainly stay there again.
Wifi was not great, had some connectivity issues. This did not affect us, but keep in mind that there are no elevators and the kitchen and many shared facilities are underground.

This is the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed at - I was super impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms. I also really appreciated that the bunks and affiliated lockers were numbered and assigned - helped keep everything in order. The beds were comfortable and sturdy, so there was no squeaking in the middle of the night. The kitchen was also very well equipped to cook a proper meal, which was great. The seating area was also cozy and comfortable.
No toilets or showers on the first floor, so guests had to go down a flight to the basement. But this was a minor thing really.

Everything was great and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Fat Margaret's. Here's why: - They allowed me to leave my bags a day before check-in - I was upgraded from a single room to a twin room = more space - The room was clean - The sauna and pool were epic - Wifi was fast and worked well - The staff were friendly and helpful. They even let me borrow the vacuum cleaner for my vacuum compression bag! I couldn't have had a better stay here!
The only teeny tiny thing was they ran out of waffle batter when I was there so there weren't any waffles for breakfast. But everything else made up for it!

I stayed in a private room at the ground floor (109) - it was very small but sufficient. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom as well. There were thick curtains on the windows that made the room completely dark if needed. Although located on a main road, there was no disruptive noise. Can't comment on the common areas since a didn't visit those at all. The location was awesome - right outside the city center.
The windows were ripe for renovation - the room probably gets chilly during colder months. There is no closet in the room, just a small desk. There was a damp smell in the room i couldn't get rid of.

Sure, here is your text translated into English: --- Everything was just as described. We had no issues. The room was clean, and despite being on the top floor, the temperature was quite good. We did not experience any problems. Just as a suggestion, a cover could be added above the windows in case they are left open when it rains. I recommend this. It’s beneficial to go for breakfast early. We bought our own supplies from a nearby market and made our breakfast, but there are also cafes nearby. It’s very close to Old Town and Tallinn city center. We walked everywhere. We arrived at the hotel late after taking a ferry, but the transportation was very easy. We didn’t get tired at all. Thank you. --- Let me know if you need any further adjustments!

Lovely room, great location, amenities were very limited, you could only use the sauna and pool between 9-11am which is kinda annoying when you want to go out and explore on your short stay then chill in the evening. There was free waffles from 9-11 but limited amount so we went down at 10 most mornings for it to of all gone. The price was ok maybe a little overprice for a hostel and limited amenities. But room lovely building lovely and clean staff very rude and act like they can’t be bothered with you. Which is annoying as it’s a nice place to stay otherwise.
