A marvelous building. 100 points for that. Superfriendly staff, great location. The room had a fantastic shower and a good bed. Not too many extra's in the room but if you look at the whole picture, this is one one the best hotels you visited. You can park your bike in the church which is part of the hotel. If you like poodles this is a must visit.

Some more options in the room. A 2nd chair and a waterscooter perhaps

The room was clean, comfy and really beautiful, the location was ideal with EV charging available, reception staff were friendly, breakfast was exceptional!

Our room was downgraded due to unexplained 'technical issues' but we were refunded and the double room was superb anyway. A wedding meant we could not use the bar or restaurant and the noise went on until midnight, although we were emailed beforehand to warn us of this. Ear plugs would have been nice.

Great location, friendly welcome on arrival and all staff were pleasant. Short walk to the town centre, theatre and shopping centre. River just a minute walk from the hotel. Good sized room (109) with an excellent shower. Bar and Restaurant (ate breakfast only) exceptionally clean and well presented. Onsite parking available, and private parking to the the rear.

What a beautiful hotel! The rooms are all set up very well, are extremely comfortable and spacious. Breakfast provides a wide selection and compares very well to similar hotels across Europe. The restaurant is excellent and well worth visiting, especially for lunch and dinner! I would absolutely recommend making a reservation there. It is a beautiful space and the food and flavours are fantastic.

A common downside in many hotels in Germany, which unfortunately exists at the Renthof as well, is we did not have air-conditioning in the room whilst travelling in summer. Most of the time, it is not an issue with the mild temperatures in the region, but it does get a little uncomfortable on hot days in some rooms. It does not, in my opinion, reduce the the quality of the hotel at all, as this is a common aspect of hotels in Germany.

Really gorgeous hotel in a converted monastery. The best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this space for anyone who happens to be in Kassel.

Ultimately the room was very austere. No bathtub or toiletries either. I wasn't spending a great deal of time in my room, so it wasn't a disturbance to my stay overall. The other challenge was the lack of food options in the area, but that's not their fault I suppose!

The hotel is an old monastery perfectly located in Kassel. The rooms are very cozy and very well maintained. The restaurant offers very delicious food with high quality ingredients sourced locally.

In my room, I did not have any electrical plugs near my bed.

Rate parking just of excellent as room cost a lot would maybe think parking is part of it. Bathroom was lovely just could hear the other person using it 🤣. Although not an issue as was my wife. Breakfast was very good

Beautifully renovated building; a labor of love. Excellent taste. We were there in early January, probably not the best time to visit Kassel? But the hotel alone really was a highlight of the stop. Very good restaurant.

Small details in the room: poor lighting (what's up with the reading lights?), no sheers (so, can't open curtains because there are offices directly across), no temperature control...

Loved the old brick building - lots of character and charm. Room was large, quiet, very comfortable. Coffeemaker in the room was great.

Could have had better night tables and lighting. While the tables were decorative and stylish they were completely nonfunctional.

Centrally located. Secure garage for motorcycle. Lovely hotel. Restaurant was full so ate in bar area. Food was outstanding. Carbonara with plum crumble pudding. Just delicious & can see why there was not a spare table.
