Our room was a double bed which was a really good size with plenty of space to walk around in. There were long body mirrors which I liked. The room itself was very clean and tidy. It felt light and airy with no unpleasant smell present. The bed itself was very comfortable and clean. The sheets, pillows and towels were fresh too. I really liked that there was a fan inside of the room which was needed to keep us cool. The closet also had plenty of space to store our belongings which included a safe at the top also hangers etc.

So my only downside is the bathroom situation. At first glance I thought I was opening a closet door because of the interesting door design but upon opening it I discovered it was actually the bathroom. It was really tiny and it made it hard to move around inside without heating up fast and feeling claustrophobic. Also the sink was located outside of the bathroom which was a little bit awkward especially since to wash hands it would mean having to leave the bathroom.

This was my fourth stay at the OYO Devine Beach Hotel in Westcliff on Sea as the Other times that I've stayed there The hosts were very friendly and Polite if you needed anything all you have to do is ask. The room is a good size big enough for 1 or 2 people. The only let down for myself was the bed for me it was too soft but I know that's one it is impossible to do anything about. The Hotel is about 150yds from Westcliff Railway station, just down the road to the beech. It's a short walk to the Cliffs Pavilion. It's not far to walk into Southend or you take the train a two minute journey with C2C. If you're into walking there's a great walk along the Promenade from Leigh on sea right through to Shoeburyness as well as a long walk out to sea. Plenty for the kids to do, and plenty of good eateries for all tastes. I will be returning for the fifth time.

I loved the location, close both to the train station and to the embankment. Pleasant walking distance from the Cliffs Pavilion. My room was small, but clean and quiet, perfect for spending 1 night after the show. Everything worked fine. Thank you.

I had trouble finding the wifi information as I thought it should be in the room. It is because I was not attentive enough to see it on the corridor walls on the way to my room.

The man that was on shift went out his way to help me. He went above and beyond. Lovely guy.

The door number code to get in. I didn't feel safe as if anyone had the number they could get in. Also, remember a long code after having a drink. I ended up leaving my stuff in the car and left the door open so I could get in after I went out for a 50th birthday party. I would definitely stay again but hope for a room that has an key.

Tv, shower and complimentary tea and coffee.

The numeral check in on doors is a good idea but the noise coming from them is horrendous especially with drunk people putting wrong numbers in at 3am in the morning. It’s horrendous. There is very little noise reduction and can easily hear people in neighbouring rooms.

Location perfect for a concert up the road at the Cliffs Pavilion

Welcoming, though the keyless entry was a bit of a mission till you got used to it: be a worry for non tech or older folk Wash-hand basin tiny and no shelf in the bathroom for my washing stuff Kettle lead too short so had to put on the floor to boil

Great location and walking distance to a adventure island and pier. Very friendly and super helpful staff. Super clean, lovely carpet, comfy bed, lovely bed linen, superb bathroom with a shower cabin, toiletries provided, plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk and we have even kitchennette with microwave and fridge. We love our stay here.

Left to my own devices which was nice, room was pretty much what you would expect for the price. Quiet, slept well

Sheet and pillowcase were both stained. Room needed a good clean. Toilet was noisy and cistern was noisy all night. Bathroom door kept sticking. Could do with having WiFi codes in your room instead of being hidden downstairs

Bed very comfy. Think it was a memory foam mattress which is what I have. Very quiet, slept well. Staff friendly and helpful. Not far from railway station. Needs a bit of up dating but otherwise well maintained.

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and accommodating. RONNIE AND SYLVESTER greeted us on our arrival and were so warm and welcoming. The hotel is basic but nice and clean and just what we needed. The other lady, sorry I can't remember her name, was so nice too, offering to help me down the stairs with my luggage as I was wearing a medical boot. Would definitely stay again. The bed was so comfortable, nice hot shower, room temperature perfect. Hotel in a leafy street location with parking bays right outside the door. No breakfast facilities but only a 5-10 min slow walk to the beach and some lovely beach front cafes and restaurants. Ronnie and Syvester are on hand to provide advice and recommendations. Ronnie also booked a taxi for us which was no trouble. All the staff are am asset to this hotel. We would definitely visit again. Their friendly manner means a lot to me. I am not keen on large hotels where you are just a room number. Thank you guys for making our short stay special.
