The room and the whole place was spotlessly clean. All the staff were really nice and friendly. Car parking was free and convenient for the front door. The location is good. I'd just like to add that we left an item in our room (I've no idea how we missed it) and on contacting the hotel they are going to send it on to us and they have refused our offer to pay postage. Now that is customer service!!
Internet was pretty poor, but which hotel isn’t? We didn’t like the idea of the all you can eat buffet as we’re not big eaters. We went to the tavern and had one of their small plates which enough for us, as well as being very tasty

We loved everything. Absolutely amazing hotel.. Carnt wait to go again. The location was great, the staff were very friendly. The reception area was magical and the rooms was so clean and comfortable. Brilliant bed. The security was very good and very helpful people, made us feel safe.
I was a bit disappointed with the Knights tavern not being open.. And I wasn't told that I had to book a table for breakfast. And the nozzles on the shampoo and body wash bottles could do with being a bit longer. Struggled to get it on my sponge.. Just goes down the side of the bottles... But nothing major.

Room was very clean and ready earlier than normal check in, communicated via text to us. Plenty of parking and easy flat access to hotel. Great walking distance to town centre with plenty if bars and restaurants to choose from. Friendly staff at reception with lots of knowledge, very nice considering such a new hotel.
The rooms have no carpet, but laminate. This makes for quite a bit of noise, especially if you have a room with excited children in above you as we did. I would have hoped a Tuesday night in October outside school holidays would have allowed for guests to be spread across the hotel and reduce noise from neighbouring rooms. However, we were all in one wing and I got woken a second time at 1pm by above room. Not an ideal venue for people without children. Also no instructions on how to operate the heating/air con. Usually there’s a welcome pack in rooms, nothing here. Could do with putting up a coat rack in each room, so wet coats don’t drip in the wardrobe area please. Expensive bar we were charged £7.25 a pint for a session ipa.

The breakfast was ok not incredible but was still ok for the stay for this kind of hotel thats designed for tourists in volume, however if you get the chance to stay here enjoy it as much as i did, and for a work stay its not your average leading hotel change but certainly is up there with value for money compered to others. I mean who else has a Knight dressed up at the dinner table !!
I had a Burger and chips that was charged individually for each, which was fine, however the Burger for the price was not value for money in the respect of the meat patty being the same type you get on a burger van. i did mention this to the staff as i felt it right to let them know, if you charging that sort of price but most importantly making things authentic as possible at least throw in a proper meat burger especially at £8 just for the burger. this was the only negative

The decor and the cartoon wall displays in the rooms, in the shower and main hotel. The entrance was amazing with the horse and video characters on the walls. Self check in was fast and the staff were very helpful when we needed them. Breakfast was fantastic with so much variety to choose from. Once again the staff were very friendly. The hotel is designed with families in mind and is right next to the castle itself.
We only encountered a couple of problems. The curtain separating the kids bunk beds and our double bed was missing. We asked the staff and they informed us the curtains hadn't arrived in time for the hotel opening but they provided us with a huge bed sheet which we managed to tie to the rail which gave us privacy from the kids. The children's beds were a bit short for our 3 kids who are 11, 12 and 13 but they still managed to sleep.

The hotel was beautiful, clean and easy to get around. Breakfast was complimentary and the restaurant was stocked with all the breakfast foods, including foods for dietary needs ie. Vegan and Gluten free cornflakes. Bed was comfortable, lots of space for families we saw that there was 3 beds within the bunk bed area (pull out mattress) and a large baby fold out cot bed in a draw.
Cashless everywhere but one little gift shop next to castle/dungeons - not advised. No clear signs (this way etc) outside of the hotel so had to ask which direction to the Castle. The evening meal at the restaurant was overpriced. £25 per adult for 3 courses which sadly we didn't eat the majority of ( carvery style).

Clean, comfortable tent Great setting Bathroom/toilet facilities were very clean Great entertainment for the children Handy snack bar/ drinks
Bathrooms needed mops to stop floors getting so wet after showers- most campsites we have visited have these. Guests encouraged to use before next guest. Breakfast basket only gave us one voucher for hot option and as there were more of us staying in tent it seemed a little strange. We weren't directed through the hotel reception by staff when we arrived ( we were told to go round the back which was confusing) so we missed the schedule for the children's evening entertainment. Also we weren't able to register our car for free parking - we had to ask.

An excellent atmosphere in the accommodation and the communal areas of the Hotel, an added dimension to my stay being located in the Knights' Village - the wooden chalets in the grounds, accessed by raised wooden walkways from the main hotel.
Nothing - if you're looking for good quality accommodation in a great location, with the added fun of a themed historic atmosphere, it's highly recommended for leisure or for a fun business stay.

I really enjoyed my stay here! It felt a shame to be staying for work so that I couldn't fully enjoy everything it had to offer. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, the beds were comfortable and the food was delicious. I will absolutely be coming back here with my family as I think my little boy would love it!!
There is very little to criticise here! The only negative was that breakfast didn't start until 07:30am, which was tricky for me as I was heading out to work. Other than that though, everything was great.

Evening entertainment made the experience more complete for my son- even though he just watched. The glamping was simple but felt special in the theme. The loos and shower facilities were good. Was able to find drop off point for collecting bags when we left. Staff were friendly .
Difficult to find info- didn't know in advance when to arrive for entertainment. Didn't find out when the restaurant shut until it was too late. Didn't realise how far I'd need to lug my suitcase from car park or that there was a drop off point. The double bed was too firm for my comfort but single beds fine. Would have liked real juice for breakfast instead of what seemed like squash.
