Staff were lovely and helpful, even though we arrived late. The after hours check in was great. Also, the internal atrium gave a good sense of security, even if it was a bit of a walk to bring our bags in.

We had adjoining rooms, but a previous guest has lost the key to that door, so we were unable to move between rooms without going outside. Also, we had issues with the bathroom taps.

Friendly helpful staff at check in. Clean room, good bed. Interesting old heritage building and architecture. Quiet location but only a five minute walk to a major shopping centre, and the Bowls Club next door for meals. Excellent budget motel.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but no electrical point near bed. Also a continental breakfast was available at no extra cost.

The angry person in the next room who complained about me keeping the TV on at night even though I could hardly hear it.

The room was great, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was there if you required it. I didn't need it every morning but it was great to know it was there.

Easy access to parking right in front of my room. The room is quite spacious, and the bed was comfy.

What a great find in Taree! I love experiencing unique and quirky accommodation and I wasn't disappointed as it was exactly as described. Manager Sunny was welcoming and helpful and remembered my name when I saw him in the carpark the next day, letting me check out a little later which was much appreciated. The room was basic and small but immaculately clean, perfect for one and offered everything I needed - comfy bed, air-con, clean sheets and towels, fridge, tv and ensuite. Quiet location, only a few minutes walk to town. Will definitely return as I didn't get a chance to check out the dining and reception areas properly and from what other guests have said they're worth a look. Really enjoyed this charming heritage accommodation.

Was a great and safe place to stay for a solo female traveller. Clean and safe facilities with a comfy bed and private bathroom. The team made it super easy for me to check in late and texted me detailed instructions with photos for check in! The place was huge and had great facilties in the communal areas as well as the rooms. It's a shame I didn't spend more time there.

Absolutely nothing!

The whole place is a museum. It is an upgraded railway station. Very close to the town center and shopping malls. Next to the railway station, no noise. Next door to Bowling Club. Take-away meals nearby. The motel is extremely quiet after hours. The shower just blows you away. All the railway memorabilia is amazing. Staff great. Laundry facilities very good.

The outdoor area near the caboose wagon should be blown or swept down after mowing plus the roof drainage pipes should be directed over the lawns, not near the outside table and washing lines. Outside table area could be better protected from the elements and the furniture improved upon.

Extremely interesting motel - history & collectables just amazing- nice to stay in something very different to the norm. Very helpful managers went out of their way. Quiet location & close to clubs & shops.
