B&B Le Cercle De Malines represents excellent value for money. We were very impressed with the owner who was friendly and professional and also very patient with those of us in the group who did not speak French. The owner also served breakfast and was again very friendly. The room we were given was clean, well presented and comfortable.

The taps in the bathroom weren't properly attached to the spindles and this meant the only way to use the taps in the sink was to take them off. The toilet cistern filled very slowly, which for a family of four isn't good. Breakfast choices were rather limited, but what was on offer was of a good standard.

Breakfast was superb , eating with all the guests at a big table just off the kitchen. The pastries were outstanding and my 11 yr old ate 4 of the largest croissants Ive ever seen! The room was spotless and beautifully appointed. The building has loads of classic french charm and features. Stephanie was incredibly helpful and speaks excellent English. She managed top help us get a cab when the navette from the port has stopped running!

This was our third visit to Le Cercle and it did not disappoint. Our friendly host was marvellous - kind and very helpful with better English than my French! We were welcomed on arrival and shown to very clean rooms, furnished in a funky style which we appreciated. A local restaurant was identified for us and a reservation made plus transport to get us there. A map and link to a local taxi firm completed the evening. A super continental breakfast was available in the dining room of this historic house. Take a look at the outstanding ceiling in the sitting room! A brilliant experience and we hope to visit again. Thank you.

There was nothing not to like!

The host was very helpful (particularly with regard to the parking). The house was really full of character, beautifully maintained and the garden was charming . Our room was just what was needed for an overnight stay, clean, convenient for the ferry and in easy walking distance to the town. Breakfast was lovely.

The Room was Clean. Host was friendly and helpful. Big Bathroom with the Toilet. Parking is also free and easy to find.

The locks of the doors are very old and without key they dont lock. Also the lock from the door of bathroom was complete broken. We had a problem beacause of the kids. They open the door every time because the lock was broken and we cannot lock even from inside.

A hidden gem in Calais. Staying there showed us a part of Calais that we've never seen before. A beautiful house, lovely host, excellent value for money. I would definitely return!

Not keen on the 'open shower' .....wet feet on return to loo despite the bath mat. Would have enjoyed either an egg or ham with the breakfast, not keeen on a sweet breakfast.

Very friendly host who provided a map of restaurants and petrol stations for me. Nice B&B. Super breakfast of breads and jams. Very comfortable bed. Decent shower. Parking outside premises was available. View from room over rooftops was ok. Decent value for money. 15-20 minutes to the Eurotunnel.

Whilst B&B was nice, the location it was in was a bit run down; I felt I need to bring everything from the car into the room. Host asked for payment in cash or cheque which I wasn't expecting...not a problem for me, but may be for some. Room was quite small, but ok for one night.

Nice simple room, modern decor in an old house. Comfortable, quiet, we parked easily. Beautiful bedding and large comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely, the owner provided a really good spread. I was particularly impressed with greengages and plums in the fresh fruit selection (not a common thing I would imagine, certainly not in big hotels), and choices of bread and local cheeses. I’m on a “no processed food” lifestyle and it suited me extremely well (there were croissants, and home-made jam, fear not!)

Historic, spacious, charming and central. Fully renovated with superb bathroom and extra large bed. We loved the delicious French breakfast in the owner’s beautiful dining room which looked out onto a private garden . The owner was charming and very welcoming.

Nothing. It was perfect.
