WOW... Where do I start???? It was amazing. I had booked this stay to propose to my girlfriend. I informed the hotel of my intentions, and they helped out so much and made this a magical stay. The rooms were stunning and so clean, the food was unreal and drinks. I have stayed in many 5 star resorts, and the staff at aghadoe heights where so good they made us feel so welcomed and made sure we were taken care of. Martin, the bar guy, was a top bloke his story was amazing, and his signature cocktails were unforgettable he's a real asset to the hotel. I will definitely be booking again!!! I like everything about this property. From the beginning to the end. Welcoming and very friend , especially staff especially Maria. It was my birthday the day we arrived and Maria gave us an upgraded room, very fancy and comfortable and big size, which was a nice touch. Our suitcases were brought to our room by a very friendly Porter. The dinner was a fantastic atmosphere in cozy restaurant and very friendly staff (Haydee and Ayon). Food was to die for and excellent service with a good manners. Haydee brought a little birthday surprise too, it was very nice of her. Next day spa and massage experience by two Anna’s. A fantastic service. The last day before our departure and long journey back home to Wexford we went to get a coffee and scone and we got such an excellent service by Maura. That Lady knows the excellence and professionalism in hospitality, how to treat guests well . She made our day. My summary will be excellent job everyone. I will start saving money for the next trip to Aghadoe. See you soon.

Small touches only, some of the bulbs in our room, also spa, (steam room) did not work. I used to work in hospitality, so I can see small things. One of the rooms in the spa ( aroma room) was not working, was cold and unpleasant. The receptionist Andrea said they are all working, a bit disappointment but overall all the three rooms we went to were great experience. Don’t feel bad after these comment, I am very fussy about do it right or don’t do it if you don’t want it. In 5-star hotel staff must see bulbs that don’t work and not working spa room .

The attention to details here is amazing. I think the staff at the hotel understand that it is the little things that make up great experience. A special greeting card in the room with a treat, chocolates on the pillows, bath salts - these small things add up. Breakfast was amazing and the room was awesome. Other small things I've seen in the past that this hotel can add is refreshments on arrival or even condoms in the room. Overall, we loved our time at the hotel.

I'm a gym goer and the gym in the hotel is not great. There is plenty of cardio which is nice but very little equipment if you want to lift. Other than that there is really nothing to complain about.

Splendid view from the front, though partly marred by the road. Helpful and responsive staff, especially at Front Desk. The Concierge provides free rides into town.

My room was spacious but badly-designed. Light switches control unrelated lights, with no way to turn the unwanted ones off. Bathroom exhaust turns on by itself. There is really only one restaurant, a large area with dividers. Between the two supposed restaurants, there are still very limited food choices and little difference in decor. Except for breakfast, most of the dishes I had were just pub quality — mushy batter-fried fish, mushy fries, mediocre steak with no marbling, unrecognizable Caesar salad.

Staff were very friendly, very helpful and could not fault them. Views from our room were fabulous, Spa was very nice also. Didn't book a treatment as they were booked out but we had access to Thermal Suite which was nice. The courtesy bus was very handy, dropped us into Killarney for a few drinks, Brendan, the driver was very friendly.

Food portions were small in Heights Lounge Restaurant, very nice food, but we were still hungry after main meal. Disappointed with the breakfast also, I got full Irish, with scrambled egg, very bland and a couple of items on the plate were tough to eat, and not really what I was expecting from a 5 star.

Gorgeous hotel. The view was spectacular in the room, lakes and mountains were fab. The room was lovely and cosy. Enjoyed the large balcony. The staff were attentive and when we went for our meal, the room had been touched up, this was a lovely touch. They had lovely welcome treats on arrival such.as mini muffins and punch. The restaurant was nice and had a lovely view. The location was very good., five minute drive from Killarney and a 2 minute walk to the lakes viewing point.

The breakfast we paid extra for in the room, was poor, as we did not get a lot of what we ordered

Front desk reception staff were amazing helpful and knowledgeable a real asset to the hotel as first impressions do matter and make a huge difference to your experience of a hotel

Breakfast was a disaster on our 2nd morning 45 minute wait for our breakfast then my daughter who is vegetarian and had requested a vegetarian breakfast had black and white pudding on her plate... we spoke to hotel manager and were reimbursed as a result and assured us this was a one off and wouldn't happen again. I feel the restaurant let's the hotel down and is simply not up to a 5 star standard with attention to detail and some staff not interested in their job. Having to repeatedly ask for another coffee and tea 4 times !!! is simply unacceptable for a hotel that is charging the prices they are. And of their 5 star rating. Having to complain first thing in the morning sets a tone for the rest of your day and is an unnecessary irritation.

The staff were very friendly, our room was large and comfortable,very impressed by the shuttle service into the town,ate in lounge restaurant and the food was lovely, nice relaxing atmosphere .

For a 5 star hotel and the cost of our stay I was expecting more from the pool and spa area, I have stayed in 4 star accommodation with nicer views from the thermal area and the swimming pool was very small,would have loved to have seen an outdoor heated pool or hot tubes outside especially considering the lovely view they have there,that was the only fault I had with the hotel.

The staff were all fantastic. The people who cleaned the rooms were outstanding. Nothing was a problem. The food was exceptional. The breakfast was outstanding, and what a variety to choose from. Overall, ẁe had a fabulous stay. Would recommend it for a special occasion

The hotel is overpriced, in my opinion. You would see the hotel full to capacity all year around if it was reasonably priced. Everyone I spoke to about the hotel knew it but could never afford to stay in it. Everyone deserves to stay in a hotel like this Also, there are not enough towels in the swimming pool 🏊‍♀️ to cater to all the swimmers but to be fair, this is a minor detail.

The View from the room was exceptional and just what I expected although we were on the side of the building that slightly overlooks a graveyard which my wife was concerned about. Staff were great and extremely helpful and even had a hotel car to make small trips if available (e.g to the train station when departing) overall very good stay and experience with Aghadoe

Only minor concern was the partial overlooking of the graveyard but we were situated in a room at the far left of the building if looking out of the room so not all rooms will have this.
