Helpful and friendly staff, comfortable bed and pillows, quiet and dark for sleeping and a nice temperature. The evening meal was excellent, the waiting staff knowledgeable re the menu and suggested suitable wines to accompany our choice. Our dog was allowed in the restaurant with us - we were thoughtfully placed in a quiet corner so the dog wasn’t disturbed, and we wouldn’t disturb anyone else. Thoughtful touches included dog bowls in our room and umbrellas for us to borrow (it was torrential rain when we arrived).
It was a little dark in our room (ambient lighting) and the shower went everywhere in the wet room - but these are such minor points

The restaurant. Where do I begin? The food was breath taking in terms of its concept, taste and presentation (we chose the chef's 7 course menu). The originality of the dishes (created by the chef) helped make this a meal to remember. They were all classical French in spirit but with a good helping of Asian influence. I have eaten at many Michelin 3* restaurants in France and I have to say that only Ducasse in Monaco and Troisgros in Roanne have been better than here, and not by very much. . The chef has only been in residence since February - he worked at some of Paris' better restaurants prior to coming here - but he is clearly determined to make a mark and gain multiple stars. He'll certainly achieve that if he continues to cook like this. The front of house staff were friendly (!) and knowledgeable. Service was exemplary. My friend had never been to a serious gourmet restaurant before but the waiters went out of their way to make him feel at ease. At the end of the meal the chef appeared and visited the tables. This is usual at gastronomic restaurants BUT what was different here was that he was modest, friendly and happy to chat about the dishes, what was good, and what could be improved (very little, to be fair) despite the fact that I am English! The menu cost 145 euros, but once you've added a cheese plate, coffee, mineral water etc. nearer 200 euros - well worth it. The staff were superb - friendly, helpful and pro-active. One lady at reception gave up an hour of her time to help me report an unfortunate theft that occurred on the Autoroute - she even telephoned 4 different police stations and gendarmeries to make sure that they would have an English speaking officer available when I went. They upgraded one of our rooms without charging extra (!) as the room originally booked had been on a high floor and one of our Basset Hounds is very old and struggles with stairs.
Breakfast was a little disappointing after the magnificent dinner (but breakfast was prepared by a separate team to the gourmet chef) . We arrived at 9am (breakfast was from 7-10) to find only one croissant left, not much bread, and a number of other items had been run down and not replenished.

Escape from the stressful cities to a charming French village? This was the gem I was looking for. No buzzing cars, no background noise—just the soothing sounds of nature. At night, an owl chatters from its perch in the tree, and in the morning, you're greeted by dragonflies zooming by. From the first look at the property, everything shows great attention to detail, from the tasteful vintage decorations to the immaculate cleanliness (inside the rooms, it's a 10/10; outside, it’s a bit more lived-in, which adds character and avoids the sterile feel of a designer hotel). There are plenty of spots to sit and relax, including a swimming lane, a larger pool, a spacious spa that can be reserved privately, and a roomy terrace, all just a short walk away. It has very romantic vibes but is also perfect for those who want to disconnect and read or write a book. After touring the room and the grounds of the hotel, another delightful surprise awaited. The restaurant offers a fine dining experience with an expertly crafted 7-course discovery menu called "Emotions," beautifully paired with their selection of wines. The dedication of Chef Maxime Lesobre and Chef Saé Haségawa to their craft was palpable in every course served. Having read the outdated Michelin Guide review afterwards, I felt it didn’t do justice to the symphony of flavors they managed to unleash. As for value for money, there’s no question—it exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the experience, go for it. Finally, a special mention goes to the spa, which offers a genuine spa experience with a well-rounded selection of treatments and massages. It reflects the same dedication to quality and cozy atmosphere as the rest of the property. My only regret is not having had more time to fully indulge in everything they offer.

Delightful place - Great as a stopping point if you're en route to Italy or a road trip that way. It's a terrific reward if you leave Mont Blanc and are heading back to the UK - You can reach the place for a 3pm check in and enjoy the spa and book dinner in a glorious restaurant with fine wines and the very best cheeses the region has to offer (And no, British cheese doesn't come close to French cheese, nor does the cuisine or the respect for food in general, despite the noble efforts). Leaves you with a 4 hour drive to Calais, albeit with a huge smile and gratification that you've had the very best of cuisine

Dinner was great with excellent service and terrific cuisine. Our room was very comfortable and spacious and in character with the this old but well maintained house. Chateau is in a rural location and would be a good base to explore the local countryside the next time we visit the area.

Helpful staff on arrival, easy to park, large room (we were up a lot of stairs and there is no lift so bear that in mind when choosing your room, we knew we were in for a work out!). There are 2 pools and nice areas to relax around them. No bar as such but you can order drinks to the pool and other areas. We ate at the restaurant which was amazing despite having had a changeover of chef not too long ago. Simply stunning food and it was so nice to have the appetisers in the courtyard with a drink before we went in for dinner. Nothing to do in the village but we had a walk around it and it is pretty. This is a place to relax and enjoy your surroundings and eat.
It is strange to have fake grass carpet in places such as on steps. And although some outside areas were well tended others need attention. The large pond in the centre courtyard for example was dirty and neglected. It should be clear with nice goldfish and plants as it didn't make for a nice view on arrival. Hopefully that has been dealt with now.

We had two rooms, we booked a classic room initially which was okay, but a little on the small side, and then decided to stay an additional night and had to upgrade to a superior room, which was very spacious and much smarter than the first. The rooms were very clean, the staff were lovely, and couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming, both nights we had diner in the restaurant which was amazing, and the breakfast was lovely. This Is a great property I would recommend it to anyone.
Two things could have been improved, the towels in the second room were grey and worn, not lovely white fluffy towels that I would expect from a property of this level. The outside seating area would benefited from some attention, the glass topped tables needed cleaning, seat cushions were marked which is a little off putting, and the decking needed cleaning. At breakfast there was also litter on the floor near one seating area, and dead plants in pots at the entrance of the spa, in general it just needs some attention, as it gives a bad impression and doesn't reflet the standard of the inside of the property. I hope my observation helps, as intended.

Lovely, spacious room, great breakfast and outstanding restaurant. Staff was very friendly and I particularly appreciated the pool dedicated to swimming (there are two outside pools).
Shame the evening meals are inside, even during the season which would allow people to sit on the terrasse. Be aware that the possibilities for shopping and dining out in the region are few and far between. So book a table in the restaurant.

Hotel was exceptional a chateau in the old style where bedrooms were all different very quaint with bold patterns and a wonderful staircase. The dining room was in a separate building, very plush with large chandeliers white table cloths. There was a choose of 3 menus we opted for the second a five course but with all the pre and in between nibbles we had possibly 12 in total. Great pool wonderful experience well worth a visit. Also great breakfast.

We stayed here as part of a week-long trip across France staying at a number of similar "chateau" hotels. Our stay here was good but was in some ways the least satisfactory of our visits (see below). I would describe the style of the hotel as "faded chic". Our bed was very comfortable and the hotel leisure facilities are good - there are two excellent outdoor pools which we were unfortunately unable to use as a result of the bad weather. The restaurant is excellent (and correspondingly expensive) and has a deserved reputation for the quality of its food.
Our room was cold and we never managed to get the heated air conditioning to work properly. The guest wifi was very weak and generally didn't work at all in our room. The hotel kindly allowed us access to the staff wifi but this should be an easy issue to fix in a hotel of this standard in 2023. The menu in the restaurant is lovely but there is no flexibility to depart from three set menus - all fine for one night's culinary experience but a bit heavy to tackle in full over two successive nights.
