The new self catering villas at Polurrian are outstanding. Very well designed and fitted. A fabulous combination of independence and use of the hotel facilities. The views and cocktails are outstanding. And the breakfast and lunchtime food was excellent.

The hotel is still in transition from previous ownership, and there was building work ongoing. But it shows signs of being outstanding once completed. Our evening meal in the restaurant was marred by somewhat amateur and chaotic service - young folk learning the ropes, for which we made allowances, but still the prices are not cheap, so a little more effort would have been nice.

The views and gardens around the hotel also outdoor pool and indoor everything was nice

Our room was not the room I asked in hotel no handle to open door or close , very creaky unlevel floor with steps to bathroom , we phoned 4 times and asked for a full front view room which was promised on phone but was given a room which I could bearly move in very small , I needed everything at ease as I drive a lot and my arms are stiff , I’m a realist and the hotel is lovely but my room I would never want to stay in also it a side water view and you keep struggling to see more but not possible but I would stay here again in a bigger room and full view and there are lovely walks to beach and a tennis court and a nice scenic route to mullion cove , im just being honest and say you’ll see when you go there .

We had a simply lovely time at the Polurrian and wished we were staying longer. The view from our room was gorgeous, access to the coastal path was easy, breakfast was delicious, and staff were all very helpful. It did feel like an old holiday hotel, and that was restful.

Parking was a bit tricky, as the restaurant is popular and when we arrived there was nearly no parking available. We did find some at last, though it did require climbing, with our luggage, up and down a steep hill. Not the end of the world! But signs would have been helpful, or perhaps reserved spots for overnight guests.

To be fair we booked last minute as the price was below what we had budgeted and within the proximity. Well how surprised were we to arrive at a stunning back drop of cliffs/private beach/mature gardens and a stunning sunset ( that isn’t a guarantee I’m sure). Lovely welcome after being shown to our room followed by beautiful cocktails made by the young barman. A large whurlitzer sat next to us and our dog as we listened to classic records sipping cocktails watching the sunset. Did I mention they have an open air pool over looking the private beach which we strolled down too with our dog to let the dinner go down. AAll I can hope is with the refurbishments planned for the future we will be able to afford another stay in the future. 😜 Lao the beds were so comfy we didn’t wake until the alarm went off for our beautiful breakfast over looking the bay.

Nothing at all

We love it here, the staff are so attentive and friendly (especially Ben :0)) and they really look after you. The rooms are clean and comfortable and serviced daily. The views from the Vista are superb! We take our dog and he’s treated really well and not made to feel like he shouldn’t be there. The whole feel of the hotel is contemporary luxury. Love it!

The blinds in our room kept clunking on the window frame when it was open and it sounded like someone was dropping wooden broom handles. This could be rectified by having blinds on runners or being able to secure the blind once pulled down In position.

THE VIEWS, the coastal walking, the staff, the other guests (and dogs) were all were amazing. We had a fantastic 2 night break with sunshine. Surprisingly, Mullion is quite flat so not bad for walking to the bus-stop (or pub for example) if slightly impaired walking. We walked 2.5 hours to Porthlevan on the coast and caught the bus back - very exciting journey (glad to be alive!) but what fun.

If you are a fault finder I'm sure you could find some things to improve. A building like the Polurrian, next to the sea takes a massive amount of upkeep but we thought they were doing a great job.

Very good location, nice hotel , very friendly staff and excellent views from the hotel .

The only thing that lets this hotel down is the food . Breakfast took 50 minutes to arrive and was cold . Bacon was like plastic , scrambled egg was terrible . The restaurant menu needs to include some traditional recipes and not just a la cart. The bar menu isn’t much better either . Had to find food elsewhere .

amazing location, our view from our room was right near the cliff and stuning views of the beach and atlantic. Lovely room very cosy at the top of the hotel. Amazing breakfast with an equally amazing view, Do I eat or do stare at the sea? Staff were realy friendly and helpful. A really good two day break for a 35 wedding anniversary, The wife was happy so I was happy too (perfect). Oh yes loved the spar, the pool was smashing so was the Jacccuzi.

Going home, I would still be glued to the window if i could. I cant think of anything which didnt meet my expectations, have recommended this hotel to my friends. You did great.

Stunning location. Staff were so helpful & friendly. They gave us a free meal on the first night as the room didn’t meet our expectations on arrival, as the third bed was too small & squeezed in the gap between the bed & wall. So the second day they upgraded us & gave us the adjoining room too! Great hotel, we had a wonderful holiday & will definitely be going again! Thank you.

Outdoor pool could have opened earlier.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Big rooms for family with great views. The staff are very polite and helpful. Indoor swimming pool and good breakfast. The bar serves good range of drinks. Private beach a few minutes walk away. I would recommend everyone to visit.

When first arrived at the location there was a mild damp smell in the room although the room was very clean. That disappeared after the windows were open. Maybe needs a little refreshing of the interior generally. We did not dislike the interior at all to make it clear. Please regularly clean the beautiful private beach (lot of seaweeds).
