A decent breakfast, price charged only for adults, free for children. The location was perfect. The staff was nice, fluent in English and open to communication. The room was in decent size and comfy. Overall clean. The whole building is secure. If you plan to spend a couple of days at Old Town Lyon, this place is definitely a good option.

The decoration of the room could be better, given the price. Still, it wasn't disturbing. The place that they serve breakfast was a little bit crowded.

It’s a great location. Close to the tram (12min to Gare Part Dieu). But you can easily walk (20min). There is also a bus rue Mazenod to reach Parc de la tête d’or. The Presqu’île is within reach: walking 10-15min to rue de la République for shopping and an extra 10min to vieux Lyon. The hotel is therefore very well located. The executive rooms are large and confort. (Bath robes-sleepers-coffee machine). It’s clean. The hotel is quiet and calm. Breakfast is good quality compared to cost. If you prefer a higher end alternative go to Sofitel (it’s perfect) and if you want cheaper, there is a small supermarket 5minutes walk away.

I would have liked a room with a view because the hotel is located close to the river with sweeping views of Lyon.

This property was fantastic! The location is excellent everything you need is in walking distance. The facilities are up dated, clean and well maintained. But the true gem- the STAFF! Camelot was exceptional. But every single employee we met was professional, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure your needs were met. I am pretty high maintenance and didn’t know what I was going to get when I booked this hotel for the Taylor Swift Concert - but if all Best Westerns are this good - I may be switching from five star hotels!

We were very lucky as we got a free upgrade to a Junior Suite which was lovely. We had the best views from the hotel and could see the Rhone river, Hotel Dieu and the Basilica at the top of the hill (both looked great at night all lit up). Staff were exceptional, especially the concierge staff. We must mention Julien, Thomas and Lucas who were exceptional and were always there to serve our needs and provide invaluable information about the city. We must also mention Camilla who we spoke to on the telephone before our visit when organising our stay and she was extremely helpful and lovely on the telephone. We can't thank you all enough for making our stay in Lyon memorable. We would definitely use your hotel again and recommend to anyone going to the city.

Fridge/minibar was very small and not very cold even when turned up to maximum (though we did appreciate the ice from the concierges - thank you). No table on the balcony next to the two chairs. Bathroom and bedroom were a bit dark at night, could do with more lighting. The shower was great except no door so the floor in the bathroom got wet whenever we had a shower.

Fantastic location. Right next to the Rhone and close to the old town. Weekend mornings there is a small fruit and vegetable market across the road. Big bedrooms with huge comfortable beds (superior double). Reception staff super helpful and friendly. We left out car in the underground garage for extra time at no cost. Lyon is such a great city- will be back!

We didn’t have breakfast and are glad we didn’t pay the extra as didn’t look very interesting or inviting! Couldn’t find a way to turn of the light in the small entrance hall to the room Other than that it was great!

A typical Best Western, clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed a small balcony, with a slice of view across to the old town. Nice to have a decent shower and a big bed after a couple of weeks of smaller, historic properties. Even an iron and board, badly needed after 2 weeks of suitcase living. Breakfast was fine, staff were friendly, we could walk across the bridge to the old town.

The staff member who assisted us upon arrival was helpful and she provided suggestions on sights and restaurants to visit. The room was clean and basic. The location was really close to a tram stop and everywhere was within walking distance which we loved.

The other staff members could be more attentive and hospitable to their guests. The environment lacked warmth.

Location was my first priority as it is 100 m from the Liberte stop on Tram 1 so that getting from Gare de Lyon was a 1.90e ticket. getting on the tram due to building work was not fun. Hotel close to two bridges across the Rhone . it is in a nicely quiet and walkable area. Staff were uniformly obliging and pleasant and no request was too much. After some weeks of hotels with no it poorly working air conditioning the joy of cool air was overwhelming . and it had big opening windows. The room was of a high standard . Just around the corner in Rue Mazenod is Les Assembleurs wine bar restaurant. it is so good and reasonably priced with about 15 wines on tap that we went four times. It is that good.

We were upgraded to a suite, which wasn't expected, but it was a pleasant surprise. We had a terrace that overlooked the river and the Notre Dame. Convenient, quiet location. We would definitely book again.

Our AC leaked water onto the floor and carpet by the bathroom. It didn't bother us that much and luckily we had a few breezy cool evenings where we could open the balcony doors and the windows.

The stuff is exceptional! They were so kind and helpful. The location is fantastic! The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. There’s a parking available. The hotel stuff were our favorite part visiting Lyon. Always gave us the best recommendations for food and sightseeing . We also had some unexpected problems and the stuff helped us beyond expectations! Thank you! Don’t hesitate to book your staying here!
