Stunning period property maintained to a very high standard. Set in tranquil surroundings with lovely gardens. Beautifully presented and extremely comfortable throughout. Room was just perfect, very spacious with super comfy bed with views out onto the surrounding gardens and countryside from the lovely large bay window. Stunning bathroom with walk-in shower, free standing roll top bath and just the nicest smelling complimentary toiletries! Afternoon tea on arrival in the drawing room was a really nice added touch and breakfast the next morning was just delicious. Melanie and John definitely go above and beyond to ensure your stay is an extra special one. Would love to stay again and highly recommend. You will not be disappointed 🌟

Absolutely nothing not to like - other than we didn’t stay longer!

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Peaceful and quiet. Our room was large and very comfortable with a wonderful view. Using the original shutters at night kept the room dark even during the sort nights of a Scottish summer.

It’s a B&B so there is no dinner in the evening. There are small towns just a few miles away with good but limited dining options.

Simply stunning property in an amazing quiet location. Our suite was beautiful, spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything we needed with the most comfortable bed. We slept like the dead and woke up to a fabulous breakfast. Our host Melanie couldn't have made us feel more welcome - can't wait for an opportunity to go back and will stay longer next time.

We were given a lovely warm welcome at this beautiful country house. Very quiet and peaceful with wonderful views over the river and grounds.The room was extremely comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was exceptional. The property does not do evening food but there are places to eat within an easy walk. The owners even offered us a lift into Town. Nothing was too much trouble. Ideal place to stop off for a few days and relax.

The home made scones and jam on arrival were wonderful especially the treacle scones and rhubarb and ginger jam. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and delicious and there was a wonderful range of breakfast dishes to choose from. I had the full Scottish on the first day and creamy porridge with pears and cinnamon on the second. All this with wonderful views of the valley and feeding birds outside. The room and bathroom were beautifully and tastefully decorated and I immediately felt calm and comforted when I entered as my feet sank into the lush carpet. I wasn't very well during the day unfortunately but the sofa in front of the bay window with the wonderful view of the garden and tennis court was the perfect place to rest, read and recuperate.

I couldn't fault anything. If pushed the only thing I could comment on was the lack of tv in the room and I appreciate this was a conscious decision by Melanie. Don't get me wrong, the peace and quiet, the sound of the wind in the trees, the birds chirping and and gently falling rain were very welcome, but I would have like the option to turn my brain off completely and be entertained for an hour or so, especially since I wasn't well. If I'd have brought my laptop that wouldn't have been an issue.

In a beautiful setting, the house is equally stunning with the owners providing a wonderful experience throughout the entire visit. Breakfast was exceptional

Wonderful stay at the property at the end of a long road trip around Scotland. The welcome was amazing, beautiful welcome treat sat outside in the grounds and first class service throughout including a wonderful breakfast.

If I one suggestion for improvement it would be for heavier curtains or blackout blinds in the bedroom. The light at this time of year in Scotland is very bright for most of the night time and we found this very difficult to sleep as a result. It may just be us and certainly would not take anything away from what was a beautiful stay.

Beautifully presented, relaxing surroundings, spacious bedroom and bathroom with just the right facilities (tea/coffee, fresh milk, hairdryer). Breakfast was delicious.

The beauty of this period home, it's grandure, the grounds and surrounding countryside take you back to a time where relaxation was a way of life.

The whole team were really personable and helpful - my trip was nowhere near as long as I would have liked it to be but I was made to feel comfortable start to finish. The facilities are immaculately clean, with touches that lots of personality and care throughout. The high ratings for this property are well deserved.
