Our room was lovely, we had an issue with the television, but this was sorted. The food in the resturant was very good. The breakfast was continental which was plentiful. The cooked breakfast was available for £7.00 this was worth it, I woud have liked paoched eggs on toast but I thought £5.99 was overpriced. They have a Sunday carvery in the afternoon if you want one very reasonable.

The radiators were a bit hit and miss in our bedroom. This was not a problem or we would have complained.

Warm and comfortable on a cold damp day. The evening meal was really good, tasty, healthy and beautifully cooked. Continental breakfast was varied and generous with cereals, yoghourt and fruit as well as very nice bread and other goodies. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. My room was very comfortable and I slept well and I disturbed. My room was on the Main Street which is on a major road but was not noisy and after about 8 or 9 pm pretty well silent.

Everything was fine.

There were three of us and we booked 2 rooms. One was superb and spacious on the top floor . The continental breakfast was good, with the option to pay for a cooked breakfast, also good.

The second room we were allocated was a windowless space on the ground floor at the opposite end of the hotel from the other one. When I said it was unacceptable I am glad to say I was allocated a different room with a small window, adequate but not as lovely as the room on the top floor allocated to my friends.

Room was clean and Tidy. Lovely presentation with towels and small toiletiries on bed.Good location. Staff all friendly and helpful. Room the the end of hotel above the hairdressers. Room was spacious and beds comfy. Pool table and darts available to play and karaoke on the Saturday night wasnt too noisy

As above the hair salon strong smells of hairspray etc but went after it closed. Toilet roll holder was missing off wall. No where to hang towels in bathroom

Staff were superb - friendly, welcoming, helpful, accommodating. Hotel food was excellent and there were guests eating at the bar if they couldn't get a table in the restaurant. Sanquhar a pretty village surrounded by gorgeous countryside, quiet, scenic, lovely.

Be warned the hotel has dogs, the barking is pretty loud but never after 11pm or before 8am! And they were very well-behaved.

Overall the hotel was nice. Our room was lovely with a very comfy bed and a large tv. Shower was good too. Situated in nice area.

When we arrived we couldn't find where to park as it wasn't signposted well. When we entered we couldn't find a member of staff. We sat in the restaurant but left because it took to long to be served. When we came back there still wasn't a staff member. When we did get seen to we were allowed in our room early so that was a bonus. Dinner service was awful we waited an hour between ordering drinks and getting our meal. Staff all over the place.

The room was very clean, comfortable and modern. Loved the modern bathroom. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Great little bar too. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay again for sure.

If I really had to be picky I'd say the TV was quite far from the bed and at a slightly awkward angle. But it didn't bother us.

It was a lovely surprise walking through the door into a bright interior, tastefully decorated and clean. The staff were friendly and courteous, there were places out with the main area that were comfortable to sit in. The bedroom (15) was superb, plenty of room, clean, a big comfy bed and a powerful double shower in the modern ensuite. If you are visiting Sanquhar this is a lovely central place to stay.

There was a step by the reception desk that got me every time.

Unfortunately we had a noisy neighbour but not the hotels fault however maybe a member from the bar could ensure rooms seem quiet once bar is empty Bar a little noisy at emptying time but had been warned by staff about this and it wasn’t for very long

The room was surprisingly large and although an older property it had clearly been refurbished and updated. The shower in particular was good with digital controls. The food in the restaurant was excellent and good value for money.

The entrance via the car park is not very inviting. It did take a while to find someone to book us in.
