The staff was very friendly, specially the cleaning lady and the receptionist. The space was very clean and I felt safe in it. The bathroom and shower was spacious and clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly and saved our lives many times.

There was an incident where a piece of underwear of the former guest was found under the bed, but the cleaning lady was very apologetic (even though it wasn’t her fault, because she thought it was ours) and cleaned our bed right away.

The room was pretty comfortable and in a great spot in Madrid (near La puerta del Sol) - Something to add is that Madrid is a very "walkable" city. The breakfast is served in a coffee nearby and it's very good and gets you through the morning until lunch.

The place was really well located. Very clean facilities. In case you are carrying big luggage there is an elevator. It is very easy to enter the Hostal in case the personnel is not there.

The room was a little small and the bed too, but that was all.

Check in took a bit of time, didnt know how to get in. Called host but lack guidance while they were at the reception itself.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The room was nice and clean. We arrived at night, and the way to enter independently was not very clear, so we got a bit confused, which was frustrating late at night after a flight. Later, due to our flight being canceled, we booked another night and were kept in the same room. The sink was clogged and not fixed, and the shower was basic with unstable hot and cold water. Very good location. Overall, good value for money.

Not all the staff spoke English, and it was very difficult to communicate. We requested a taxi for 2:45 AM to the airport and repeatedly checked whether we could rely on the shuttle service. Needless to say, no one showed up, and we had to find a taxi to the airport in the middle of the night.

Very comfortable room, very central location. Staff were very helpful despite language barrier. There is an elevator, which is quite nice for sending bags up and down, though it's too small to be very functional otherwise.

The room was quite small and the shower especially was quite cramped. But that's to be expected in a historic building in the city center. The breakfast voucher (my friend took it, not me) was not worth it in my opinion, better to have the ability to choose which of the many local options you would like to partake in.

Excellent location. Very quiet and lovely and warm. 2nd floor but had a lift. Easy access. Pillows were good. Nice to have tea facilities in the corridor. No noise whatsoever. Amazing life outside of Hostal. Meters from. Fantastic eateries and shops yet silent behind closed doors . Great place to crash and have afternoon siesta before heading out layer at night. I would probably stay there again due to it being silent and warm inside. We were there I December and Madrid was 2 degrees

No view. Room small. Shower over bath. Water on floor after shower. It was tricky to find at first. Directions from Opera metro were very vague. Check in lady not very friendly. Breakfast was only coffee and croissant and juice so not really worth it. This was served from a Cafe up the road which was fine.

The owner is very kind and helpful man, he explained everything thoroughly. Breakfast was served outside the hostel, but it was very delicious and I could taste some Spanish delicacies. The minibar with cold drinks turned out to be a useful facility, because you always have to cool down with something in a hot weather.

Maybe this does not apply directly to the hostel, but the staff of chocolatería where breakfast was served sometimes had a problem using the English language, which meant that they did not always understand the order content. I also do not fully understand the need to insert the card into the special reader in order to turn on electricity in the room. This is the first time I see something like this.

I landed in Madrid airport after 9.30pm and therefore checked in late. Prior to my arrival I was sent all the information about how to access the building, the entry code to enter and where my room would be. I also got info about my breakfast menu choice. In fact the manager was still there and helped me checked in. The room and bathroom were cleaned every day. The building is right in the centre of Madrid but you don't get disturbed by the noises from the busy streets nearby. I slept like a log. The bed was also very comfortable.

Location, location, location! The perfect spot from where to visit all the interfering and beautiful places in the center of Madrid (and further). Although the room is very small, it is very clean and there are all the necessary facilities. The staff are very kind and welcoming.

The room where I stayed is very small - large people and people with claustrophobia should stay clear! The room overlooked a skylight only, so often I couldn't tell if it was raining outside, and no view at all. But if you are in Madrid for sightseeing, you don't need more than a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom, and this hotel had them both.
