I stayed here for an annual convention. Several previous times I stayed at Hilton, but this time tried Embassy Suites as this looked less expensive espcially with breakfast included. The room was indeed a suite and hence larger and nicer than in the Hilton. The included breakfast was as good as in the Hilton, but faster as it was self-service.

I had two major problems. 1. wnen I checked in, there was an alarm clock in the room, with a USB port. I connected a charger cord to this port to charge my headphones. Unfortunately on the second day, hotel staff replaced this clock (probably in all rooms) with a splitter with several power and USB ports, so my charger cord was gone and never returned. Another issue was that on the last night toilet flashing stopped working - very annoying. Hopefully I was just unlucky. Will probably stay here again.

Breakfast was fantastic. Made to order omelettes and hash browns. Lots of food and drink choices. Allowed to take a tray up to room for the ones that couldn't make it to breakfast. Also liked the happy hour where you could get snacks and soft drinks included and discounted alcoholic drinks. The staff were great. Even at the early hours of the morning, they organized transport for us when our Uber couldn't fit all of us. They took care of it for us and called us alternative transport that arrived so quickly. They didnt hesitate to help us. Rate the staff highly for their friendliness and their helpfulness.

I didn't like the interaction with the staff when I was checking in on the first day, or the first room I was put in. The sink was clogged and the toilet was stopped up with no pressure. Gladys got me out of that room. I was set to give your establishment a very unfavorable review, if it wasn't for Gladys and another staff member at the front desk who's husband is from Detroit, I didn't get her name. These two ladies put me back in good spirits and the right frame of mind towards the Embassy Suites, downtown Houston. Thanks ladies!

Love the location that's close to Toyota center where a concert we went to see was. Really nice staff and love the complimentary drinks 🍸.

I ask for a room that's facing the Toyota center on top floor. That I put a request when I book it and when I got the room. The lady in the front was super nice and answer all my question the only request I asked was room facing the Toyota center. I ask her 3 times and she confirmed the room would be facing that way and I can look at the windows. Didn't get that 😕 my room was facing a parking lot. Didnt want to out a complaint or anything like that but i was really disappointed more my partner. Got that hotel cause my partner love to see the view of the stadium we gonna go see the concert at.. over all the hotel was nice and friendly.

I loved the atmosphere when you first walk in. The front desk was very helpful and kind. Room was comfortable, big and great for our family.

Nothing to do with the hotel, just beware with surrounding parking lots. I did not do my research for the valet parking and we parked at the parking lot across the hotel to the right and there was a guy who said that it was overnight parking for $25.00, I paid him and he game me a ticker.... So I thought that was a good deal, we went up and checked in and came back down to get our bags and the guy was gone and then I saw a sign that said no overnight parking.... again nothing against the hotel just be aware and utilize the valet parking.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. The view was amazing. The hotel staff was engaging and friendly. The cleanliness was top notch. The breakfast was the icing on the cake. It was buffet style and had everything from made-to-order omelets to the standard eggs and breakfast meats. Plenty of side items, plus all the toppings for waffles and pancakes. Wide variety of juice, milks and coffee. 10/10 recommend. Free happy hour in the afternoon with drinks and snacks.

I can't find anything about the Embassy Suites in downtown Houston that I could ask to be better than it already is.

The Breakfast was Delicious everyday especially the seasoned potatoes and Nicole at the Front Desk was awesome and her customer service was incomparable

The Driver of the Shuttle which was also a Valet Attendant was Very Rude it rained the day we was getting transported to Lost and Found and he basically rushed us to get out the SUV while pouring down raining the Shuttle didn't operate Monday due to the Hurricane and No one showed up to work the 16th floor was having work done so that floor wasn't to appealing to the eye this was a Birthday Vacation and it definitely could have been better

Breakfast was buffet style but served by someone. It was nothing to write home about, but it was good.

I got stopped at the bar by a Hilton employee to speak about purchasing more holidays directly with Hilton. He was present and friendly; however, I don't want to spend 15 mins talking to someone in this situation. Trying to sell your product makes sense, but it massively removes the comfort of relaxing at your bar and felt very intrusive during a time I was trying to relax.

The stay was great. The hotel provided a great small reception and a wonderful breakfast with many options to choose from. The room was very clean, with fully stocked toiletries. Easy access to restaurants, bars and parks.

One thing that I found hard to manage was the parking. The hotel does not provide complementary parking, there is a parking lot across the street which is accessible throughout the day for a small daily fee, but a large overnight fee. The street parking is free on the weekend till 7am, which in theory is ok, however, there is alot of visitors to downtown during the weekend which make it very difficult to snag a parking.

Staff was exceptional in all areas. Room quietness was great and only 1 night had noise that woke me up but resulted from street noise not controllable by hotel. Breakfast was good. Great coffee. Location great if attending events downtown at convention center or baseball games.

Would like dry cereal that is not sugary such as plain corn flakes or cheerios. Loved all the fruit available. Would be nice to have a bottle opener in the room along with some silverware even if plastic packs. Also some paper towels would be nice.
