I had an excellent stay at Fontinha Porto and I’m already planning my return! This was my first visit to Portugal and my first solo trip. The hotel is exactly as pictured, clean, modern, comfortable and well decorated. Check-in was quick and easy and I received a welcome drink on arrival. I upgraded my room on arrival to one on the 4th floor, (possibly picture 39) and it was very peaceful and quiet. Everything in the room was perfect - there was ample storage, great shower pressure/temperature and a really comfortable bed which ensured a great night’s sleep. The staff were friendly, extremely responsive and helpful both via message on booking.com before my trip, and in person once I arrived. They kindly ironed some of my clothes for me, loaned me an adapter and also left a thoughtful gift and card in my room for my birthday. The hotel is perfectly situated a 10-15 minute walk from the town centre, downhill into town and uphill on the way back. Its also close to the train/bus so easy to get around. As a lone female I felt very safe the entire time, even when walking home at night. (The pictures are slightly blurry as they’re screenshots from the video I took). Thanks again to everyone a for a perfect stay! I have recommended the hotel to family and friends and can’t wait to return. :)

We had an amazing stay at the Fontinha Hotel! The staff was friendly, and the room was clean and beautifully decorated. The location may not be the closest to the main attractions but we enjoyed a pleasant walk back every night. One night, after a long day of sightseeing, we opted for an Uber, which is relatively affordable in Porto!

Fabulous hotel. Spotlessly clean. I was in a king size room and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was great. Most importantly every member of staff were so professional, helpful and very friendly.

It’s a really clean hotel with a great location. You can access downtown by walk. And staff are nice. The decoration was so cute as well.

Modern contemporary hotel, huge comfortable bed and great staff. 5 min downhill walk from Marques metro station and bus stops to key attractions.

A big thanks to the staff, especially to Roger and Joana who welcomed us on the first day. It was my husband’s birthday trip and they made it really special with their recommendations and even a birthday surprise to the room :) The breakfast is really good, and has great vegetarian options; the pizza restaurant downstairs was also a great place to have dinner on a day it was raining. Location was quite accessible by walking from the city center and it only takes 10 min to Bolhão market where you can find lots of bars and restaurants.

Services: Reception is excellent. As is not my first time in Porto, so i did not request much infos, but i saw them served others guest for infos, it was very attentive & excellent. Restaurant: in hotel resto is good & excellent services.

Location: a little bit far from old town, 15-25 minutes walk, especially porto is up-down road. Aromatic perfume: on the hallway, so i find that too much.

The staff was helpful and courteous. The breakfast was very good. The bed was firm. The shower had strong pressure. Many restaurants located within a 15 minutes uphill/downhill walk. Wall were sound proof. No issue with WiFi signals.

The room is “dark” even with the drape opened and lights on. The walk to the Trindade or the Bilhão metro stations takes about 13-15 minutes downhill. However, you return trips will be uphill. You could take the yellow metro line from the Marques station. It would be a 8 min walk on a less hilly gradient.

The hotel is very nice. The staff is excellent, very friendly and helpful. I really hope Roger did become employee of the month, cause he sure did, deserves it. He went above and beyond to give us instructions on what to visit. Travel guide level. Our room was very clean, with everything that we needed to have a relaxing stay. Italian restaurant in the lobby has first class pizza, so make sure you try some.

The restaurant can get crowded, so make sure you go for breakfast a bit earlier. And yeah, there is that moisture smell in the room, but I've learned this is the case in all hotels. It is just like that because of the humidity. So just ignore it. Didn't bother me at all. Just mentioning it here so you know to expect it.

Absolutely excellent experience starting at the reception where the staff was extremely helpful and well-prepared. The rooms are very clean, and the pastéis de nata treats were a very nice surprise. The breakfast is standard; however, you can find everything you might need: juice, fruit, coffee, pastries, and on-request omelets, etc. Dinner: If you are tired and want to dine out, don't rule out having a pizza at the hotel as it is delicious and decently priced. The location is actually great as it is quiet, while not too far away from the center. The suggested parking space (Silo Auto) is safe and has decently sized parking spaces (don't forget to change your ticket at the parking reception on the day you park your car, not when you leave if you want to benefit from the pre-paid discounted bundles). Dog owners are welcome at the hotel. You have two options for green patches around the hotel: Jardim de Fradelos (cleaner) and Jardim do Marquês de Pombal. The highlight: Rogério, from the reception, is basically the person that brings your enthusiasm up irrespective of how you are feeling. Apart from speaking multiple languages, he is a great guide for the key attractions in Porto. He adapted his tour suggestions for our exact stay time, and what I can tell you is his suggestions were spot-on, both in terms of touristic attractions as well as in terms of restaurants. As a bonus, since we live in Lisbon, he shared his own list of key must-visit places in Lisbon as well: touristic attractions, restaurants, rooftops, and cafés. We enjoyed Porto a lot; however, Rogério for sure made our stay memorable, and we thank him for this!
