Location was very good, silent and elegant. It is far away from city centre walking distance. Also there is a market, pizza store and pubs in walking distance. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We were 4 person family. It was large enough for us. The table and chairs, couch, TV and armchair was in the living room was comfortable and stylish. They put a welcome package for us which contains tea, coffee, chocolate and milk. The baths, fridge and kitchen were so clean. Utensils and mugs, glasses and plates were enough.
The host sent us an email and told that toilet papers are in welcome pack (which is 3 toilet paper and wasn't enough for a family). There was no paper towels. The pan was very old and its use was harmful from a health point of view (I have picture of it, if you like I can share). For a place of this quality, 2 more rolls of toilet paper should not have been a problem.

Great location, everything within a short walk, yet in a quiet area. Apartment very well laid out and beautifully decorated. Little walled terrace was a lovely bonus. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Milk in the fridge on arrival was a nice surprise. Pretty good value for money considering the average York price is pretty high. Would definitely love to stay there again.
Just as a feedback, it wasnt too much of an issue, hence it is not reflected in the feedback score. Although apartment was lovely and clean and in a very good state, outside garden furniture could do with some TLC and chairs could be fixed ( but we understand that the weather has not been great and wood rots in this rain quite easily) . Some cigarette butts on the ground but they are probably quite easy to miss due to the stoned area. There were no basic toiletries available and in our opinion, at least a hand soap would be a must for a short lease, but we did have a small bar with us just in case, so in the end , it was not an issue. Not much natural light in the apartment , suppose cannot be helped, but plenty lighting available otherwise.

The apartment was very clean. The mirrors were all spotless. (Could we borrow the cleaner sometime??) There were not many other people in these apartments over Christmas, and the street was very quiet. (It will become busier as new housing on the former football ground is completed.) We liked the front room/lobby/back bedroom set up. The Rowntree-themed apartment was in good condition; probably fitted out relatively recently. The TV, etc all worked, and were easy for us to operate. Thank you!
It could be noisy when there are more guests using the front doors, stairs, and rooms above the ground floor apartment we were in. The self-closing fire doors in the apartment were unusually "heavy" to open. They would be too heavy (difficult) for an older or frail person to open safely, if they could open them at all. (I'm 63 years old, and getting weaker.)

The apartment has everything, and is well laid out with distinct living and practical areas. First apartment I have stayed in with a set of kitch knives that actually cut what you want to cut! Bed was super firm just how I like it. Decor was lovely and well thought through, particularly for visitors who are there to enjoy historic York, my visit was a return home, so I got the concept as I lived in York for a decade.
An extra toilet roll for 3 nights, it was thin and cheap, having to buy a pack is a little excessive. Shower hot water was too hot for me and it doesn’t go cold at all, and the kitchen sink hot water is boiling and could scold. You have to really keep track of your belongings so they don’t get muddled with stuff in the property as there is a lot of soft furnishing and bits and bobs. Duvet cover would be better if it fitted the duvet properly, there was nearly a foot of empty duvet cover at each side, and a foot of duvet hanging out the bottom of the cover, which just doesn’t look nice for people whose preference is not to have them duvet tucked in. Whilst I have given a 10 because it is well deserved, even for 10 scores there is always room for improvement.

Great location just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. The one we stayed in was perfect for a couple and pretty cosy.
Not much to say really about what we didn’t like but if I had to pick something I’d say it would have been good if there were places to hang your towels whilst you’re in the shower - a hook on the back of the door or something. Also, slightly concerned that the same key opens the main door to the building and the door to the apartment because surely you can open all the other apartments with the same key which would be a safety concern.

Great location for what we needed, visiting family and easy to park, plenty of room on the road. Comfortable bed and good sound proofing as couldnt hear other residents apart from the front door but didn't affect our sleep. Although I have put some negative comments please accept as recommendations on how to make this accommodation exceptional!
TV not really working as a Smart TV and kept disconnecting from remote, details how to fix this provided so prehaps time for a new TV. Has a dishwasher but still have to wash up as limited crockery I.e one set of plates, bowls and cuttelry etc so have to wash between meals. Not enough cooking things like oven proof dishes, had quick meal that could be microwaved but needed to be decanted but nothing to decant into. Says on the poster and in discription that chocolate shards in the room, we didn't get any! Disappointed as looking forward to that treat. Although did like the kit kat and milk provided. Shower a little weak but used to this in hotel stays maybe a pump to make it better, it's a shame as such a lovely bathroom let down by the trickle of an electric shower.

Beautifully decorated, clean, and welcoming. Loved it! We intend to book the same time again next year!
We liked everything, this place is amazing! There were a few things we noticed that would help others that stay, but they are very minor! The king-size bedroom is very dark and needs a brighter light for getting dressed and using the mirror. The main bathroom extractor fan is extremely dusty and could do with a clean. The kitchen had a few bulbs out, so it was quite dark The bottle opener did not work and needs replacing. These are only minor things, the place really is excellent.

Overall I had an enjoyable stay here. These apartments were evidently refurbed to a modern standard in the last few years. It was warm with a central heating system. The wifi was decent enough. I had a fairly comfortable stay. The parking outside you do have to pay to park but finding a space was never a problem. Its a very good location for exploring York for a few days - I think York itself lends itself more to visiting on the train than by car. You can walk to the Minster in 10 minutes from the front door, and pretty much everything in York from the railway museum to the city walls are all a comfortable walk from here. The shower was good with plenty of pressure and hot water.
I was in No. 60 apartment 2 on the ground floor. I can't speak for the others. I think some people would find the bed uncomfortable as the mattress is a bit hard. I'm sure it was done for a reason but I think the way the apartment was laid out is a little curious for such a small space. Overall though I would probably stay again.

Spacious, well equipped apartment. Large comfortable bed. We appreciated the tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplied. Clear instructions for entry etc. Good location, within walking distance to the station or city centre. Price is probably ok for York, which is generally expensive.
Nothing major. A bit dusty in some places, eg. clock, bowl with stones, around the area where the information folder is. Would have appreciated somewhere to hang clothes or bath robe in the bathroom (maybe a hook on the back of the door?)

15min walk from the centre of the city. Comfortable, clean, bright. Enough mirrors for getting ready. Everything we needed from the apartment and it's facilities.
The amount of stairs are a bit hard going. No lift, so no good if you have mobility problems. We loved the place, but found it tough. We parked for free with blue badges, but you would have to pay extra for a resident pass, if you don't have one. Also, only 1 pass per flat, but it sleeps 6, which most normal cars won't fit more than 5 - especially with luggage.
