This really was the best hostel around!!! Very clean Tea and coffee facilities Toaster Very nice chilled lounge area made us feel very comfortable Nice bed Walking distance to marina bay sands Loads of bars shops and McDonald’s on same street

Sometimes the shower didn’t turn up when I altered the temperature Other guests were noisy in the morning which was a shame as the bars kept me up at night (Saturday)

I stayed in both the LOFT queen beds and the twin beds. Both options were phenomenal with exceptional level of privacy. Both had full body mirror and blackout curtains. The lofts had an entire work desk area, drawers and dressers. The twin beds had plenty of storage above head. They provided towels and clean sheets. The staff was very patient and kind when I wanted to extend my stay one night. Thank you Mr. Lu and the cleaning lady whose name I didn't catch. Very strong A/C I felt it was too cold most nights. Location-wise, excellent! It is right along the water, you get a grand view of Marina Bay just by the bridge. I can walk to all the touristic areas easily, Fullerton Hotel, Merlion, Marina Bay, Fort Cannin park, Garden by the Bay. Nearest MRT is Clark Quay, just 5 minute walk away. Every morning I had the A2 kaya toast set across the street at the friendly uncle's place. There is a convenient 24 hour 7-11 downstairs too. The shared lounge area was cute. It had free coffee and water. Read the community books and the lovely messages left by previous travelers.

The walkup is quite steep and the stairs are narrow - not a problem if you're young but beware if you are not as fit. You will have to walk up with all your suitcases at an angle. The twin rooms all share 1 toilet - this is a problem in the morning. There is a sign that says there are more toilets on the 4th floor but the keycard doesn't work for the 4th floor. Singapore is known for being clean and safe but this is a party street, the street at night can be rowdy on the weekends with drunks sleeping on the floor, rats, and puke.

good location and reasonable price. cute room and individual bed ( this place does not have bank bed, which is the reason why I booked this hotel). nice staff and good service. Lounge has enough things helps my stay such as coffee maker, kettle.

The shower is not separated by gender and it is only separated with thin plate for each shower booth. and there is no room for taking off or putting on your clothes and I needed to minimize my clothes before I go to shower which might not be confortable for some people.

So, I will preface this by strating that this is a budget hostel. Outside of Singapore in the rest of SE Asia, you could get more bang for your buck, but this is Singapore where everything is expensive. It's a dorm-type accommodation with two sets of dorms featuring double or single beds with a privacy curtain. Each berth comes with a safety deposit drawer and the dorm room gets locked after 10pm. The communal area has free tea and coffee facilities and the staff are lovely. I had a single berth, which was adequate. They also give you earplugs against snorers. Rooms have dehumidifiers and scented fresheners. It is close to the centre and a 5 minute walk to the Merlion and Fort Canning park is nearby.

They state that the berths are soundproofed but they are not and I definitely got woken on occasion by heavy snoring. There are limited toilet facilities, so you need to plan for that. The security box gave me slight anxiety as it didn't look like it would stand up to someone determined to get it open. They are more of a deterrent than a safety box. I think the rooms as a consequence, should be locked all the time, as you have a card to access anyway.

We stayed in the room with extra space for you under the bed and it was a great decision. In that floor you have two showers and two WC. There is free coffee and tea available. The shared space is big enough where you can relax. The internet was also good. The hostel is in the city center and close to the main areas. They clean everyday the shared areas and if you have long stay the change towels and sheets for you.

They should fix the key door as it is always opened. Singapore is a safe place but you never know the people who are around. They should also change the welcoming cards with information that it was relevant in the past (They had breakfast included or social activities but not anymore)

We had a fantastic stay at HipsterCity hostel in Singapore! The location is perfect, just a 10-minute walk from Marina Bay Sands, making it incredibly convenient. We stayed in a double bed in a dormitory, but it felt more like having our own room thanks to the space under the bed, complete with a wardrobe, desk, and safe. The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The common area offers unlimited drinks, and the team always made sure everything was stocked up. Plus, the option to leave our bags on the day of arrival and departure was a huge bonus. Highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Singapore!

- extremely helpful lady on reception - despite being in a dorm, the beds felt very private and everyone was extremely courteous - A locked safe to store valuables and an area to hang up clothes - on a lively street with lots of food and drink options - well located and within walking distance of various train stations and bus stops to help get around the city. - Good air con in room (an absolute must in Singapore!)

- the double bed options are "small doubles". We had back ache after trying to squeeze both of us into the bed comfortably for 5 nights. Would have been absolutely fine for a shorter stay. - we booked a double bed in a dorm. There isn't much room for two people's luggage around the double bed, so try and pack light/compact! - the front door (on a busy street) is always open and the doors to the bedrooms are kept open during the day (at night you have to use your key card). Thankfully Singapore is a safe country, so I imagine bulglaries are rare! - the music from the surrounding bars is loud. We didn't find this to be too much of a problem, but bear it in mind if you are an extremely light sleeper. The hostel provides free earplugs to help minimise noise.

1) Great experience on the Double Loft Bed 2) Light breakfast provided 3) Walking distance to reach Exit G - MRT Raffles Place 4) Boat Quay just a stone's throw away, different type of restaurant and Bistro to hangout

1) two shower room and two toilet seem not enough for each floor 2) male and female separate will be more privacy when using the shower room / toilet 3) no laptop / computer in the lounge for us to surf internet

Very good location. Great coffee, decent breakfast. I could take a shower before my flight after I had checked out which was great.

The staff was very friendly but quite reserved and not very "present" (they are in a back room and you have to call them if you need anything). Felt more like in a hotel or even more anonymous. My mattress was super squeaky, so every time I turned I woke up (myself and probably the whole dorm).
