We love staying at Waterloo Meriton when attending the Moore Park sporting events. We book yearly for the cricket test which allows us to walk daily into the venue without the need of a car or transport. We aren’t young but easily manage the mostly flat walk. The apartments have everything we need and are spacious and comfortable. We like the large bed with its good quality linen. Although you don’t get the daily servicing of the past any requests for extra towels, toilet paper etc are immediately brought up. The convenience of a well stocked Coles supermarket and many food outlets allows us to eat in or eat out as we please. Parking is $30 per night which is average for the city and the car can be taken in and out whenever we like. We stay here regularly and will continue to do so as it suits us fine. The staff are friendly and obliging.

Our arrival at the Motel was met with a warm welcome. The room was warm, clean and inviting.

After reading what to expect with facilities eg Bathroom amenities such as the list of provisions....no dental kit... No flannels, which should be standard Having to make special request for towels and hand towels for the following day No extra blanket available for bed Bare essential coffee for 2 people over 2 nights No water bottles in Fridge....had to buy our own If someone is there for a quick visit, tell them what is just around the corner from Motel eg Supermarket, Bottle Store or Cafe. Not just a brochure of sights to see in Sydney.

Having cockroaches in the bedroom was not a all pleasent

I enjoyed the comfort of your two-bedroom apartment and the spacious lounge. Excellent facility with big lounge and cooking facilities, washing facilities. I really enjoyed the stay hence I have booked to come and stay there again next week.

I recommend that the rooms be cleaned after two days. Otherwise, stock up on enough towels and toilet paper so that we do not need to keep calling to ask for replenishment. Also if we can find a way to shorten the walk to reach Block C as it is a long walk to get to the lift to Block C at the ground floor and the option of the long walk at Level 7 to the other lift to BLOCK C.

We stayed in a double suite and the rooms were spacious, very clean and had a great view from both balconies.

The bottom draw of the fridge door was broken, and the coffee machine wasn't working so we eventually got a new one. For a big kitchenette we needed a bigger bin as we did a lot of cooking during our stay. We were also not aware of the cleaning schedule and ran out of toilet paper and coffee pods so had to ask the reception staff quite often as we were in Sydney for 7 days. Perhaps a cleaning schedule would be informative in the rooms?

It was a beautiful 2 Storey apartment with plenty of space to move around, a great kitchen, two bathrooms one with a bath! laundry facilities and a very comfortable king bed also had on site parking even though you had to pay extra for it, was comforting to know your car was safe and sound and close by the location was simply awesome able to use the pool facilities just down the road, but need specific instructions on map as I couldnt find the door until I walked right around the whole building

the top floor shower head was stuck at the bottom of the rod and I wasnt able to move it - reported to housekeeping but not sure if Maintenance was informed Was stuck in lift the first day and last day due to card not working but the receptionist was happy to assist us by riding the lift with us to make sure we got to the apartment the car park wouldnt let us in or out as the registration number was put into the system wrong when we first booked in took awhile for someone to answer the help line to help us get in and out

The location is great if going to concerts or sporting events at Moore Park, Hordern Pavilion or SCG etc. The one bedroom suites are large and have everything you need. Ours was on two levels with bedroom upstairs and kitchen, dining and lounge downstairs. Not sure if there are other options if you have mobility issues.

There didn't appear to be a lot of sound proofing. Even though it's Sydney and to be expected the outside noise was quite loud and we were on level 7. The sliding doors were incredibly hard to open and need maintenance. The lift was also not working on departure so had to use the fire stairs.

As usual we had a great stay at the Meriton Waterloo. Our go to accommodation for every event we attend at the SCG. We love the easy walk into the stadium. Mostly flat and safe. The Meriton is so comfortable and convenient whether it be an overnighter or a week stay we find this is the best spot to stay. The lovely staff are always efficient and friendly and will always try to get you quick access to your room. We love the variety of eateries and close access to Coles and Aldi if we are staying a while.

A very minor issue on this overnight stay was that we were on the main road so traffic was louder than on previous occasions. But this is very minor and hadn’t happened before as we must have been lucky to get an apartment facing away. This will not impact our readiness to rebook.

We have stayed at the Meritons Waterloo a couple of times and we love it there. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and it was on an upstairs and downstairs level. There is so much space and it is so well equipped. The staff are friendly and incredibly welcoming. We travelled with 2 young children and they have them chocolates and toys at check in which was so kind. The location is great next to supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.

Not a negative but just to note this Meritons is not near a train station and the pool is a short walk away and not in the building.

Location, price and room were great! The room was lovely, spacious, clean and all inclusive. The bed was comfy and would definitely look at staying in a Meriton suite again. Close to a lot of shops, restaurants and Hordern Pavillion which was our reason for staying.

Only downside was the highway road noise even with the windows and doors closed as well as being directly across from the elevator so there was a bit of noise from that too. Being that the hotel is directly on a busy highway there’s nothing to be done about that though, so I wouldn’t use that against the location if we were in the area again. It’s very handy where it is.
