Wonderful staff from beginning to end. Harsha and Kasun (who prepared the meals which were delicious) could not do enough to make the stay amazing. Hirinda the owner was so incredibly helpful and communicative. The place was gorgeous setting and incredibly quiet and for a chilling and relaxing break it was ideal.

Needed a few more things to do or facilities to make the stay even better.

Lovely stay at the Elephant Lodge post our safari tour, only 10 minute drive away and great value for money! Hosts were very friendly and helpful and was perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was amazing, our best one so far in Sri Lanka!!

The lodge is situated within a very quiet part of town, away from traffic and noise; it is only a short driver away from the national park. Owner is very friendly and helpful; she provided assistance via text message even when she is not physically present at the lodge. -staff are also very warm and friendly, going out of their way to make me feel comfortable.

There were cat and dog circling around me when I was having dinner, breakfast. They are also hungry and want some food from me. At one point, the cat jumped onto the table during a short power cut and licked the food on my plate, which means the food is contaminated too. I would enjoy the meals more if cats and dogs can be kept away from the dining area during meal hours. Of course this can be difficult as this is an open dining area without concrete walls.

It was super quiet and in the middle of nature. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We felt like little VIPs, on arrival they asked us already what and when we wanted to have dinner and breakfast. They prepared everything lovely and it was super delicious.

We were looking for a semi Jungle feeling to match our safari tour in Uduwalawe National Park, and Elephant Lodge was excellent for this purpose. Wild life, especially wild peakcocks from our private terrace. The organized safari tour was perfect.

Communication and welcoming was perfect. We have had asked for arranging a safari for us, which was organized really smoothly. The accomodation was simple, yet stylish and also very clean. Also the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Being so close to nature was also a thing that we really liked.

As the accomodation is really close to nature, approaching the place (especially in the dark) might be a little challenging. We got every necessary directions, still our driver was a little nervous on the way there. Also it would be really nice if the wi-fi network covered the lodges as well (during our stay internet was available in the welcoming area only).

Loved the location and the staff were absolutely amazing 😀 looked after us well. We were able to use the pool next door if we buy food. The hutts were Very clean and beautiful 🤩

Elephant lodge is great for an overnight stay so you can take a safari at Udawalawe National Park. Hotel staff were able to organise the safarai and make suggestions on the best time to do it . The property is in a quiet secluded location, with the cabins overlooking a reserve. Included breakfast was good quality and you are able to request lunch and dinner as well, as there is no restaurants or shops in the immediate area. Take any snacks, supplies and money with you if you need them whilst there. Overall, a pleasant relaxing stay and nice friendly staff :)

The Elephant Lodge was fantastic. located in a quiet area, it is a collection of cottages in the middle of the forest, with views over a green park where i could spot peacocks! a short ride to the Udawalawe park entrance! Huge room with all the amenities needed and a nice verandah to enjoy a quiet afternoon. Harindi, the manager, contacted me well in advance to inquire about dinner and lunch preferences. The dinner was fit for a queen and breakfast was also delicious. Most importantly, the two staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciated the small things: for instance, they sent me a photo and a brief message to let me know the room was ready on the morning when i was due to arrive!
