I was here for the Spartan Race, the hotel is located about 40min from Sparti, the first half drive is on plane road, the second part is going uphill till the top of the mountain where you will find the hotel. The road is in good condition and don't require anything special. It's really in the middle of nowhere but what a crazy place! You can see all the mountains around, there is an incredible silence and sense of peace which is really hard to find somewhere else. The structure is basically new, it's builted in solid stones and the wall are almost 40cm thick, so perfectly sound proof. The owner George is extremely skilled chef, I really recommend you to have dinner in the hotel and try his wonderful dishes. His also very gentle and helpful with the guest. In those days we were all guests for the race and he wake up earlier just to prepare us breakfast early and allow to eat before the race...what else to say? Go there and enjoy, you will never regret!!

Our stay was too quick!

The way up is not easy. A narrow road with a lot of sharp and confusing turns... quite challenging. But the result is worth it. It is a wonderful place, solitude in the middle of the mountains. There is incredible peace and quiet, disturbed only by the bells of the sheep and goats that graze nearby. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of the beaches, this is it. In addition, the temperature in the mountains is about 10 degrees lower than on the coast, you will definitely use a sweater or a jacket. But the greatest treasure is the owner - a kind and attentive host. At the same time, a chef who will offer you really great cuisine, different from anything we have encountered so far. We can definitely recommend it. And we would like to come back...

After years, the hotel needs and is undergoing renovation, step by step, which does not take anything away from its interest and authenticity. There is no air conditioning, which, given the conditions, is not necessary at all. All telephone and data connections are clearly limited here...

-A wonderful family hotel where one can find peace, friendly smiles, relaxation, good conversation and endless horizon view. This is retreat in a massive estate, atop of a hill with stunning view of either the horizon from the one side or the peak of Taygetos mountain on the other side- depending which room you will choose. -The rooms are spacious, clean, have all the necessary amenities and constantly heated and of course hot water is there as well (this is not a place where temperature changes due to higher altitude). -The are various paths to walk in the hills and the woods with amazing view, flower and trees smells and peaceful silence. -The place can be reached easily but the road is at parts a bit narrow for non-experienced drivers. Follow the wooden signs of Faris and you wont miss it. -An extra praise to the owner, George, who has been an exceptional host with amazing food choices, so fresh and all of them hand-made (even the feta cheese you eat has been produced by him) that makes it the perfect place to both sleep and eat without even needing to go anywhere else if you do not wish to. I should add that even for a greek who is used of fresh ingredients and local cuisine, this was a wonderful surprise that deserve a distinguished note. -Among the positive aspects was the acceptance of two dogs from the owner who genuinely did not mind having them in the premises. He has two wonderful and friendly huge dogs that you can cattle without hesitation (I'd say it would be a pity not to hug these sweet girls). -Parking is free and spacious. -Xirokabi (Ξηροκάμπι) about 20 minutes is the first main village you will reach and it has some nice options for coffee and food. Sparta is about 45 minutes. Faris is close to other places of historical interest such Mistras and Kaidas and not far from numerous seaside resorts at the Messenian Gulf. More or less within 1-1,5 hour you can reach all the interesting places around.

There was nothing I did not like. It is a nice place to visit. Visiting the mountain is a type of vacations that is not so well-known, due to the predominance of seaside resorts but well deserved to try.

Magic place with a very welcoming team and wonderful view! The rooms are comfortable and the view from the balcony is amazing. The team gives great tips for exploring the surroundings. The hotel is also a restaurant and the food is local and the chef very very good. Prices are very reasonable.

We stayed for 5 nights (breakfast included) and it would be great to have some variety in the dishes for breakfast.

The Location in the mountains with just nature around is stunning, the view from the rooms, the pool with natural water, the delicious traditional food and the most important: the absolutely awesome and super nice owner, cook and travel guide George! Our relaxing days in the cooler mountain area were perfect, this place is definitely something special!

Superb mountain hotel and location to explore Teygatos. Excellent facilities and service and the owner knew everything about the area where to hike etc Also his cooking was amazing and so good I had to eat two dinners when came back from Teygatos summit

Perfect location for climbing the Profiti Ilias en Georgos has all the information for that and other walks in the surrounding mountains. Special location with fantastic views on the beautiful mountains. The hotel is decent with alle basis nerds, and the meals are excellent.

A magical place with amazing hospitality. Cozy hotel, great food and wonderful views. We dream of coming back.
