The room was spacious and clean, bed was super comfy, temperature of the room was just right and the facilities were great. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, good quality ingredients and lots of choice. Evening meal was also very good, good size portions and good value for money. Staff were always on hand if needed for anything. Room service was also excellent. Fab location for a weekend of shopping at The Metro Centre, ample parking at the hotel available.

Pillows were a bit hard, an option to choose different pillows would be a nice touch. Check in was easy but a small mix up meant we were keep waiting for the room. A welcome drink may have been a nice touch.

It’s a lovely hotel and one we stay in when we can. Rooms are lovely and the hotel has a comfortable stylish feel. Perfectly situated for the metro centre and Newcastle.

Just a few niggles. We booked two nights and then one extra night as we extended ours stay. Despite me e mailing the hotel just checking we could keep the same room it wasn’t straightforward when we checked in. It took about 5 minutes to check in. Also the bollards were up a few nights so when we came back to the hotel we had to drive around the other side of the hotel to access the car park. There was no sign to inform us of this. Just a bit irritating.

Staff were all really friendly and helpful. The room was far better than we were expecting and well worth more money. Good location for Newcastle city centre and the metro centre. Breakfast well worth the money. Evening meal was lovely.

The restaurant was quite cold when we had our evening meal. I don't like the new practice of automatically adding a gratuity onto the bill. I'll leave a tip if I feel it's worth it. The bed was two beds pushed together so went down slightly in the middle. At breakfast there were a couple of people in their pyjamas. I think this shows a lack of respect to the hotel, their staff and the other guests. There should be a strict policy of actually being dressed for breakfast. One of these people was also in their pyjamas in the bar area the night before!

Professional and friendly staff. Good parking spaces close to the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and spacious with nice bedding for a restful night's sleep. Little disturbance from other guests during the night and good sound proofing in our room. Ideal location for Metro Centre and events at the Arena. Temperature of the pool was lovely and nice for relaxing after a busy day. Lounge area was much larger than other hotels so we could sit with friends for a drink and chat at the end of the day.

I found the depth of the pool a little disappointing for swimming but totally understand the requirement to cater for all ages and abilities, hence, safe for children etc

Swimming pool open till late, excellent changing facilities. Our rooms were spacious and well equipped, although they were on different floors, we had requested them to be close together. Housekeeping worked very hard in shocking heat that week. Very comfortable stay, would recommend to business users and holidaymakers. Such good proximity to transport networks to get out of the city but also for the city, the Metro Centre and superstores. Ideal location.

A tiny niggle, on check-in there were people waiting behind us that the receptionist obviously knew and was very welcoming to whilst checking us in, having a conversation with them about their journey and how they were. Felt we were shortchanged slightly with the welcome! Other than that, a terrific stay.

Excellent location for Newcastle and Metrocentre. Good room size and facilities, great shower, free parking. 24hr Asda across the road for anything you forgot. Easy check in. Great shower in room and shampoo/ conditioner and shower gel Nice leisure facilities and changing

1 lift working that seems to stop on all floors Service in the restaurant could have been more welcoming and friendlier, there seemed to be other breakfast options and no one explained how it works on arrival. When asked how do we get pancakes we got ‘you order them’ … it was maybe a lack of customer service training. Very shallow end of pool for a leisure pool.

Room was great. Beds v comfortable. Very little traffic noise so a great night's sleep. All the staff were polite and helpful. The best staff feedback relates to a male cleaner who was working on our corridor. He seemed v busy but found time to get some more tea bags and milk. He was then asked to get a wine bottle opener. He produced these in minutes and was so very, very pleasant about the whole thing and so polite. I have travelled extensively in the UK and many other country's on both business and pleasure before retiring and this member of your team was first class.

The rooms and beds are very nice and comfy. Shower was lovely, and the toiletries bottles fitted to the shower wall is a great idea. Good number and positions of recharging points for phones etc. The drinking water fountain in the foyer is an excellent addition, with cold sparkling and still water always freely available. Maybe one on each floor by the lifts would be a good idea as well? Choice of food in the bar is good, also being able to have tea/coffee etc instead of alcoholic drinks.

Breakfast: Just machines now for tea/coffee, instead of personal service. It all feels very impersonal and unfriendly. Need longer shower screens as the showers are so powerful that the screens are too short to stop the water going out onto the floor.

Location brilliant close to all the shopping we wanted to visit. Staff very friendly especially the leisure staff around the swimming pool. Reception staff nice and cleaning staff friendly and chatty. We enjoyed the leisure facilities swimming pool steam room,sauna changing rooms towels brilliant, Bar area very good. Didn't try the restaurant but may do if staying again.

We did not get told that we had to opt in to have our rooms cleaned daily so on the Saturday morning we went out shopping and on our return on Saturday evening our room had not been cleaned. We had to inform reception staff to ask if this was normal as we thought that staying for three nights our rooms would be cleaned automatically without having to ask. Also on the Sunday evening at approx nine oclock our room t.v. kept switching itself off the screen going blank so we had to keep switching it on using the remote control buttons but after 30 minutes we decided to switch it off completely as it was a frustrating trying to watch a program and was a bit late to call reception about the issue but we did mention the problem to reception staff on checkout..
