The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast had a variety of fresh baked goods, a hot dish, cereal, fresh fruit and hard boiled eggs (a favorite of mine, non-dairy). The afternoon wine hour had a variety of nibbles. Also, the the place was spotless and there are lots of hard wood floors! Great view of the ocean and the boardwalk. We were there for the Christmas holidays and the house was beautifully decorated and very homey.

The hotel is beautiful and historic. It's conveniently located for the beach and the wharf, but I was disappointed that it was not directly on the beach (I had assumed it was, based on the photos). We had the room at the front of the hotel, so the view was still very nice. The breakfast was delicious, but choice limited. Wine and cheese at arrival a nice touch.

The shower water pressure is very weak! I wonder if its due to the age of the building. The bathroom was beautiful and big, so a bit of a let down.

Excellent location: just feet from the beach, boardwalk, good restaurants, and the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center. Bed was good, not too soft. Wine and cheese in the afternoons was a nice touch. Breakfast in the morning was a little carb-heavy, but good. I liked the grooming products and lotions in the room, they smelled great. Big shower. Free parking. Free Wi-Fi.

I stayed in the bungalow rather than the main house and it was teeny, tiny. Not even a closet. I had to ask for a folding chair so I had somewhere to sit other than the bed. The worst thing was there are no surfaces in the bathroom to put my lotions, creams, hairspray, cleansers, and so forth on, though there is plenty of room on both sides of the sink for something narrow. Please put a little table there! Thanks. :) Also there is a dead pixel in the TV screen, which is a small but annoying detail.

First of all, we were surprised with the Complimentary Cheese/Wine welcome (we arrived late) but we received a Pinot Noir for two! That was a Kind and Generous Gesture! We wish we would have stayed longer! This place is Beautiful, immaculate, comfortable and nicely Situated across from the Ocean. I really Enjoyed the View! I also loved the amenities such as the Robes, the Bottles of Cold Water, the KEURIG was Great and your full sizes of soap, shampoo and conditioner! I highly recommend staying at this Inn to anyone looking for Comfort, Cleanliness and a Complete & Delicious Breakfast! Thank you very much for your Hospitality. Everyone was Wonderful!!!

Full breakfast was very good and filling. Afternoon wine and cheese was also a very nice plus.

Room corner fireplace was set to pilot so could not see flames using the wall control switch. Would have been corrected if we had notified front desk before leaving. Had the room adjacent to kitchen so could hear staff preparing 8:30 breakfast each morning.

Perfect location for the pier and boardwalk. Only 10 bedrooms and plenty of free parking for all rooms. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and lovely marble bathroom. We appreciated the wine and nibbles each evening and the breakfast quiche each morning. The chef came out regularly to refill so nothing ran out.

Our stay was great. However, the breakfasts were disappointing. We stayed three days, and we had basically the same breakfast each day. I mean quiche each day. I understand that you are not making made-to-order breakfast, but even scrambled eggs or an egg casserole, at least.

We loved this property- everything from the location (across the street from the beach/wharf but still within view from the room) to the staff (very friendly and helpful) to the extra touches that made our stay special (drinks and cookies upon welcome, a cheese and wine reception in the afternoon). We also enjoyed the breakfast, which had mostly cold options with one rotating hot option. The room was beautiful as well! Nothing bad to say, we would recommend :)

Beautiful esthetics! Only has 10 rooms no air co destining or elevator but the weather is great with ocean breezes. Greeted with homemade cookies and complimentary drinks and popsicle !! Fabulous breakfast and delightful wine and charcuterie happy hour ! There are bikes and beach towels to use too.

Couldn’t find anything negative

The breakfast is unique with new options made on-site every day, the facilities have a lot of character and everything was very clean; the location is close to the boardwalk but still feels separate and quiet; they put us into a room on the first night that did not really suit our needs as a family, but everyone was super helpful and they managed to put us into a different room without any issues the next day.
