Perfect location for getting around, exceptionally clean, and ideal for young professionals. The shower amenities were high-quality, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, my experience with payment was a bit inconvenient. I paid in full via Booking.com, but upon check-in, the property informed me that no payment had been received on their end. I offered to pay in cash, but due to their cashless policy, I had to settle with my card again. I loved the architecture which was visually appealing and made very clever use of space so that it felt spacious and luxurious without unnecessary opulence. Furnishing details in the lobby added a sense of fun and provided an atmosphere in which guests were inclined to mingle. The architectural library available for all to read was a bonus for a solo traveller. The bed was exceptionally comfortable to sleep in. Friendly, helpful and informative staff were the best part of this experience.

The bed, although comfortable, was a bit too high and required a little jump for me to get onto even though I am close to average height for a woman at 168 cm. I was disappointed that the towels were changed after only one day which I thought wasteful given I had a booking for only 2 nights. This contradicted the environmental ethos that was espoused.

Really enjoyed the funky aesthetic and friendliness of staff, we felt very comfortable and welcomed. The room was exactly what I expected in terms of functionality over frills with a wonderful view of Kings Park. The wonderful vibe, interesting architecture, and unique touches was a delightful bonus. We slept very comfortably, which is rare as we are both fussy insomniacs and the breakfast was a lovely and varied spread.

The water pressure was a little too low to be satisfying with the big showerhead but it is plenty strong when directed through the handheld showerhead.

I have now stayed here 3x ... I like that upon checking in 3rd time , I was upgraded without asking and given free breakfast and when I asked for a quiet room the lady at the desk was so kind and understand/ receptive ensuring my stay would be ok. I once ( not this stay ) did have an issue with another employee , I did send an email to the manager , it was received quickly and addressed effectively-- I appreciate professionalism and courteousness as I travel most days of the year. I like that there is a Nespresso machine in the room, a heater, its quiet, clean across from the park designed by Australians now owned by a French company.

The staff are amazing, very helpful and very accommodating. I was able to check in early and check out late which I really appreciated. The rooms and hotel are stylish and clean. I had everything I needed in the room. The Kevin Murphy range body wash, lotion, shampoo etc were the best I've used at any hotel. I had a city view room which is always a nice touch. Great location across from King's Park. Plus you can park at the hotel or there's free street parking on weekends. Food and drinks available. Great social dining area and also a bar. Yes I would recommend or stay again.

The rooms are quite small but for the price I'm not complaining. Bigger cups would be great. And extra teas, coffee and hot choc

Temperature of the room was already set to very good 20C, but I increased it to 22 as we do not use aircon often at home. Staff very friendly. Atmosphere at the reception/lounge area feeling good and friendly.

There was a high pitch whining somewhere in the building, probably from an aircon fan that needs replacement. It was on the edge of hearing, but considering a great sound isolation of the room, to sensitive people it could be the issue. I did mention it to the receptionist, but I do not consider it as a problem. Not worth a negative review :-) I can't remember if I've seen a sign on the Kings Park Road indicating where the Tribe's street is. Not everyone uses GPS, but obviously, it is not worth any negative review comments either :-). If you are using your car, book in for the parking in Tribe's secure parking area.

Great team of people at Tribe. Made us very welcome and made sure or stay was as pleasant as possible. Had a city view room (607) and having an entire wall as a window gave an impressive view. Loved the open dining, foyer cafe area and had breakfast there both mornings. Yes the rooms are small, but we were there to discover the city so we were out all day and the size didn't bother us.

It was a pity that our air con unit wasn't working perfectly during our stay, but as mentioned above the staff worked really hard to resolve this issue for us and followed up during our stay once the service team had been through. Maybe more than 2 coffee pods would be nice!

The glass bathroom door (very loud when closing and room door were both extremely heavy. Made it difficult to hold the heavy door open to bring luggage and items in and out the room. Fridge was not very cold. I wasn’t informed or aware that I had to book hotel parking and had to pay for parking on the street. Maybe inform guests of this when booking (unless I missed some fine print)

I ordered the Tribe Standard Room for my brother who is homeless at the moment so I can image the rooms and the venue were a huge change from sleeping on the streets. Staff were lovely and assisted in a late check-out so my brother could get the extra rest he needed. J reported that the bed was "super comfy" and that he felt very special indeed at the Tribe so I'm really blessed by that and highly recommend a stay to anyone thinking of it.

A lovely modern hotel with great beds, air con and a very helpful staff for the most part.

A few things rankled a little: 1. When I arrived, I wasn’t met with a ‘hi’ or ‘how can I help you’ or even a ‘do you have a reservation with us?’. I was met with literally nothing and had to introduce myself and explain I was staying there to someone who seemed confused about it? 2. About 10 mins after I got into my room, I had a call on my in-room phone. I didn’t answer, but instead called reception after. They weren’t sure why I got a random call. This was quite annoying. 3. I left some shirts in the room - now to be sure, I got them back for which I’m thankful. But I had to call and message multiple times to elicit a response. And when I went to collect them, my ironed and hung shirts were presented to me crumpled in a broken plastic bag. Quite odd.
