The location was fantastic, Beer is such a nice quiet place, and Belmont House is too. Room was very clean and tidy. Good number of towels, there was fan provided and there were tea and coffer making facilities in the room. Very much agree the property is adults only, and the town itself seems more suited to grown ups thank kids. Host was responsive to texts ad all went smoothly.
Only negative was that the ensuite was very snug, so long as you park in the long-stay parking bays your are fins to use the parking voucher is the lot just across the road.

The location couldn’t be faulted in relation to the main town / car park and the beach. The small patio seated area at the front was a bonus for early morning coffee and early evening drinks. We saw a cleaner everyday with the room being spotless.
The room, Bedroom 3, was far too small for 2 adults and indeed more suited for single occupancy. The bed position only allowed access from one side, again for 2 people not ideal. Not hot water to the basin tap whilst the en-suites itself was more than adequate. If we hadn’t had the 2 small patio areas outside I don’t think our stay would not have been so enjoyable.

Our stay in Belmont House Beer was lovely. The room was smaller than we thought, but we did not mind. We thought it was cute and cosy! The bed was comfortable, and we slept really well. The room had a selection of tea bags as well as coffee and hot chocolate. There was also a bottle of water and some sweets. The location was perfect..We were a few steps away from the beach and the centre. We didn't see the host(s), but before our arrival, we were given all the instructions for the check-in and check out, and it was easy. .
We really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay here again in the same room if it is just for the weekend like we did this time. However, if we were going to stay more than 2 days, we would book a bigger room.

Excellent location - centre of Beer - and thoughtful touches such as wine glasses and cork screw, a little bowl of sweets and bathroom additions. The bed was comfortable, shower was good and the room was clean and tastefully styled. The house was beautifully presented with tubs of flowering annuals and the free parking was one of the reasons we chose to stay.
The early morning screeching of the seagulls! We wondered why the room had two complimentary packets of ear plugs! Our first evening was a Sunday and the restaurants were closed. The beach cafes and fish and chip shop were also closed. The Dolphin pub stopped serving food at 6.00pm and the Anchor pub had a queue for food and drink that extended out of the building! We later discovered that the influx of tourists was due to the regatta and the Lionesses winning the football. Staff who were off work were called in to help with the work load! We opted for the Dolphin before we knew about the Anchor - we were lucky! We'd been travelling all day and ate earlier than usual as we were hungry. The Dolphin lacks a little in atmosphere but does do a good Sunday Roast!

Beer is a lovely little village and the property was right in the village close to everything that the village had to offer. The free car parking was very handy
We wish that we had booked a larger room had we have realised the difference between the rooms. Ours was excellent though the bathroom was very small but understandably it had to be as the room was not that large. This is not a complaint just a comment.

The apartment is located across the road from the car park and a very short stroll to the beach, bars and restaurants. The apartment was lovely and clean and had all of the facilities that you could wish for. It was a very comfortable stay with great communication from the owner/manager of the apartment.

Great location - especially with car park directly opposite, proximity to cafes/pubs etc, and close to the coastal path
The pull cord for the wall-mounted bedside lights could not be reached from the bed. If they were a bit longer that would have been helpful.

Beer is a picturesque fishing village on the south Devonshire coast..that is closed at eight o'clock. But ideal as a hub to visit Lyme Regis and Sidmouth and the beautiful hamlet of Branscomb. The accommodation was small, but clean and comfortable. The shower is a tight fit for most people and our tv didn't work, but these are minor negs.
Nothing...it was ideal for our purpose.

The location of this property is excellent, being very close to the centre of Beer. The added bonus is a parking permit to allow free parking in the public car park which is close by. The rooms are cleaned on request, every day if required, including replenishment of tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, biscuits and water. We requested - and received - this service every day. Bere, itself, if a very beautiful village, with lovely walks right on the doorstep and the beach, though pebbly, is a lovely place to sit and chill out.
There really wasn't anything I didn't like. Just be aware that this is a 200 year old property, so don't expect all mod cons. Fine if you like old properties. The room we had had the shower cubicle in the corner of the main room - maybe not to everyone's choice but fine for us. The toilet was a small room set in the opposite corner of the main room itself but the sink was in the main room where the tea and coffee facilities were. A bit of a strange set up but then the most was made of the space to provide what you need for a few nights away.

It was close to all the amenities. The room was very clean and everything was true to the pictures posted.Liked the fact that we had a free pass to the car park, which was just across the road. Also the pub was just across the road for food and drinks.
The sink to wash in and the shower were in full view in the bedroom. and there wasnt room for bedside tables. This was not the owners fault as they did what was best with the 200 year old room.Although not many stairs my partner found the stairs a bit steep and carpet pattern didn't help. Not too many stairs though and she is 80 years of age.
