I stayed at the Lurline for five nights while attending a work conference. What a lovely building and setting, and very friendly staff. The studio room I was in was clean and spacious, with all the usual amenities. Great location right on the Belmore Rd intersection, so it’s convenient to shops, supermarket, cafes, restaurants, takeaways, the hospital, and the light rail into the city. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was small but well-appointed. I had a terrible experience on my final night with a loud guest in the room above, but one call to the after hours line and this was sorted out swiftly. Cannot fault hotel or staff for such professionalism. Thank you Lurline, I’ll definitely be back and recommend to friends, family and colleagues!

The location is bustling, so earplugs are recommended— this is also recommended due to occasional incidental noise from others in the building (its heritage, so there will be creaks and bumps occasionally).

Great location (close to hospital, which was the main reason of our stay. Also close to tram station, bus stop, supermarket, restaurants/cafes, everything). Staffs are all friendly. $20 vouchers at 22grams cafe were included in our meal plan. And the cafe was amazing.

There is a leak in the bathroom (Room 20, Heritage Room). I strongly recommend to get extra bath mats. The fridge is quite small, and there are no plates or cutlery in the room. However, you can easily get them from the shared kitchen, so it's not a problem. It can be a bit noisy since it's right next to a main street, but this is a trade-off for the convenience of the location.

Lovely stay located centrally for a recent event at UNSW. The rooms have been decorated in keeping with the beautiful old building but are modern and very comfortable. All amenities required for a work-related overnight stay. Breakfast voucher provided for a cafe a small distance walk away which had great food and coffee. While parking is limited at the hotel and I wasn't able to pre-book, the light rail station is directly across the road. The staff were super helpful and reception was open long hours. Shout out to Jessie who even printed some material for me at 9:45pm for my work the next day!

Being very centrally located has a trade off with a busy road. Front room meant some ambient noise at night including pedestrian traffic signals - will request a room further at the back of the property for my next stay.

We arrived by an early flight and the staff Jessie was very nice to let us got in our room earlier. We chose a room that’s facing to the main street (Avoca St). Our room was situated at the 2/F, the room size was good enough for three. The room was nicely decorated, same as the profile photos. As a bonus, our room has a small lobby with glass doors open to the pretty balcony, this small area made our room area bigger. The beds and pillows were very comfort. Two big windows (double glazed) in our room provided very sufficient lights into the room during the day. However, all windows were locked up, could not open. The two female staff at front desk were very nice and helpful. A kitchen with dining table located at basement with a washer and a dryer, guests are welcome to use by free. As the kitchen was close to some guest rooms, so it closes at 10pm. Coles supermarket was nearby, you can buy all things you need. Chemist Warehouse just cross the road, very convenient. A beautiful Catholic church (Our Lady of Sacred Heart) was just 1 min walk. The light rail station (Randwick) was just opposite of the hotel, around 20 mins journey to Sydney Central Station. For a few more mins the light rail can reach Hay Market, China Town etc. Contact front desk If you need to arrange a carpark in their locked-up garage with some charges. However, there were some free street parking just next to the hotel, depends on your luck.

The air-conditioner blew directly to the single bed, and cannot be fixed. Seriously insufficient lightings in the room when the night came. Some corners of the room are almost totally dark at night, eg. The wardrobe… Asked help from front desk and they replied that was the design. We suggested if they could provide a portable desk lamb or a floor lamp, they promised but finally nothing happened. The door of the bathroom has no knock. The dryer in the kitchen was not dry enough, no matter we set one or two hours. We still have to hang the clothes inside our room to make them dry naturally. Or you could choose to go for a coined laundry nearby.

Beautiful Victorian building in a great location, with convenient on-street parking available at night. The courtyard is a standout feature – a perfect spot to work, thanks to the reliable Wi-Fi. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making for a pleasant stay overall.

Overall, it was a great experience. However, the bathroom is quite small, which might be a bit uncomfortable for larger individuals. Additionally, the walls are quite thin, so we could hear our neighbours at times.

Amazing staff!! The room was big and beds were super comfortable. Breakfast vouchers for the cafe across the road were great. So much better than your standard hotel breakfast options. Tram into city also across the road so very convenient.

Nothing to dislike but there is a height restriction on the carpark and the spaces are very tight so it you have a larger car you'll need to park on the street. Parking in streets off Judge St Randwick are unlimited so give them a try. 5-10min walk back to the hotel

Our third time staying at the Lurline. Great location, friendly staff and pleasant, comfortable rooms. I really like the building - it has a lovely courtyard, charming decor and each of the rooms we have stayed in so far have been different from each other. Such a lovely area and so close to The Spot in Randwick, where we love to eat and shop for knick knacks, or Cooggee beach for a swim. Parking is a little tricky, as it's mostly street parking options - there are a few spaces but it's very hard to book one. All in all, for the money, it's a great option and I'm sure we will be back.

Parking is a bit tough, but that it is due to to the location and the age of the building. Difficult to find a place around here that is as good as the Lurline with a better option for parking!

Amazing old building but beautiful interiors. I loved the courtyard, the shared kitchen with washer and dryer. The rooms were super quiet even though ours was on the main road. Spacious rooms with super high ceilings. We had one night in the deluxe (3 person) and one night in the normal room and both were fabulous. The breakfast (included) at Twenty-two grams was amazing as well.

I can’t think of anything. It was fabulous and the staff were super attentive and welcoming.

Location was very convenient to L train terminal and easy walk to supermarket. Superb eating out choices within walking distance. Courtyard was very cute. Staff were friendly and helpful

No storage room for suitcases. Towel racks were too high and rail in wardrobe was too high. More hooks or rails in bathroom please. Also weather dependant, the courtyard felt very exposed and slippery in the rain, maybe complimentary umbrellas available in racks for journeys between the two wings?

The location was so convenient to public transport The building was attractive and the outside back patio was lovely for breakfast

We were in room 1 which was opposite a guest facility for washing , tumble drying, prepping food and eating meals . Very noisy and no limits to time of use - not before 8am and not after 10 pm as a suggestion - this was very disturbing and spoilt our nights as guests used the facilities until early hours and disrupted our rest. Disappointing to our overall stay at this lovely hotel. Management will need to address this if they are placing guests in room 1 .
