We were here for a few days. It is a convenient place to stay, not from from the Zocalo and other places of interest. There is a metro station close by that allows you to go anywhere you want in the city. Mike

The room is small. The photos shown on booking are deceiving.

The location is good for visiting the historic center, rooms are comfortable and clean. The cleaning staff was very nice and accommodating.

There are some weird sounds from machines that sometimes turn on for a few minutes and then back off, this keeps happening during the whole night. If you are not a light sleeper it's not a problem. The reception staff was just rude, The original check-in went ok, but afterward, they made me feel like I insulted them or something, didn't greet me back, when I had questions sometimes pretended to not hear/see me even though I stood in front of them, was a really weird experience

We had a lovely stay at the Castropol Hotel. The location was safe, central and handy for everything, the quality price of our deal was excellent, including the good and fresh breakfast. We used the restaurant in the hotel every day, after excursions and sightseeing, and we found a rich choice of good food, including the menu del dia which was a bargain, particularly the rich selection and quality fish. We felt at home and found all of the staff helpful, professional, very kind and welcoming, from the reception to the room cleaners and the restaurant staff. Despite the unusual heat, thank you for helping us have a very nice week in Mexico City.

I liked the location as it was close to the main cathedral. I liked that it had an elevator. I liked the size if the room. Being on the 6th floor was nice.

I didn't like that there was no a/c, and the room was stuffy I had to open the windows to freshen the air. It was very noisy outside and it was bothersome after opening the windows. This is an older property.

Efficient, convenient and good hotel, apart from the following points,

- The remote control for the air-conditioning system had to be lent out with a 500 peso deposit. This is a problem in the case of late-night (earlty-morning) check-outs. In practice, though, they were flexible and very kind. - The safe in the room was locked and could not be used. This is something that should be checked for unlocking when the room is cleaned. - Cleaning was inadequate and there were a lot of pastry crumbs on the desk chair.

1. Location: near to Plaza of Constitution and subway station Pino Saurez. 2. They gave me a room equipped with AC. 3. Frontdesk receptionist can speak some English. Good enough for communication. 4. At least one English TV channel with movie or drama.

1. Breakfast is great, but waiter/ receptionist doesn't speak English. No English Menu. So, I ended up with over-ordering the food. I did not understand the menu, so I picked up the most expensive one from each category.

Internet was perfect for doing video calls and working remotely. It's located right in El Centro so you're close to everything. The majority of the staff is very friendly and always willing to help if you have questions or to just shoot the breeze. Cleanings of the room are very regular. No issues with safety whatsoever. Bed was comfortable, and aside from occasionally noisy guests, getting to sleep was very easy. Very little outside noise at the location. I would certainly use this location again if and when I ever return to CDMX

The woman who ran the restaurant in the hotel was in a bad mood every time I saw her, so I stopped going to eat there after a couple of weeks.

The location and the staff. The hotel is close to everything of interest to me: the Zócalo, the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Templo Mayor, access to the metro, etc. The staff is very nice and attentive to guest needs. It also helps that they have an onsite restaurant.

I didn't like that they do not have central airconditioning or individual AC units in the rooms. Instead, they have these portable and gyrating tower-like fans that cannot be regulated. They do not have a noise control button nor one that would allow guests to put the fan into a stationary position. But all in all, it is an excellent hotel, especially when you consider that the room rates are also very affordable. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in above average comfort and is on a budget.
