We work online and need strong Internet. Once we got there, it was clear that the Internet wasn't going to work very well. We even brought our own Starlink satellite just in case. But it wasn't working in our room. However, I reached out to the staff and they put us in a room with a clear view of the sky and a router right next to our door. It made all the difference. Excellent response!

The comfort of the room was affected by two factors: number one, no air-conditioning. I know this is Switzerland, but global warming has made air air conditioning necessary even in places that didn't use to need it. As a result, we were sweltering, and the fan in the room is woefully inadequate. Number two: the bell towers nearby go off at all hours, day and night (and early morning). Not the hotel's fault, but something to know. The fans didn't cut that, either.

Overall a great experience! The room was perfect for being out and about all day. The staff which I didn't see (there is a very easy self check in) was very helpful via email. Everything was clean and they offered some free refreshments on one of the floors. It was a little bit of a walk to the train station, but not terrible.

The windows had some plexiglass (most likely for safety reasons), but this made it hard to get air in on hot days. We were able to place the fan above the glass to get some extra air in though.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was right in the middle of the old town, close to everything. The only minor issue we had with the automated checkin was that we created two card keys. This first card key opened the room door for the first time, then stopped working. The second card key kept working. We tried to cut a third key but it would not allow us. Not very important, but it would be convenient for both of us to have their own key. Thank you for the service.

Location, proximity to the lake, attractions and the train station are a big plus. The hotel is a cute, historical, boutique hotel, which was renovated in 2019 or so. There are just 2 rooms per floor. The hotel has a small but useful elevator, if you have luggage. The rooms are a little tight but ok if you are not staying for long.

Suggest to retrofit rooms with more power/USB outlets, No room service or evening contact person available if you need anything.

A comfortable boutique hotel in the heart of historic Lucerne. Our second-floor room, while small, was artfully decorated, clean, and very comfortable, with a large opening window. Breakfast was simple, and service was excellent. The staff was welcoming and helpful, with great recommendations for area restaurants and sights.

The weather was very warm during our stay; there is no air conditioning in the room. We slept with the window open and a floor fan, the room was above a street-level bar, so it was noisy until later in the evening.

This is an attractively decorated historic hotel. The location was perfect for us with only about 5 minutes walk to the station. But we also stayed there for the food which has some great ratings in Switzerland. They use fantastic local produce and also have a great wine list. They have 2 restaurants and we ate from both menus. The bed was really comfortable and there is a small lift. The staff were informative and helpful

This is an old building and they have done a great job to make the rooms really comfortable. Hence there is no air conditioning (fan and hydronic heater) and the rooms are small. You can hear some noise from the room next door. I find the down filled pillows difficult to sleep on but they seems common in Switzerland.

Really enjoyed our stay in Lucerne at the Schussel hotel. Great location and large, spacious rooms. Check in was easy and clearly communicated!

There is no AC, so just something to think about when booking. Also had to evacuate the building in the middle of the night due to a fire alarm… all was a false alarm and nothing came of it, but rather frustrating as it was the night before we were scheduled to leave.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with tips and directions around the city. Make sure you have dinner at the restaurant...it is AMAZING. The room was sizeable and very clean. This hotel is close to the train station. We made the mistake of taking a taxi. It's not necessary!

There wasn't air conditioning which is typical for hotels in this area. The windows needed to be open and it was a little noisy at night but can't be helped by the hotel. For a quiet area you will give up convenience of location.

Had an excellent time at this hotel. great value for money (at least at the time when we went in February). breakfast seemed expensive at first, but it was actually cheaper than in most other places in Luzern and the quality of the food was excellent. we had dinner at the restaurant on the ground floor and that was great too (and again great value for money comparing to most restaurants in the city)! room was very clean and quiet and the bed was super comfortable. we slept so well! wifi works super well. I will def be back next time I am in Luzern!

small detail, but it would have been nice to have a boiler with some coffee/tea in the room. I don’t usually look for it, but considering Luzern’s prices, it would have been nice to be able to have coffee in the room!

The location was great, quick access to restaurants, cafes and public transportation as well as some of the historic sights. The hotel/room itself was clean and comfortable, plenty of space for 3 people.

Most hotel showers I've found are a little odd for keeping the water in the shower which can cause some minor flooding of the bathroom if there is no door on the end.
