the property was in a good location. you need a bike tho to get around as there’s nothing in walking distance. they will hire a bike for you though easy. the place was quiet and cute and came with free breakfast. the room was spacious and very clean. the staff were very friendly and accommodating for all needs
the shower was not hot and the air con was not very cold. however we did not mention it to the host so not sure if it was Normal or could have been fixed. other than that, nothing else. all good

Lovely little cottage, well maintained gardens, excellent WIFI staff so nice and helpful, very new accommodation and everything in the room worked well. They have a kitchen facility which is handy if you want an easy lunch or dinner and a nice sitting area at the front. You'll need to rent a scooter to get around the local area. Really lovely the place and would stay again.
Honestly nothing

Excellent, everyone that is there is so helpful. It has a very nice energy, very welcoming. Helpful with transport and all sites to visit. The room was large with a large table. So great for working or anything else… the mosque can wake you up. So ear plugs can be good.. very comfortable bed as well.
It’s a quiet area

We were greeted nicely and our room was very spacious and comfortable. The location is great and the breakfast is generous. We also appreciated being able to leave our bags after checking out so that we could spend a few hours at the beach! Thank you!

A true home away from home. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the room is spacious, comfortable and clean. The location is excellent, near beautiful beaches, though renting a scooter or using Gojek/Grab is necessary. We enjoyed our first stay so much that we returned for another week. Pia prepares the most delicious Indonesian breakfasts with fresh fruit juices and tea/coffee. During our first visit, Ata invited us to a neighborhood wedding preparation event, which turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences we had in Indonesia. The entire village came together for the night to prepare the wedding meals, with everyone contributing to the effort. We were shown each stage of the preparations, from cutting fruits to making rice paste sweets, and were even able to join in. It was a fantastic experience and an unforgettable night. Thank you 🙏.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The place is a hidden gem. The rooms are big and spacious, everything was clean. The staff were spectacular, Pia, June and Atta took really good care of me and were happy yo advice and help with anything I needed. The atmosphere is very friendly and laid back. Places like this are hard to come by. I would definitely stay here again.
It can get a bit noisy from the nearby mosques but it could be because I stayed there during Ramadan

The room was very comfortable, but I personally prefer to have a fan, or at least to have the choice. The temperatures were not that hot while I was there, so A/C was definitely not necessary, but there's no way to move the air at night as there are no windows other than the main glass door, which you need to close when sleeping. The room was very clean and modern and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very spacious. The staff were EXTREMELY friendly, helpful and did everything they could to make my stay a good one. Fatta was really helpful and kind, and another guy, (I don't think I ever got his name, but he always addressed me by name), was also very friendly. They have a REALLY good team there. Very impressive! The location is ok as long as you have a scooter, but you ABSOLUTELY need a scooter! There aren't really any restaurants or cafes around the guesthouse. (Maybe there are some little local warungs, but I personally didn't see any.) But that's the strange thing; there really aren't all that many cafés or restaurants to choose from in Senggigi overall. I had to try 5 places before I successfully found a place with a working coffee machine in order to get a European style coffee. I finally found a few really nice places-(3 restaurants/bars side by side)-on the beach just beyond the town to sit and have a cafe latte and relax, so I went there each day, but that was about it! (Google: Bamboo Café or Jo Jo Bungalows Café.) Senggigi is a very strange place. It looks a bit like a ghost town, at least during the day. There are some MASSIVE, super high-end resorts in the area, and some little guesthouses like Sammy's, etc., and then there's the town with some restaurants and small bars, but that's about all. It looks like it was once a thriving area, but apparently the earthquake in 2018-(which they have still not fully recovered from)-and then the final blow of Covid really did this place in.
I was a little disappointed with the breakfast served at Sammy Cottages. There was only one option, which was a bit frustrating for 3 days. It was one egg, (it was supposed to be poached, but it was more like hardboiled), toast, some fruit, and there was coffee, but no milk for the coffee. In 31 years of traveling I have never encountered that! I bought my own milk, no big deal, but that was definitely odd.

I had a great stay at Sammy's, it's excellent value for a nice big clean room and breakfast. Sammy and the family are lovely people and they really made me feel welcome. The bedsheets are super soft too! It's in a good location with restaurants and bars to the North and South from Sammy's. Like anywhere in Bali and Lombok you need a scooter to get around, anyone who writes a review and says it's too far from this/that has never travelled before. You have to have a scooter in Indonesia.
