Very enjoyable stay. Room was clean, Wi-fi good, tv good. Food (breakfast and we ate all three nights of the stay) was very tasty, just about priced right. Beer was good too. Car parking easy. The bar area is cosy with a nice fire, the restaurant seating is good. Friendly, helpful staff. The village is pretty - not too far from Morpeth, Corbridge and A1.
Little things only - better plug in bathroom basin, a floor towel for the bathroom (especially for the slight gap on the shower screen). Entrance of the pub through the restaurant was a little strange - having to walk past diners to get to the bar when checking in didn't feel very welcoming, but understand you use the space the best you can. If the flow through the pub could be organised differently it would be brilliant. Table booking system is a pain.

Perfect location for a local wedding. Ample space in the bedroom. Nicely styled. Breakfast was good.
It was an accessible room which meant the bathroom mirror was very low , perhaps for a person in a wheelchair. Just making the mirror longer would be inclusive of everyone. The toiletries were at the other side of the bathroom from the shower. Inside the shower there wasn’t anywhere to put toiletries. If a person struggled with mobility this may be problematic to them. The table with the in front of the mirror in the bedroom needed to be moved to put a hairdryer in. Not sure how this is useful in an accessible facility.

What a relaxing and enjoyable short break at the Beresford Arms! We cannot praise this amazing accommodation and incredible dining experience highly enough. Even more impressive was the genuine warm welcome received from Josh and all his team. We stayed in the newly completed ‘Stables Suite’, which comprised of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, lounge and dining area with kitchenette, and bi-fold doors leading out onto a beautiful private garden. It was finished to an extremely high standard and was immaculately clean, with very comfortable beds, smart TVs, and lovely extra touches such as a coffee machine with pods provided. We had breakfast and our evening meals in the award-winning pub restaurant. Literally every single dish we had was cooked to absolute perfection. Breakfast was cooked to order with plenty of choice, and was served piping hot. The full Northumbrian breakfast is a must! Our evening meals were full of incredible flavours, created using quality produce, and were of an exceptional standard. We took advantage of the Wednesday steak night which offered great value. The onion rings were to die for! Thank you for such an incredible stay in your charming and friendly village pub. We loved every minute and hope to return.
No negatives.

Two details first: on arrival, room seemed cold, radiator wasn’t working (apparently there had been a power cut earlier). Hotel staff sorted this out quickly and efficiently. Very nice bar: we were amazed to discover it served an excellent Cava by the glass, at a great price. This is exceptional even in city centres: downright amazing in the wilds of Northumberland: well done!!! Slept well; great breakfast.
Very minor point: (our room was in former stable block): stairs giving access to rooms have very narrow tread. Might be a problem for someone with poor mobility.

This was a last-minute booking for the new year. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely man, who was friendly and chatty. We went to our room which was lovely! Had everything you could possibly need for a stay. The room was spacious and clean :) We went onto the bar for drinks, it was cosy with a beautiful log fire burning. It was a beautiful setting. The next morning we had breakfast which was included in the stay, this was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place and will stay again x

Same lovely, friendly exceptional experience as I've enjoyed over my last few stays at the Inn. I travel for work and I stay here because I know what I'm going to get. Relaxing overnight stay with exceptional food and friendly staff every time.
There was not a thing I didn't like about the Inn. I even enjoy the quick breath of fresh air I get going from the rooms (which are outside the Inn itself) into the main building in the morning. What's not to like about a nice countryside morning atmosphere when going for breakfast? If it's raining - take a wee brolly - you'll only be outside for 10 seconds :)

An excellent country pub with great accommodation. Room well equipped and with a excellent tea/coffee tray. Breakfast and dinner were both very good. Varied menu.
Broken shower gel lid, looked as though it had previously been dropped and damaged. No toast with breakfast, strangely they provided a plate of conserves. We met up with friends who we'd not seen for two years and obviously had a lot of catching up to do. At 10.15pm the staff started putting stools on tables and this was our queue to leave. Whatever happened to 11pm closing?

The room was clean and bed and pillows very comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was excellent..I had fish and chips, my hubby had the burger both were delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for! The breakfast was OK... I had scrambled egg with smoked salmon hubby the eggs benedict, although tasty we felt the food was a bit lukewarm. All in all we had a pleasant stay and would return
Although the room itself was spotless..the communal stairs and corridor were a bit shabby, carpets needing a clean and walls and door a lick of paint. The water pressure in shower was poor, but we managed. A beaker in bathroom for toothbrushes and paste would be a good idea. Quite a few trip hazards on walk from main building to the rooms...uneven paving stones and potholes also where gate has been removed...I nearly had a fall when walking from room when it was dark

Located in a beautiful quiet village close to Morpeth. Spotlessly clean, well maintained. Great atmosphere, everyone friendly in the restaurant and bar. Food was gorgeous with many ingredients sourced locally. They have a good range of gluten free options on the menu and also happy to adapt where possible. Room was comfortable and it was quiet.
We liked everything. A couple of suggestions … ask the butcher to supply gluten free sausages and extend the options in the dessert menu. For example it’s easy to make a really good gf sticky toffee pudding or key lime pie.

Comfortable bed and our puppy was well catered for too, with treats and an extra bed for her to sleep in. We ate in the bar area as we had our puppy but we were well looked after and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and the drinks were very reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent and they even bought us some sausages for our puppy as requested. We would highly recommend eating or staying at the Beresford Arms. I live not too far away and will definitely be coming back to eat at the restaurant. Thank you to the staff for being so accommodating and generous. Many thanks Max, Andy and Dory.
Nothing.
