Open plan living area and kitchen. Cosy fireplace. Unit was clean.
We think it's newly build units with a 'mountain view' - except for other units in front of you. The unit is also right next to the other unit and a unit above.... Definitely not mentioned on the specs for these rooms/units. You going away to relax then you stay right next to the other guests. The rooms was extremely cold, no heaters or air-conditioning to heat up. It was a very cold weekend. The fireplace only warms up the living area - and no wood are supplied... If you arrive late and don't have any wood or charcoal - you going to freeze. We booked a 2 bedroom villa but we all(4 of us) ended up sleeping in the one bedroom.

We stayed in one of the lodge rooms and it's beautifully decorated with more than enough space for two people to move around in. Very clean and tidy as well. Although the service at the restaurant wasn't that great, *most* of the food items on the all-inclusive dinner menu were excellent! Would definitely recommend the chicken roulade and fillet steak! The chicken curry potpie, not so much (very bland with lots of chicken skin and a watery "sauce").
There is no extractor fan in the bathroom, and with the room being open plan, everything was covered in steam after taking a shower. Even the bedside tables, coffee station, and closet doors. Service at the restaurant is very slow - even on days when we were only 3 couples seated for dinner at the same time it would take forever for the food to arrive. The self-serve breakfast isn't set up well - people were queueing from all directions for the egg station, so people who didn't even want eggs had to wait too because they couldn't get to the rest of the buffet spread.

We travelled as a family of 6 adults and loved our comfortable accommodation at a Lake View cottage, and a luxury apartment on the Equestrian Estate. We loved the cool weather, beautiful surroundings, with horses and zebra roaming freely around us. Our children loved their horse ride around the whole Estate, and playing pool. Staff were pleasant and friendly. We didn't catch any trout, but they were definitely there.
Our stove didn't work on our 1st night there, but one call to Reception and it was fixed by their electrician in the next half hour. Very impressed. 5 days wasn't long enough to do everything on offer. We will be back next year and stay longer. Thank you Dunkeld.

We stayed at the equestrian estate. The room was really nice overall and han a beautiful view. The staff was really great and David was great at teaching us how to trout fish. The padel court was a nice touch and the guy working at the bar there was very friendly. My daughter loved her horse ride with the zebras and other buck. Great time was had by my family and I. 2 nights were too short.
The room was really nice, but there was a horrible drain smell coming from the bathroom that could be smelly in the bedroom. The unit was also not prepped too well. There were maintenance guys in our room for a while after we arrived and there we lots of dead flies around all window areas.

The grounds are amazing and well-kept. The lodge rooms have been modernized with the latest plugs, which was convenient. The cleaning staff were thorough and accommodating. The restaurant is lovely. The breakfast spread was good.
The things that were not great are not within the property's control. The road to the lodge have deteriorated quite badly, so it's advisable to not travel in the dark so that you can see the potholes clearly. January is a very rainy and cold time in Dullstroom, so the weather was not great - so I suggest that people call the property to check what the weather is like before leaving.

Loved the views. There was a lot of activities on premises and around. The bed was really really comfortable. I even asked the brand etc. so I could get one for myself too. And the breakfast which was included was just amazing!
The bathroom wasn't clean in our room. I found at least 5 spiders and you could see that their webs have been there for some time, because it was brown from all the dust. I showed the reception pictures and they sorted it out for us.

The attention to detail and the excellent service we got from Spha, Zoey, and General Manager Mpho. They went beyond measure to ensure our group stay was comfortable and enjoyable to us. Our stay was truly unforgettable, and it was all thanks to you and your incredible team. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, warm, and committed to making our experience exceptional. The facilities were top-notch and added so much to our enjoyment and relaxation. We all had such a memorable time, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you once again for making our stay so special! Regards Maki

The treatment from the staff it was overwhelming to get to know that there are people who understand what customer service is. I had booked a standard room and when I asked for an upgrade it was done without a hustle, the restaurant at the place is great, the zebras and horse there makes the view great. I appreciate that the place is far away from the city and sirens The petal, quad biking and hiking are some of the activities available there which I really like doing with family
there were some bunch of people that came on our last night for a team building I think they made noise throughout without considering that the place is for rest.
