The staff was super!!! Some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met.

Booking.com suggested it was beachfront rooms but there are ZERO oceanfront rooms at this hotel!!! Had to pay an extra $40 per night to switch to a room on the side of the hotel so we could at least see the water and not a parking garage…very misleading.

Great hotel with a private beach, nice outdoor pool and hot tub.It was a fun place to stay at an affordable price.It has free parking and plenty of restaurants nearby.What really excelled was the staff.Joyce (manager) was exceptional. Housekeeping was available but we opted out but was given clean towels and sheets whenever we asked. Our stay was for a month and anything we needed we could ask for.Loved the live music coming from the next hotel.Beautiful sunsets over the gulf was seen from our room and balcony. Overall our stay was wonderful and would recommend a stay at Gulfview.We will be back next year.

This is our 3rd stay in here, we really love the location and private beach, and the price is not high like any other place around.

All rooms need manutence, the carpet it's start to smell bad because the humidity and cabinets are falling apart with rust, so it just needs a little more attention.

Very well located, the pool area is great, the little beach in front of the hotel is cuuute! the kitchen space in the room was ok too and the staff is super friendly. The view from our room was nice too!!!

The room had a very strong smell, like old or that the carpet and curtains had never been washed before… our towels had hair on it, but we did not report it to the front desk and slept with the windows opened and used our own stuff.

Great location. The private beach was wonderful, as we had young children with us so it's smaller waves and fewer people made it feel safer for my grandchildren. It was easy to dash out to the beach or pool at any time. We really liked the balcony view too. The kitchenette was a great plus. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always available when we needed new towels or anything. We were there 6 nights.

Not the hotel's fault, but we were there during Hurricane Debby. Quite the adventure! Two days of rain and wind put a damper on our trip, but we enjoyed watching the hurricane from the balcony. Having a kitchenette was much appreciated, as it was hard to eat out during the storm.

The rooms were spacious. It's an older hotel but they have new appliances.

My grandaughter and I stayed here!..I absolutely loved it..the staff so friendly...very clean the beds very comfortable...it's a private little area that's not loud...very relaxing!..definitely would stay here again!...there were so many bad reviews after I booked this that I stayed stressed...after getting there I was so upset people were giving this place a bad review!...no it's not the big hotels...let me compare to city vs. Country...it's a country vibe...with the southern hospitality...simple and relaxing!

It has its own little beach on an inlet. It’s next door to Shepard’s, which has a tiki bar you can walk to in a few short steps. The beach area is well-kept with staff raking the seaweed and sand. There’s a trolley stop a few steps away as well as several restaurants. The Hotel Manager is a sweetheart. She is always pleasant, no matter what the situation. The Maintenance Manager is always busy and has a fun personality. Gulfview is a hidden gem. They have put in new air conditioners, redone the showers, etc.

My room smelled damp and musty. There were many smokers on the beach and in the pool area. The beach area is small, so it wafts across the whole area. While Shepard’s is nice to have close by during the day, there’s music til 11 pm most nights, so ask for a room on the other side of the property (of course, this is not in Gulfview’s control). You can rent chairs and umbrellas, but the chairs are old and sag where your butt sits.

I love that you have your own private beach and it’s a short walk to see live music.

When we stayed we didn’t have a key to get in our room because of something that happened to the system so every time we had to stop at the desk to get maintenance to let us in our room. It was an inconvenience but they were on top of it and we never waited for them to unlock the door . The staff is awesome.. manager and maintenance guy were so friendly.. we stay at this hotel twice year because we are local.
