The best breakfast! Everything worked, very good bur very unusual in a motel. Spacious and well presented. Excellent value.

Key card readers on 2 of the external doors were malfunctioning.

We liked that it was clean, beds were comfy (medium firmness), AC wasn't too loud, staff was responsive to our messages and requests, and there was a breakfast though mostly just pastries, cereal and oatmeal. It was pretty close to the freeway, airport, restaurants and riverfront but pretty quiet at night. There was a round-like outdoor pool but didn't get to try it.

Wished there were blackout curtains as our room was quite bright early morning facing east. Wished there was less plastic waste for the free breakfast (i.e. they used single serving disposable cups to measure out the waffle batter, styrofoam bowls, and individually Ziploc wrapped pastries when people can use tongs, napkins/plates.

SMF airport is not well marked. Taxis, Ubers, and hotel shuttles all park on the side of the building and wait for you to find them. This is an older hotel with huge rooms which has been very well maintained and is very clean. We appreciated the 40 inch television and superior cable channels. The French shutters did an excellent job of keeping out the morning sun. We were in one of the back rooms where it was extremely quiet. Breakfast was a large selection of cold foods, plus waffles. This is a family run hotel and everyone was friendly. The price point was great. We arrived in a storm and the room heater quietly kept us warm all night. There is a McDonald's and Dennys next door. The bed and fluffy pillows were so comfortable that we stayed an extra night. This will be our go-to place in the future.

real orange juice at breakfast would have been nice.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic, and a big part of that was thanks to Jolene at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, Jolene greeted us with a warm smile and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. She was incredibly helpful with , offered great local recommendations, and made sure we had everything I needed. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with top-notch amenities that made our stay even more enjoyable. Jolene attentiveness and professionalism truly elevated my experience. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning!

Too late for breakfast but felt that every aspect of our stay was a surprise - ands a pleasant one at that. An unfriendly welcome that often makes your feel like a problem rather than a guest happens all too often at small facilities. The lady who greeted me was simply down to earth and friendly. We received a sincere apology from a cleaning staff member the next morning following a loud disagreement between two guests outside our room. Cleaning staff caring enough to apologize, and for something over which she had no control nor input? Unheard of elsewhere. Our stay was a pleasure. We felt that we’d stumbled on a jewel for inclusion during our next road trip from Canada southward.

I stayed for a single night after attending a festival nearby. But I really love this place. It really set exceeded my expectations for an “Inn” it really is more like a hotel. It may still have old charms but the lobby, the room, the dining area were very clean, comfortable and cozy. The continental breakfast really was the cherry on top. Yes it was continental breakfast but it was the first where I had bagels that were not stale and a lady who offered amazing customer service. If you’re going to book here and plan to have breakfast, please bring cash for tip! She really deserves it.

I didn’t get to try any of the facilities but I wouldn’t mind booking here again and try them out next time. If there’s anything I didn’t like it would just probably be the sketchy area around the corner of the vicinity. But unless you’re going out for a scroll (note recommended) then you’re good. A police station is just right behind the hotel so it feels pretty secure.

Everything was really nice from the moment you arrive. We arrived a few hours prior to the check in time, but they let us check in before since our room was already available. The staff was really friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and very spacious. Although the beds are a bit high for a short person, they are really comfortable and smell clean. The bathroom was also clean. The breakfast was good, with a lot of variety of food and drinks, we had a pleasant surprise since we saw some comments about not liking it, but we thought it was good and reasonable for a continental breakfast. At the end, they let us leave our baggage there after check out time when we went out to downtown to a last walk around.

The only downside was the homeless problem they have on the back street of the hotel. However, we never felt insecure on the hotel, they had everything with good lights and the area secure.

The hotel was nice. The breakfast was good. The room was good and the staff was great

This is not a good location. There are lot of homeless people hanging out under a bridge nearby and around this neighborhood. I did not see any on the hotel property, but you don't want to go to the McDonalds next door. We tried to grab a snack there and witnessed a cop running a guy out of the bathroom. It's a real problem in downtown Sacramento in general and this hotel seems to do the best they can to survive in what is now a bad part of town.

The staff was very friendly when we checked in. The hotel was clean. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. A bonus was that the number 11 bus stopped right in front of the hotel which is a $2.50 fare and you are downtown Sacramento within 10 minutes. The Continental breakfast in the morning had hot waffles, Danish, fruit, bagels with cream cheese, coffee, juice and cereal. It was wonderful. This is the only hotel that I am going to stay at when I have to go downtown Sacramento

All was good.
