Fabulous. Exceptional cleanliness, decor, service, and on a high floor you have wonderful views of the city. The location was very convenient if you plan to visit lots of different neighborhoods in Taipei. The public bath felt like a high-end spa, and the attractive, bright study lounge was a lifesaver when I had work to do. I made the mistake of leaving my eyeglasses in my room, and staff promptly and efficiently arranged to send them back to me in the US.

The restaurant on the first floor (not run by the hotel) was just average.

Great location very close to public transportation. Room had a nice view and comfortable overall.

The breakfast room was rather small and crowded, a bit like a canteen.

Our king room on L6 faced the building works directly next door - works started at 8am and this was quite noisy. Something to consider for those considering staying (not sure when these will be finished)!

Love the onsen. Very relaxing. Also the hotel is modern and clean.

I dint like the see through Bath room. The shower area glass should be frosted over. Location is good as this is close to the mrt but it is also not totally convenient as the walk to the shopping area takes about 15 to 20 mins.

Excellent location - you are basically right in the center of Taipei, there is a subway stop connected to 2 lines right outside your front door, and pretty close to lots of buses as well. If that isn't enough, you get access to free parking. Some might argue that there's "nothing nearby", but I liked that: you are a very short trip from major attractions or touristy areas but where you are staying feels more authentic and isn't swarmed with tourists. You are still very close to some nice restaurants, cafes and breakfast spots. Didn't end up making it to the public bath, but the deep one provided in the Deluxe rooms was excellent. The customer service was very excellent and friendly and felt in line with what you would expect at a 4-star in Japan. Room was quiet (we heard nobody on our floor) and they provide you with great curtains blocking out the sun in the morning. Beds were extremely comfortable. While the unorthodox bathroom layout does make you pause a bit if you aren't a couple or family sharing the room, it's not as bad as some have made it out to be - there still is a door to both the shower and toilet areas.

While I appreciated the free access to bottled water, I wish they offered some kind of refillable filtered water station in the lounge or something, so I could just refill those bottles instead of always taking new ones and creating more plastic pollution.

The hotel location is perfect. A few meters from the MRT station. There are few restaurant options around the hotel but the Japoli restaurant from the hotel offers a good choice of food at a good price. The rooms are clean and quite sound isolated. At the second floor there is a lounge with coffee tea and other options. All complementary. Breakfast is really extensive with oriental and occidental options. Really good value for the money. ( Of course it is possible to have a cheaper breakfast at one of the local small restaurants).

facility and staff are all top notch. our family stayed there for 3 short periods, each a couple of days, while we traveled from Taipei to Alishan and then Taipei to Japan. The entire experience was perfect. The room was updated and spotless. Staff was friendly and competent (which you don't always get the combination). During the first short stay, the room right above us was playing loud music. I'm very happy how the staff handled the situation by initially trying to communicating to the other room, then apologizing for the inconvenience, and then upgrading us to a larger and quieter room without extra charge. All was done efficiently and professionally. We will definitely go back.

Great location just outside Zhongxiao Xinsheng metro station. There's also a bus stop right in front of the hotel with a bus that goes to Yehliu Geopark. Great triple room that was great for traveling with our daughter. Public bath was very relaxing. I soaked every day! That helped a lot with muscle aches. Hotel provided almost everything we needed: pajama pants and top set, slippers, bottled water, teas, coffees, mini fridge, kettle, cups, saucers, toiletries, shower cap, hairbrush etc. Really japanese style so one can travel light. They refilled the tea/coffee/water every day but one could get more from the lounge on L2. They also had buckwheat and memory foam pillows you could request for, so I didn't need to bring my travel pillow. Japoli restaurant was also surprisingly good, especially the pizza. You've almost everything you need right at the hotel.

The glass walled bathroom lacks privacy. Ok for family but I couldn't shower when my in-laws came over to chat :-p Pajama pants were way too tight. They only have M & L (on request) but even the L was cut too narrow to be comfortable, especially cos the material is not stretchy. If the pants were cut more generously, they would be perfect. The L top was laughably huge, especially compared with the pants. The room was a bit expensive, but that may have been because the AI conference was happening that week we were there. Hopefully the regular price is not that high. Laundry is usual, per-piece hotel pricing. Wish there was coin laundry available. We walked to the nearest laundromat instead.
