Parking was pretty easy. The lakeside walks were great. The room was nice and clean. I love the fact that there were no strong air fresheners. Breakfast was excellent and our server, Alexi, was extremely attentive.

At check in, we had a good experience with the front desk. During the day on Saturday, front desk staff was not very friendly or helpful. My husband did not like the coffee in the room and just wanted regular brew. It was late afternoon, but when he went downstairs there was none.

We liked the outside of the building. We liked the pleasant and very helpful staff.

Mostly, we did not like the renovation. The attempt at "Transitional" or Contemporary in a historic building is a marketing short sighted shame. Not only my opinion and I am an art and design professional, but other guests we spoke with in building were disappointed and expressed the same opinion. My husband hated the drapes and said they looked like camouflage, to him. We felt the restaurant was overpriced for the in the middle of traffic flow location. I am not being rude, just honest...Oh, elevator was exceedingly small. Thank you.

Friendly staff, clean, great location, lovely room

Small details but a robe and slippers would have been great and proper glasses and cups in the room rather than plastic and paper cups. The bar and restaurant were closed on Sunday night which was a little inconvenient

Love how this hotel is in the heart of downtown. We were able to walk to breakfast & even stumbled upon the vendor/farmers market they have every Saturday. We can’t wait to be back someday!

The elevators are quite small, but it IS a historical hotel! This wasn’t an issue for us.

The restaurant service was dreadful. Food left far too long under the lamps. We fetched it ourselves one morning. Hot tea needs boiling water, one morning it was tepid. Please put a salt and pepper on the breakfast table. Breakfast is cold by the time it arrives.

GRERAT LOCATION! Loved being in good walking distance from our favorite bars and restaurants and Lake mirror. Front desk staff were friendly and professional. Room was clean.

Restaurant food was bland and overpriced. They did not honor the unlimited Mimosas advertised with no hours listed on signage. Staff at restaurant very rude. Prices are very high for what you get.

if I had to list one thing, it would be, the hotel collects a $100 fee just in case you want to dine-in or make purchases during your stay. If you do not use the $100. it will be returned. the front desk staff gave me a hassle about proving a refund receipt of $100.00. Once I address this concern with the general manager, he accommodated me and provided a receipt with a signature.

I was in Lakeland with my son touring Florida Southern College and SEU, and the hotel was a close proximity to both colleges. We dined at a restaurant around the corner from the hotel (Nineteen61) which was one of the best meals we've ever had- highly recommend. Overall a very nice experience/stay.

Hotel has been beautifully renovated, rooms are well appointed. The breakfast was well above our expectations as we were able to order from the a la carte menu. Everyone we encountered during our stay, from the front desk personnel to the hotel manager, were most accommodating.

While the hotel is in an excellent location, and we did have a room with a lake view, there can be a bit of traffic noise from the street.

I was thankful for the smiling faces and nice warm personalities as they were working Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I've had to work those holidays in the past and I understand how most don't like it as people don't appreciate those who work enough. I'm thankful for them helping to make my Christmas and those with me more special.
