The location of the hotel is excellent. It is very central but overall in a quiet area. The staff was exceptional, and accommodating with everything we needed. It has an elevator and the rooms are very comfortable, nice, and clean.

Overall everything was wonderful. The only little minus point would be that the superior (upper) rooms have part of the ceilings sloping, although in most of the habitable parts of the room, the ceilings are normal and therefore it is not a major drawback. If you are a person who is hypersensitive to sound, there can sometimes be some noise (from other rooms and the street) during the day and night. But in general, for being so centrally located, it is a very quiet and pleasant place.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Altaïr Hotel! The service was top-notch, and we were especially impressed by Ana and Teresa, who made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and passion for hospitality really stood out, offering a considerate and sweet experience throughout our stay. The hotel itself is cozy and beautifully located in the heart of the old town, making it easy to explore the area. The staff is exceptional, very helpful and attentive. Breakfast is excellent and of good value, including a large array of fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads, cheese, ham, and jams. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The hotel is located a few blocks from the fascinating historic center and it’s easy to explore and return. We were sad to leave!

This is not a problem with the hotel per se. Parking is not adjacent to the property, as with most of the hotels in the historic area, and it takes some time and walking to drop bags, park and return. This did not change any decision or rating of our hotel stay.

Amazing accommodation, we definitely enjoyed our stay! It has a perfect location. It's close to the centre, however, it is in a quite quiet street. The room was spacious and clear. The juliet balcony was very lovely and we had a nice view on the sunset. We asked for a kettle to be in the room and the staff arranged that. They also explained how it is with parking in the city and directed us where to leave our car. I loved the nice touch at the end of our stay where they left a hand written thank you note and sweets. I'd definitely come back if I stay in Santiago!

Fantastic stay in Santiago! This charming, petite hotel boasts a cozy, inviting decor. My room was incredibly comfortable, featuring double-glazed windows that ensured a peaceful night's sleep, a comfy bed with various pillow options, and perfect temperature control. The entire place was spotless. I loved the luxurious Nuxe soaps and creams provided in the shower. However, the highlight was the exceptionally friendly staff who went above and beyond to assist me with anything I needed. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

I had a great stay with my partner and friends. It’s a charming hotel in the perfect location and the staff were very helpful at every turn. I would stay here again with zero hesitation.

The only negative is that there is no kitchen, so no cooked items for breakfast but if you are happy with toast, croissant, cold meat and a great selection of fruits and jams, you’ll love breakfast too! There are good breakfast options near by if you do want something more.

Beautiful small hotel just outside old town. Staff are amazing and nothing too much trouble. The continental breakfast will not disappoint at 9 euros. Staff made us coffees on request at any time of the day or night. Would be nice to have a small bar area.

As with many of the hotels etc. in Santiago parking is difficult and a nearby public parking lot cost 15 euros per day. It was within easy walking distance to hotel once car was parked. Just a small inconvenience.

Second stay in this delightful small hotel. Great location a few minutes walk from the cathedral but in a generally quiet area. The staff are wonderful 😊 and are always willing to help. Breakfasts are fresh and plentiful and a good start to the day. We stayed in the attic room at the top of the building. It had a nice sofa area to relax in though you have to watch your head with the beams! The hotel has been very sensitively restored with lots of use of beautiful wood giving a very warm and cosy feel in the winter. We have stayed in other hotels in Santiago but this is by far our favourite. And we will be back.

Lighting in the attic room could be better and more power points to charge devices would be welcome. There can be external noise at the weekend…. it was still noisy at 4:30am which can disturb sleep. Not the fault of the hotel of course.

I loved the hotel from the moment I walked into the lobby. Clean, bright, friendly staff. The room was spotless, and the breakfast was outstanding, beautiful food and only €9. We had dinner in the neighborhood both nights, places to eat and drink within a 2 minute walk without having to go into the crowded cathedral area. That said, the old town was also only a 5min stroll away.

We arrived very late but the staff was very accommodating and made us felt welcome. They were super lovely and smiley, helped arrange the taxi for the wedding. Also, good photo skills! :) The room was clean and had all the necessities and air con. Was so lovely to have a little balcony. The area is quiet and close to everything in Santiago old town.
